Party America

Ok, so if you’ve read some of these other reviews then you can probably guess I’m not going to say good things about customer service, or lack there of. Yes, the employees are rude and unknowledgeable but if you’re not in the need of help then this may be your place. They have just about everything I’ve needed for my parties. There are somethings that are overpriced, like the do it yourself balloon kit that’s $ 10 more than if you bought it from walmart (which happens to be right next door).

Would I go again… Yes, they have everything. Learn the inventory and cut out the customer service issue.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE… the girl working the counter had zero personality, no wait she did because she was RUDE. I asked if they had a certain size balloon, she just barked «ALL OUT» … i dont know it just wasn’t a pleasant experience.
But i have to give it up because the girl in the isle was super friendly… i feel bad she has to work with a person like that.

It’s tough to write a review for this location after having gone to the Fremont, Pacific Commons location. This spot is significantly smaller, though equally well-​stocked, which contributes to its somewhat claustrophobic feel. I got there with some items to return and to pick up thank you cards. One big star off because there were NO shopping carts in the corral. I did see three or four carts in the aisles, filled with merchandise that I could tell the workers were attempting to stock/​restock. So I asked a worker there to help me locate a cart I could put my son in and shop with. She was very nice and removed items from a cart in the middle of one aisle. However, another star off because I had a really hard time navigating around the store with the cart as the aisles were very narrow and packed. I could not linger in one spot too long as well because when another customer wanted to get past me, the aisles were not wide enough for a cart and another person to pass by. I felt like I was living in Manhattan again!
The thank you card selection was pretty good though a bit pricey. I was hoping that more general, large packs of thank you cards were available for me to write thank yous for my son’s first birthday party. I decided to head over to Target to pick up some cuter, more affordable cards i had seen earlier in the week.
When I went to the front to return my one item, the worker that helped me locate the cart also rung me up. It seemed like there was a serious lack of staff at this location, in comparison to the Fremont/​Pacific Commons location. She quickly rung me up and managed to make some cute silly faces at my son in the process.
Great store but this location is too cramped and doesn’t have enough shopping carts. I’ll probably return if I know exactly what I need and don’t have to browse.

would have given 4 stars but customer service sucks! Once upon a time they had a great cashier/​customer service associate there. Ya’ll need to call her and get her back. She was helpful in every way and knew where everything was. think her name was Christine???

Customer service could be better. Thank goodness I know the layout of the store or else this place would be getting no STARS!

I was immediately greeted as I walked in. I found exactly what I was looking for and the cashier was friendly. I hate this shopping center because of the layout but this store is in the far corner next to Office Max and there’s really no issues in terms of finding parking.

Ok. one star for the Halloween costumes & decorations. Minus 4 stars for the employee who thought that hustling through a crowd of people looks good. Unfortunately for my 2 yr old daughter was right next to him. And guess what happened next… My daughter gets shoved into the ground and she cried. The only thing he said was…“Uh…Sorry.” Then he left. He is lucky that I had my other kids with me. Someone would have been fired…

Admittedly, while the decorations are not very high class or fancy, they get the job done… especially when you aren’t into decorations like me. I was amazed how I was able to get everything for my sister-in-law’s baby shower done at Party America — balloons, party favors, decorations, everything. The prices are a bit high for what you get, but it’s perfect if you’re in a time crunch. And the people who work there seem so nice!!!

If you don’t mind kiddie type of decorations for a party, go to Party America. They have great latex balloons… too bad there wasn’t too big of a selection as far as colors. They even had a huge cardboard stand where there is a funny picture but the heads are missing – this would be funny for guests to poke their faces in and take a souvenir pic.
But aside from the fun, like I said, most of the time, the decorations are too kiddie /​plastic — also known as tacky. And their prices are kinda expensive as well. Nevertheless, I still come here because they’re so convenient.
