Mita Events

We had Mita as our day of coordinator and decorator at our wedding last November. We were thoroughly impressed at her efficiency and coordination. She had great tips for managing the planning and how to decorate our venue. Once the wedding day came, she had everything under control and beautifully managed any mishaps that popped up. Her décor and flowers were also beautiful! She captured the ambiance we wanted to create and it was absolutely lovely! We would highly recommend her!

As a caricaturist of many years I have seen many wedding coordinators. Some better than others. On Saturday I had the pleasure of meeting Mita and her staff. Most wedding coordinators are hustling day of but how many look frazzled or lack efficiency? They work hard but not smart. Not Mita and her staff. I saw them transform an otherwise plain looking hall into an amazing wedding reception. They had a lot of moving parts and a great décor undertaking with a complex grand entry and multiple vendors. Handled it with ease. One could tell they had coordinated many large, weddings. The challenge with wedding coordinators is that in an effort to get the day set up they often have a frazzled, nervous demeanor and so make the guests feel a bit uncomfortable. If you are planning your big day and want confidence, diligence and reliability hire Mita. Highly recommend!

Mita is AMAZING! She is a dream to work with, always striving to accomplish everything you have asked of her (within reason of course). She is such a genuinely nice human being, she is a treat to work with while planning any event. We recently utilized her awesome talents for my wedding week back in June and I couldn’t be happier with the results! Everyone was in awe when they entered our reception! She and her team also did an amazing job decorating my parent’s house for the wedding festivities. She was always easy to get a hold of and always recommended things according to our budget. Mita can take any idea and turn it into reality.
She is the only event planner I have worked with, but she is the best wedding decorator I have seen out there! Please to not hesitate to contact her and include her in your wedding plan.

Mita is awesome!!! We recently used her services for our wedding and reception. I remember when I went into talk to her she was super nice and helpful in helping me pick colors, centerpieces, etc. She is very easy to talk to and approachable! I was able to call/​text her with questions and she responded in a timely manner. Her and her staff did an excellent job of decorating for both events, we got so many compliments. Mita is absolutely the best wedding coordinator/​decorator you will find! We met with a lot of vendors before deciding to go with Mita and her genuine nature and professionalism definitely won us over. Mita did our Engagement Party in March and she did an outstanding job! Everyone could not stop talking about how beautiful the décor was and how smooth the event was. Mita always answers our endless questions/​concerns and always puts us at ease when we are worried about anything. We have booked her for all our 4 days of wedding events and we are so excited to work with her! She always listens to our ideas and gives her honest opinion which is a quality that is very valuable in any good vendor. This review is way long overdue! I got married last year at treasure island in San Francisco and Mita and her entire team were absolutely fantastic! She had not done a wedding there before so she did several walk throughs with me and the venue team. She actually stayed at a hotel on the island the day before so she could get up at crack of dawn on my wedding day! I mean who does that?! Mita does!!! I am pretty OCD and had specific ideas for my wedding day and wedding week. Mita helped me really organize those ideas and play them out flawlessly my wedding week. I had hired her as my wedding coordinator and decorator both. She was always available to answer my questions via person/​texts or calls! She did an amazing job and made my life as well as my parents lives stress free! The fact that my parents and immediate family members were able to actually enjoy my wedding day is all because of mita’s coordination skills :))))
I definitely recommend Mita without hesitation! Wedding planning can be very stressful but be assured that with Mita’s coordination and decoration team you will be in good hands!

It often took awhile to get ahold of her when I had questions and concerns about décor. I understood that it was wedding season, but it became slightly frustrating to get answers from her when I needed it only weeks before the wedding.

Mita was simply wonderful from start to the end; in the preparations and execution of our daughter’s wedding, over independence weekend which had a guest count of 550+.
Mita was a wonderful to work with, always cheerful and available throughout the very complex planning process, as it involved two venues.
On the ‘day of”, Mita and her team tirelessly and seamlessly worked to ensure that the event went without a hitch… which it did.
Instead of writing a long review, I would advise that one looks at the photos of our event (and others done by her)…we asked her for the ‘wow factor’…and that’s what she delivered.

Planning a wedding can become a full time job. You have to carefully plan every detail to make sure that everything goes smoothly. I have a huge family and wanted to make sure that my wedding went smoothly. Which meant having a coordinator who could ensure that everything goes as planned.
I met Mita at a local bridal show and knew that she was someone that I wanted to be part of our special day. When I met Mita she was setting up her Vivah Lounge location. I Loved spending time talking about weddings with her. I had already planned the major parts of my wedding like venues, catering, clothing, and invitations. Mita helped piece the rest together.
She had great ideas that she would share with me. Even sending me pictures at late hours of the night that I would love seeing when I got up in the morning. My husband and I wanted our mandap set up to be different. We had envisioned a circular mandap with a 360 degree view for all our guests. Mita made it happen and it looked perfect. Her décor was amazing and she took the time to make sure all the details were as planned.
I hired Mita for partial planning and she delivered. She did both décor for my sangeet at the Sunol country club and our April 6, 2013 Wedding at Casa Real. At both events she helped make my vision come to life. Mita and her team also came to my home and did some décor. She worked well with both my venues as my day of coordinator for both events. When I walked into both venues I was glad that I had hired Mita and her team because she transformed both rooms into something magical for both our families and friends.
Having Mita be a part of our wedding made sure that our parents were not running around having to take care of small details. She did an amazing job and has been a joy to get to know as well.

Mita was a doll to work with! I researched quite a few decorators before deciding to hire Mita for my July 2013 wedding events. She had great ideas and a lot of patience for my indecisive mind. I had a vision into head of what I wanted but had a hard time finding pictures to show her to reflect exactly what I was thinking.
After much deliberation and going back and forth plenty, Mita created beautiful atmospheres at my Sangeet, Wedding and Reception! I felt astonished walking in and seeing what she had transformed the rooms into!
Best of all, Mita’s pricing is so very affordable! She is very understanding of the pressures of planning a wedding and the cost that comes with it, and works with you accordingly. She is so warm and kind, that even when it seems that things are getting overwhelming, she is able to calm you down.
I am very pleased that we decided to go with Mita and look forward to working with her in the future!

Mita was a pleasure to work with. I recently hired her for my husbands 50^th birthday and she was on top of everything. As this event had time constraints she was there on time, setup and ready by the time the guests arrived and also was done packing up in the given time frame. There were a couple of minor hiccups while she was setting up but she handled them with ease. The hall looked beautiful and all the guest complemented on the wonderful décor.

Mita was not a pleasure to work with.
In my opinion, the complete definition of unprofessionalism.
Planning my sister’s wedding, I had contacted Mita to discuss arrangements for the wedding.
After about three face-​to-​face meetings, Mita suddenly stopped responding to my calls.
As a job that requires customer service, I feel it should be your responsibility to at least let the party know you will be unable to work with them, instead of hiding away last minute… To add on, I had also contacted Mita a few times by sending e-​mails and leaving voice messages (at one point I was worried for her, I was thinking something may have happened to her), however she did not reply.
I visited the Vivah Lounge shortly after to see if I can make other arrangements, where one of the employees called Mita on their phone, and Mita answered their call. However, whenever I would call using my cell phone, she would not answer.
I think we can all agree wedding plans do not happen over-​night, but due to Mita’s unprofessionalism, I was forced to make last minute arrangements myself.
In my case, we did not have a tight budget, as paying customers, we were willing to work with Mita. I just did not appreciate the fact that Mita cut connections without any notice. I definitely do not recommend anyone who does not provide decent service let alone any service.

Mita is super nice, easy to work with, and has absolutely gorgeous wedding rentals!!! She worked with our budget and our vision, and created exactly what we wanted! All of the other event vendors asked for her information; they all said they’d never seen anything like it. Ours was a Middle-​Eastern Nights themed event, and it was just gorgeous, thanks to Mita! If you’re having an Indian, Moroccan, Arabian, or other near or far east event, you won’t find better than Mita for your chairs, tables, linens, and décor. She has traditional rentals as well. I would use her again in a heartbeat. The only let-​down, which is why this review is 4 instead of 5 stars, was that her lighting went out of order the night before the event, and the replacement lighting she arranged for us (more expensive, and she did not ask us to pay the difference) did not have the same effect as the original lighting plan. As a result, the dance floor was too dark, so lighting was an issue throughout the night. But that was a fluke; without that she would have gotten 5 stars. Use Mita Productions and you’ll be so happy you did. All the guests were blown away, and all of our dreams were made reality.

Mita is a pleasure to work with. She recently helped me with my wedding July 2013. I had a certain vision in mind of a custom mandap and was on a tight budget. Although it wasn’t a mandap that Mita had created before, she went above and beyond to gather all the materials, check in with me, and even did a trail before the actual day. Knowing my tight budget, she even through in some extra enhancements to the mandap on her own cost. I could tell that she truly wanted to make my vision a reality and she really listened to my feedback and desires. Out of all my vendors, she was the easiest to get a hold of and was easy to access via email and even phone text day or night. On the day of the event, she was the first vendor to show up (on time) and stayed throughout the ceremony to make sure all went well. She has a great reputation and relationship with other wedding vendors and is always willing to help wherever she can. I didn’t need much help with décor (other than the mandap) but if I had, I would have asked Mita to do it!

WomenNow– Star TV-​UTSAV-​One of the most successful cultural events in the bay area that was attended by over 4000 people over two days would not have been complete without Mita’s hard work, dedication and understanding clearly what was expected out of her, she is marvelous, very accommodating and gives her best. SH decorated the venue and created an amazing ambiance. i look forward to working with her soon again…

Our wedding was on 1÷14÷12 and we hired Mita to be our wedding coordinator. Right from the beginning my husband and I connected with her. We described to her our wedding vision and she got it right away. She designed our table décor, centerpiece, backdrop, and sweetheart table. Our budget was limited and Mita worked hard to help us stay on budget. She proactively contacted vendors to get the best pricing and came up with creative ideas. She saved us from a lot of fights about things that came with wedding stress. Mita was very hands on and available to her brides at all times. She was quick to respond to emails, calls, or texts. On the day of our wedding she was 7 months pregnant, but she kept a tight ship. Everything went smoothly and her team was quick to react. We were carefree on our special day because we knew Mita’s team were on top of things. Every bride-​to-​be should have a wedding coordinator like her. Mita and her team were wonderful and worth every cent.
