Good Fortune

Chinese food is always a gamble, but you’ll have GOOD FORTUNE when you pick this spot. Food is really top notch and the prep an cooking area are really clean. Doesn’t have that burnt grease smell like most Chinese Takeouts. I was very impressed with the quality and flavor. It’s a permanent address in the gps when I’m truckin through the area.

This is my favorite Chinese spot in the world!!! I have a few favorites but this is my #1! They have the best Chinese food ever! I work down the street and I’m always coming here. Even when I order over the phone the owner already know what I want by the sound of my voice. Best spot ever. Great chicken wings amazing!!!

My favourite and the best «hood» Chinese takeaway spot in Union/​Springfield area. They’re located in the Best Buy/​Shop Rite strip mall & have been here for a while and I’m never disappointed. From the General Tso chicken to the Szechusn style chicken or beef or even their non-​traditional fried chicken 4 for under $ 4. They even have their own iced tea that is perfectly sweetened. It’s the place to eat. Plus they deliver and Ms. Li always remembers my name & address.

Really good food. My wife and I order take out from there at least twice a month. The woman at the front is friendly and very fast. They recently renovated the inside of the establishment so it looks much nicer than about a year ago. I recommend the food here!

I have been going to this place regularly for year and overall the good has always been good BUT I recently went there and while eating in I over heard another person say that they found a bug in there food. The woman in the counter apologized and obviously did not have her pay. Yesterday I went there and got some soup and I also FOUND A BUG IN MY SOUP! Needless to say I will not be going there again.

this is a very good restaurant! the food is also delicious! therefore i would recommend this restaurant to anyone who like chinese food!

While still only a half-​hearted endorsement, Good Fortune does better the area’s «Chinese grunge» eateries sufficiently to warrant a second star.

I Ate here because of reviews but food was horrible. I ordered chicken broccli. Chicken was undercooked!!! Sauce was plain I had to add more soy sauce and white rice mushy

Yummy local and reasonably priced. We love the boneless ribs and Kung Pow Chicken. I always ask for it extra spicy and they always remember! The delivery guy always has a smile on his face. I give it the thumbs up!

This place is a great lunch spot. It has some of the most delicious food outside of NYC. The service is fast, and the prices are reasonable. I would reccomend to anyone.

Usually it’s my liver taking punishment, but I decided to switch it up a bit and take it out on my stomach.
Nothing does that better than greasy Chinese food. Of all places to get Chinese this isn’t my number one choice. But it is my choice for take out delivery to my company for some good olé lunch break in front of the computer as I shop for shoes through Zappos.
They make some super good twice cook pork, along with their house noodle soups. If you are looking for some good fried chicken wings, then search no further, this place has the best fried wings.

Chinese take out as good as it gets in Union. I’ve lived in town for 20 years and this is by far the best in town. I’ve made it a mission to try every union chinese spot from double dragon, to hunan royal, to great wall and Good Fortune comes up on top. The lady who answers the phone is very good at understanding the order and is very polite. Extensive menu that has everything from combos to scallion pancakes, which are not on every menu. Food is well prepared and delicous. i’ve picked up on occasion and the place is very clean and bright. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. if your a college student or its friday night take out at home, choose Good Fortune!

!!ALERT! This place has Veggie Duck and Pad Thai!
While it looks like another fast food chinese spot in a Best Buy lot, it will surprise you: This place serves its own plate of veggie duck and Pad Thai, for about $ 5 each! Its a take-​out place and the options are all typical, but if you’re ever craving either of these two dishes, i highly recommend stopping here and picking either (or both) up.
The pad thai is absolutely perfect, made better than the Morris ave «Thai Cuisine» in Union. I typically get it with Tofu, because of my vegetarian girlfriend :) The tofu bits are nice, tough and chewey like pieces of pork.
As far as the veggie duck, it tastes like veggie duck you would get at a proper NYC veggie restaurant or Montclair’s Veggie Heaven. It is well made, passes for real duck (maybe even a little tastier, if you’re slowly losing your taste for animal flesh like I am) and is fairly succulent. This place serves typical other chinese fast food items, too, but that’s not worth the extra trip on route 22. :)
