Kaiser Permanente Department of Dermatology

After many years of living in very sunny areas and being physically active, one is bound to notice a thing or two that might be worrisome about their skin.
I’ve been to KP’s Dept. of Dermatology four times, and each time received a wonderfully detailed explanation on the topic of all my worries. On one occasion, my doctor sat down with me, and pulled out a medical encyclopedia to show me samples of what it was that I had on my skin. I find this to be a wonderful tactic, becasue quite frankly, you can call a birthmark something and use a medical term for it but if it is not a part of my daily lingo, i might have no idea of what it is and if it is something that I need to take care of or watch out for, I should get as much detail as posible.
I am worry free and very happy about my doctors here.
