Marcelli’s Barber Shop

This place is ‘open’ on Sunday’s. I called around 8 times to schedule an appointment in the days prior to Sunday. No one answered. There is no website for online appointment booking and there is barely a Facebook. I walked in on Sunday to see if there was availability. I was asked if I had an appointment (what?) and when I replied no the one barber in the building said «we’re closed». I understand if you’re booked, but only if you have a way to book appointments!

Skip this place, this place is ridiculously unprofessional. They cannot acknowledge new customers, waited for an hour as a drop in and couldn’t get any eye contact. No where to sign in and no one at the register, one of the workers even took a break to check his phone and didn’t even look up until his next appt. came in.

Just got my hair cut by Kristen! She gave me exactly what i wanted in length and cut! You should make an appointment with Kristen as she does her job extremly well :) i love how close the place is to my house and how big and spacious this place is. Kristen is my go-​to hair stylist and has been for a long time. They take cash only, just for anyone who doesnt know that haha. Good prices and everything! Thank you kristen for making me look fabulous!

York did a great job on cutting my hair. I highly recommend him to everyone. I will definitely go back again.

Unprofessionals. They only care about their regular customers. We waited for an hour just for them to say they can’t take drop ins! Why don’t you post that on your wall saying no drop ins accepted! Such a waste of time! Didnt even care to let us know! So frustrating

Open Sundays and the barber gave me a great haircut. Served right away and it was cheaper than I expected. I’ll be back.

York did a great job on my son’s combover today! He was the first barber to cut the part in his hair without hurting him. Trust me, we’ve tried other local shops first and York did the best job and gave the best price. My son also liked his hair so much he had to face time my wife before she got home. Just call to make an appointment first, I imagine he is a busy man.

Both my husband and son started getting their haircuts from Marcelli’s. It is a legit barber shop. Tip: Make an appointment. It gets pretty busy during peak times so you’re better off saving yourself and making an appointment. My son gets his haircut by Ed.

I’ve come here 4 times now, and have come to the conclusion that Steve is LEGIT!
This place is hidden in an Asian plaza where parking is ridiculously hard to find. The place is always busy, and the barbers take appointments, so I would recommend calling in first before making the trip out to here. The prices are very reasonable in my opinion (for someone who gets a hair cut every ~2 weeks, I don’t feel like breaking the bank if the only thing that sees me 8 hours of the day is my computer screen).
I saw a lot of great reviews on all the barbers, so I wasn’t sure who to go to. Luckily, my friend who has a similar hair style as mine (comb-​over on top with a fade to #2 on the side) went to Steve, and said that he was the one, so I decided to give him a call.
My first time meeting the guy, he’s super chill and easy going. Did a great job «fixing» my hair since the last barber cut it all uneven. He told me after a few cuts, it would be perfect. He definitely held up to his word. The most recent cut I had from him came out perfectly. He did a great job with a the fade on the side as always, and the length on top just made everything flow together nicely. The blending on the sides were clean and line-​up was just enough where it looked tidy, but not obvious that I had just got a hair cut.
Overall, great experience with Steve. I’m glad I finally found a barber I can trust with my hair!

I just did a walk in for a haircut at Marcellis. Kristen helped me out. I told her what I had in mind and she went above and beyond. She knew what I wanted and was very patient. I had my facial hair trimmed to compliment the new hairdo.

Chris missed his noon appointment today. I made the appointment yesterday and arrived at around 11:50. I let the barbers there know that I had an appointment with him at 12, and then waited.
He didn’t appear at least until 12:20, when I left because another barber returned and started taking walk-​ins. Was the returning barber Chris? Unfortunately, I’ll never find out.

Kristen — Just got a cut from her and she got bars! I got a high fade comb over undercut from her and I’m happy! I’m definitely coming back to her for my chops! I would recommend everyone to come here they cater to everyones preferences.

Get your haircut from Ed. Best barber I’ve been to. He does a good job every time and is super consistent. When I get a cut from him everyone asks who cuts my hair. Dude is real deal and he’s cool. Awesome haircuts is a steal compared to the $ 30 – 50 haircuts I’ve gotten before.

good place it is my first time I liked and price is right I will come back with a smile I know I found my new barber. I had John doing my, haircut he did an excellent job for what I saw all the barbers do excellent .

4 barbers total and only one was taking walk ins. Definitely not a professional barber shop whether someone has an appointment or not you take care of your clients.

Last minute hair cut for our 6 year old. He got in trouble chewing his hair in class…
Anyways, Chris was really great! Nice guy and really friendly with kids and… he gave our boy a nice mohawk ($ 10)!!! Now he looks good and hopefully I won’t be getting anymore phone calls from his teacher in the middle of the day while relaxing and sipping on mojitos, I mean, tidying the house.

Now this is a proper barbershop.
Proper is a man’s man kind of place, where you can leave the kids at home, speak your mind without being judged, and feel confident that your barber’s got your back. Proper is knowing you’ll leave feeling like a million bucks without spending nearly as much.
It’s the attention to detail that makes this place so great — the products they carry, the décor that gets better by each day, and prices… holy hell, I don’t think they’ve changed them since its inception. We’re talking really, really affordable haircuts for something that you might get charged 2−3x for in the city or Oakland.
Get crafted on by cool ass kids. Leave feeling golden without a hole in your pocket.
Now that’s proper.

Want a real mans haircut? Want a real hard part? This barbershop is not for those who rock K-​Pop and Animé Hair. (jesus let us stop that).
Look for Edzel when you are ready to be a man. He will take care of you. It’s a real barbershop and not a beauty Salon.
Beard trim– check. Lines– check… Feeling like a boss when you leave– PRICELESS.

This review is not for the haircut/​shave experience, these guys are veterans at that.
I came in today for a walk-​in beard trim/​line up (actually sitting here while writing this). 3 barbers were cutting, another 3 were sitting so I said cool, I can get in right away. None of them acknowledged me, I had to ask the older man who has the chair nearest the door. He and the other 2 next to him said they are waiting for appointments and it would be disrespectful if they walked in and they were busy working with somebody else. I said that’s fine, but it’s 1:07pm so I’m guessing your appointments are late, so they have to respect your time as well (it’s a 2-​way f*cking street, right?) and that my sit-​in would not even take the slowest barber 5 minutes. They wouldn’t do it –_​–
So, as I’m sitting here, their appointments came in at 1:12, 1:19, and finally 1:27. All I’m saying is that if your appointment is late, then too bad for them! You are running a business, and like any business, TIME IS MONEY! I’m walking out of here now and off to work looking sloppy, but no worries there. Next time, guys.

One of the best and most inexpensive barbar shops I’ve had the please of getting a haircut. Steve, my go to for my comb overs, took his time and made sure that every little detail was covered. They do spend a bit more time with each customer, but you can tell that they do a very good job once that person comes off that barber’s chair.
Quick note: try to come in with a much freer time. Don’t expect to get in an out as this place is very known to many and can be unexpected as to how many people will be served on a given basis.
