The Beacon Bar & Grill

Interior was very disappointing. And service was cold just like the weather outside. If it wasn’t for the fact that it’s so cold outside n the next restaurant was miles away I would’ve left as soon as we walked in. Food was ok. We had chicken parm. The sauce was good but the chicken was just a breaded cutlet not pounded and thin. The Italian wedding soup was nothing special. The desserts were too sweet — got the truffles and peanut butter pie. Plus our server was rude and not very welcoming. I wanted to hang my coat but the coat rack was full of old t shirts n sweatshirts. Like their pile of list and found. After a long day of skiing treat yourself to somewhere nicer. Stay away nothing here.

The chicken parm was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were courteous and informative, the outdated décor is only thing I’d like to see changed.

The Beacon offers large portions of good food at a reasonable price. The staff in the dining room were attentive and friendly. Dinner and drinks for five came to less than $ 75. If you are in the Uniondale area you should check the Beacon out.
