History

Established in 2013.

Master Zhang started the kung fu training at age of 7 in Shaolin Temple, from 1987 – 2004.Shaolin temple is the most famous world wide kung fu school, even expands into Standford university.

He was a selected as a lead coach in China, Beijing in the competition team.

After immigrated to the united state, he was a coach for 4 years at a kung fu school in a beautiful town of Alameda, CA.

Our kids love going to their kung fu class at Zhang Kung Fu Institute. Sifu Zhang is great with children. He can be very funny and animated but also teaches great discipline, perseverence and respect. The tuition is also affordable. My son is 9 years old and my daughter is 6 years old. They always look forward to go to class and learn more kung fu from Sifu Zhang.

We are very pleased with Sifu Zhang. He is very patient and extremely knowledgeable of the techniques he teaches his students. He incorporates different teaching strategies to help the wiggly, hyperactive kids (like my soN) stay on task and focused. My son is always asking if he can go more than 2 days a week to train. His training is also sculpting his body — it’s strange to see my little 5 year with a six pack forming on his abs. haha. Thanks Sifu Zhang! Logan enjoys your class immensely!

Sifu Zhang’s Kung Fu is one of the best things that happenned to my kids. My 9 and 7 yr olds enjoy their lessons so much. Sifu Zhang’s consistent enthusiasm and energy in encouraging the kids to bring out their best is very appreciable. I would highly recommend this place for your kids.

Our two kids 6 and 4 love going to their Kung Fu Class at Zhang Kung Fu Institute at Union City. They love their teacher Sifu Zhang who makes the experience for these little ones so much fun but challenging too. The kids keep on asking .‘When is our next Kung Fu class… is it today ?’
We have never seen a teacher with such patience and enthusiasm while working with little kids. We are glad we put them here.

My son has been training there since 10⁄2013 when he’s 4 years old. I absolutely loved the way Sifu Zhang teaches him. With a right balance of fun and discipline, my son was able to have more self control and confidence. It is hard work but he still love going there 2 times a week. Some time he wants to stay longer after the class has ended.
The class is not crowded like some other studio in the area. He was giving the right amount of attention from the instructor. The kids there were nice. He made quit a few friends there.

My daughter justed started to learn Kung Fu with sifu Zhang, and I was so surprise and happy to know that my daughter loves it. My daughter is having lots of fun while she’s learning kung fu. I enjoy watching her practice and laughing at the same time. SInce my daughter is only 5 yrs old, I appreciate how sifu Zhang teaches kung fu with fun in it. They just started this institute this year, so hopefully more students will enroll, My daughter now looks forward to every tuesday.

Sifu Zhang (Steven) is a fantastic teacher. Not only do my children love him, all the children love him. Sifu Zhang really inspirers people of all ages to push themselves while having fun at the same time. I am impressed with how experienced Sifu Zhang is as a teacher and his martial arts skills. My daughters have learned so much through his guidance. He knows each persons strengths and weaknesses and works well with everyone. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Sifu Zhang and I know Zhang Kung Fu Institute will not disappoint. I highly recommend going here, you will NOT regret :)
