Worst acrylic nail set and gel manicure I have ever had. I was trying to find a new salon to get my nails done and decided to try this as it was open on a Sunday. The manicurist who is doing my nails was constantly on her phone and I wanted a glitter ombré for polish and she failed miserably. The acrylic was lumpy. Totally uneven and one filing down my nails with the electric filer she cut my cuticles until they started to bleed it was a disaster and I do not recommend this

The woman that threads eyebrows here is fantastic! I’ve been looking for someone who can properly thread my eyebrows and she did an amazing job. My eyebrows haven’t looked this good in a long time. I haven’t gotten my nails done here yet, so I can’t really review that. The place itself is a little drab looking, but it seemed pretty busy. The eyebrow lady (I forgot her name) is there everyday after 10:30. 6 dollars for waxing, 8 dollars for threading. I’ll be back!

Decent and quick no problems just walked in and was seated immediately! Soaked off my previous gel manicure and before I knew it I was out of there. First time in and no major complaints

I had been getting pedis @ star nails for the last 2 yrs & had been satisfied. However, the last 2 times I went I got stuck with a new «pedicurist» who looks very young. I wish they wore name tags (first name is sufficient) so I could say who it was. She seemed extremely disinterested and put no effort into either removing polish, the mini leg message or putting the polish on neatly and evenly. I had to point out twice that she did not remove all the polish and that the cuticles were not removed properly either. She obviously had little or no training. She was constantly looking in the other direction, no eye contact, no smiling. If the management thinks this woman is fit to work in their salon, they have lowered their standards. I will not be returning.

Can’t attest to their nails. But if you want your eyes to bee entirely on fleek, this is a gem. I’m headed there now actually –hoping there isn’t a 35 minute wait for eyebrows BC that’s extremely typical

Service used to be good. Very sloppy now. Gel colors are extremely watered down.

Crazy busy, bustling, and just plain good. Consistently fine mani pedis, good spa pedi choices, accommodating staff, and reasonable value.

Probably one of the better nail salons in Union. The owner seems like a huge a-​hole from the way he yells at his employees and doesn’t even crack a smile to any customer. The eyebrow lady is my favorite– she is the only one I trust for threading my eyebrows. The mani/​pedi girls are also good, they are friendly. Lots of colors and clean and comfy. But it does make me feel uncomfortable when the owner yells at people in front of you.

I love star nails! Friendly staff & great experience everytime im there! I only go to Jenny — she is amazing & incredibly talented!

The ladies who do the mani/​pedis are really sweet. Although they are very quiet, they will listen and make sure to do whatever you need done. 4 stars because appointments are always compromised by walk-​ins.

I have heard many poor reviews and feedback about this business but I have yet to have a horrific experience here. I have been here quite a few times and have even brought a friend with me on a couple occasions. The staff is professional and polite; I appreciate that they give me my space on days when I don’t want to talk and just want to get my nails done. I especially appreciate that they use linings in the tub for the pedicure! It makes me feel safer and it makes the establishment seem cleaner.
My only complaint is that it is sometimes annoying to get pressured into services that I didn’t ask for, but that is usually the case with most nail salons… they’ve gotta make their money. Overall, this is a place that I will continue to go to for my nail needs.

I’ve had it with «Star» Nails. There is nothing bright and sparkling about this place except for the glitter nail polish on the wall! I’ve been coming here well over a year but I won’t be going back.
I was pleased with the service in the beginning, however, the service has «fallen off». The girls they have doing the pedi’s and mani’s have major attitude problems (some of them).
I made an appointment for today with someone that usually does not do my nails; however Miss ELIZABETH had done them once before and I liked the way she painted my nails. She made a comment to the owner about how another manicurist always does my nails. The owner told ELIZABETHthat I had called & made an appt. with her. She basically refused to do my nails. So, I told her that she doesn’t have to worry about doing my nails ’cause she won’t EVER do my nails again!
So, I got Narcisa who is one of two girls who does my nails on a regular but I’m not happy with how she paints my nails. Also, when I got home, I took off my flip flops and noticed she left dead skin on my left big toe that was obvious to the eye.
To put the icing on the cake, when I went to pay, the owner says, «$ 30». I said, «$ 30??». Mind you, a mani & pedi is $ 20 and I got designs on 4 nails. I got the same amount of designs last time & I wasn’t charged extra. Needless to say, I paid and voiced my discontent and I will NOT be going back!

i have ‘stiletto’ nails (the ones that look like claws) and when i moved to union in may everyone i met swore by star nails. i started out going to Jenny and she is really good and has been there for a long time (you can tell because she knows everyone who walks through the door) and i like the way she did my nails. she knew exactly what i wanted and even did amazing hand painted designs. the only thing that made me mad is i always felt like she was rushing and didnt have enough time to do the designs i wanted.
my roommate suggested i try Julie. so i did and she is AMAZING and always has more than enough time for me and does the best job ever EXCEPT– this is the third time i called and shes been ‘out sick’ all week and this is not the first time (or second) in the last few months that ive needed a fill and she was out sick.
over all the service is good the place is pretty clean and they have lots of color choices for gel and regular polish. i would recommend them to anyone and i see men in there pretty often so its male friendly as well.
