My favorite place to eat lunch with my mom. We both get the BBQ spare ribs lunch portion! The ribs are so tender! Try the Thai iced coffee, too! Yum!

It was good enough. But I’ve had better. Not a whole lot of vegetarian options. Staff was nice but the attentiveness dropped mid-way thru meal.

Everything my family and I ordered was flavored to near perfection. The beef in the curry melted as it hit my tongue. The fried rice, pad thai, and tofu we ordered had flavors that I didn’t get tired of. Not only that, the food came out 10 – 15 minutes after we ordered it(granted, it wasn’t too too busy). Also, the server was super nice, everything at least looked clean and well kept. People around us seemed to have a good time too like they looked forward to coming here specifically.

It’s OK. Waited for a long time for water refills. They don’t seem to wash their bamboo shoots, because the curries had super strong bamboo stench. The food was OK, not the greatest Thai food in the area though.

Am having red curry. It’s really good. Clean flavours with a nice touch of spice. The chicken is cooked just right and the curry sauce has a bland of curry and coconut. It wasn’t very busy, but the Japanese soup restaurant across the street has a waiting line, so they may be taking customers away. I would take this restaurant over a wait over there anytime. Also had the fried bananas and ice cream. Awesome.

Excellent Thai food :) Vegetarian me asked for some tofu to be added to the garlic pepper broccoli and it was fresh and crispy and yummy. My boyfriend got what looked like the Thai answer to Turducken with some shrimp and beef wrapped inside a leg of deep fried chicken. He seemed very happy with it. We were both tempted by the FBI fried banana dessert but fortunately neither of us said so and kept to our dietary promises… But there is always next time! Praise for the exceptionally empathic late night waiter, who kept an eye to see when it was desired that he approach and when privacy was preferred. And if one likes cats, a friendly Siamese and her Ginger companion are prowling the nearby lot.

Their bbq marinade is to die for! Everything Ive tried here satisfied my palate. Servers are polite & service is quick. Don’t be fooled by the silence, this is one of Union City’s hidden gems!

I was craving rice and meat and since I’ve Unilocaled this spot a while ago and have never been there I decided to check them out. This little whole in the wall spot is located right next to the Filipino market. As we walked in, a gentlemen greeted us and sat us by the booth. We didn’t expect much since we haven’t been here so decided to order the Papaya salad, pad Thai, bbq pork dinner special with shrimp fried rice & angel wings with shrimp fried rice. I must say this place blew my expectations away. Everything was nice and tasty, the service was superb, the food was hot(temperature), food came out efficient And my overall experience was that my fiancé and I were satisfied. I highly recommend this place and will be definitely come back again!

Im only giving this place 5 stars because literally they have the best phở. Ive been searching for that bowl of phở for 2 decades to measure up to what I had back in Thai Land as a little kid and this place definitely did it for me. Ive only had better phở at one other place(I think! Bc its in Vegas and my memory is blurred). But Ive tried this place enough to confirm it being the best! Oh and the beef curry is sooooo tender and thick. It literally melts in my mouth. They did their meat right! The eggrolls(im an eggroll fanatic) and fish cakes didnt cut it for me. I think they could use more flavors. The sauce for the crispy fish doesnt complement it. Whatever herbs they used in the sauce was too strong. My verdict — I will most definitely go again!!!

Our group came here on a Thursday night at around 8pm. It was pretty dead inside the restaurant but that didn’t scare us. Nix was our server, and he was very attentive and accommodating. Our service overall was very smooth. Since our group were the only ones dining in the restaurant, our food came a bit slow but that would be understandable. It’s not necessarily a bad thing that the food came out slow, in fact it only meant that the food was freshly cooked, and we were completely satisfied with that. Anyway, the food was scrumptious! Most Thai restaurants are average but this one surpassed my expectations. It was fantastic. All of the appetizers were really good, such as the Beef Larb, Fried Ribs and Angel Wings. I definitely recommend them all. I’m actually on a diet(WHAT?!) so I couldn’t order anything with too much carbs. I really wanted to try their pad see ew or their drunken noodles, but alas I had to resist. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in the area, and when I’m off my diet! *cry*

I called and ordered Thai BBQ ribs, beef satay, Thai Iced Tea, Thai Iced Coffee, and two mango sticky rice orders for take out during dinner time. Items came with a nice portion of red short grain rice and had 2 shrimps per order in there. The shrimp was a nice touch, but it wasn’t very fresh because it was kinda mushy. I also wish the red rice was the traditional long grain Thai rice instead. Thai BBQ ribs were meaty, but not burnt enough. Tasted OK. The honey sauce the ribs came with was pretty yummy. The Beef Satay was pretty satisfying and had a very flavorful satay taste to it; the peanut sauce and cucumber sauce were on point as well. The mango sticky rice was pretty good, but the mangoes were«so, so» because they weren’t very fragrant nor sweet. The TIT and Thai Iced Coffee were very sweet, so let the ice melt into the drink before drinking it. My experience was OK. I just tried this spot out cuz I had a random craving for Thai food. Give it a shot!

Yummy food and cheap. Great for family, quiet and family type of place. I love it. Their pad Thai and fresh spring roll is indeed tasty fresh. Peanut sauce is one of the best too!

Food was so incredibly bland. I ordered a Pad Woon Sen and split a Tom Yum soup with hubby. The Tom Yum soup, while extra spicy as we requested, tasted a tiny bit off, but I shrugged it off, thinking, «whatever, it’s just their take on it, so what if it’s a little different from what I’m used to». Then the pad woon sen came. and it was like, blanched white, clearly lacking any sauce. I was super disappointed in this, and while our waitress was very nice and friendly, I don’t think I’ll ever return.

Was craving pad Thai but didn’t want to drive far because I was already pretty hangry(lazy at its finest) so decided to give this spot a try. It was a Wednesday night about 8pm when I arrived and the place was empty so we were seated and helped right away. Once we order more family started arriving for dinner and the place attracted a decent amount of customers. The prices were cheap!!! Ranging from $ 7 – 10 for huge portions of food. My pad Thai tasted as expected and my BF’s pineapple fried rice was delicious. The curry powder was definitely stronger in his dish than I was used to but tasted good nonetheless. We both has plenty left over to take home. Recommend! I love this place it’s my go to!

Thai Original BBQ has an extensive menu which i totally ignored. just looked at specials at noodle section. went for a virgin eat: thai boat noodles, available with four kinds of noodles, espcially thin, wide, thick or ? - eats: thai boat noodles(6.95) –went with recommended thai thin noodles –meatballs, kidneys, sliced beef were the proteins –broth beefy, five spice flavoring with slight msg aftertaste –not filling, pricey compared with s.f. value 2ish stars, novelty, taste: 4 stars take outs: –eatery is thailish, transported into a new dimension when u enter –realtiy strikes when i noticed fish tank has no fish. –service professional, smiling, food wrapped tightly to go. –didn’t try to eat noodles in car. it would have a mess. –not sure about other items. thai boat noodles rocks!(better without the msg.). 3.5 stars

So, a buddy and I came here one evening. I ordered the beef pad see ew and he ordered the crispy duck. The pad see ew was tasty but the beef was a tad overcooked and the dish was drier than how some Thai restaurants make it. Still I thought it was decent overall. Here is the really bad part: The crispy duck that my friend got was TERRIBLE. On a huge bed of rice lay a shriveled up, overly deep fried duck leg. It was so deep fried and dry that the texture was like beef jerky and there wasn’t even much meat to begin with. My buddy scavenged for all the meat he could get out of it but was still pretty hungry and dissatisfied. Here is the other bad part: I called the waitress over and told her about the problem(in a calm and civil manner). She responded by saying in a snarky tone«so what do you want? You want me to give this meal for free??». I said«well since you mentioned it, then yes.» To which she replies, «I can’t do that. The best I could do is half off». Why ask me if I want the dish to be comped if that wasn’t possible anyway? The answer is bad attitude. That, along with the terrible crispy duck, is why this place gets a one star from me and it is also why it will never see another dime from me again.

Thai Original BBQ could very well be one of the best kept secret Thai eateries in the Union City area. I would never have found this place if it wasn’t for my friend. The restaurant is in an obscure strip mall which I’ve driven by many times. My friend brought me here and I was surprised how good the food was. The lunch specials are the way to go! Since the place is called TOBBQ, I had to give the BBQ chicken a try. The lunch special included 4 pieces of chicken — a breast, thigh, drumstick and wing. Chicken tasted like it was brined as it was very tender. It comes with a side salad and fried rice. Definitely enough for 2 meals. All for only $ 7.50. Can’t beat it. Friend ordered the Tom Yum Soup with a side of white rice. The Tom Yum Soup was a humongous bowl filled with lots of seafood. That portion could easily serve 4 – 5 people. She seemed to enjoy the soup a lot. The waiter was super nice and came by to check on us a few times even though he was the only person running the entire front of the house by himself. Overall, nice little neighborhood Thai place to have a casual meal. Great value and generous portions.

Definitely coming back here! Came hear with a friend and immediately I noticed how clean it looks. The waiter was very polite, gave us delicious salad on the house after he took our order. The wait for the food wasn’t too long, when we actually got what we ordered I was surprised on how much the portion was on the plate and the presentation was nice to look at. It was worth every penny.

This is the PLACE! It’s a hole in the wall delight! I take everyone I know here & I refer people here all the time. I love the food & the service & the price! Lunch menu– 11am-3pm L-3 is my go to order. It’s enough to feed 2 – 3 people! First of all, the chicken is moist & I love the marinade! &OMG, the rice. The rice is fried rice but it’s so yummy! However, the one item that strings everything together is the sauce. YOUMUSTTRYTHESAUCE!!! You haven’t lived until you try the sauce! I’ve also tried the BBQ spare ribs & omg. Same love as the chicken lunch. Pad Thai & Pad See Ew… I can never decide between the two! This is always a favorite of my family! Yellow Curry(take out onion & substitute mushroom) — this is amazing. The mushrooms make the difference! The coconut sauce is so MMMMGOOD! For all this good food by the way… The price is SOWORTHIT. Almost everything is less than $ 10! The portions itself makes the dish $ 12-$ 13 easy. I can go on & on about the food but I’m going to also praise the service! Since I come here often, the servers know who I am & they remember my name! They make great conversations with you & remember the conversation when they see you next. They’re always so bubbly & smiling & always check up on you. If you haven’t been here yet, tell them Gwyne sent you!
