Being new to this area I Was recommended to this restaurant by a family member who gave it really good reviews. The pork fried rice was freshly made and full of pork. I also ordered the beef with broccoli (delicious.)Also had the cheese rangoon and the hot and sour soup was delicious. My new go to spot in Union.

Exceptional food. We drive from Flemington. the best pork fried rice. Full of pork. Tasty. Chicken noodle soup filled with noodles. Yum. Well worth the trip. Nothing like it here that’s for sure. You won’t be disappointed. The best. Not greasy. Freshly made for you not like some others have food sitting under a heat lamp or soaking up grease.

I’m very picky when it comes to my Chinese carry-​out and for the most part Union Lotus fulfills all my Cantonese cuisine hunger pains.
The General Tso Chicken was equal parts chicken to sweet and spicy sauced, crispy dough goodness on the outside. The fried rice was fluffy, not greasy. The egg rolls, fried chicken wings, and sweet and sour chicken were crisp and golden but not drenched in oil. The lo-​mien was just saucy enough without being overly salty. This was traditionally flavored, hole-​in-​the-​wall style Chinese food that came without the guilt, bloatedness and MSG headaches of those aforementioned places.
But it doesn’t stop there. Not only was the food great, but for a cash and carry, the service was always great. The lady at the counter was always so nice and often made sure I didn’t have to pay extra for substitutions.
My only complaints about Union Lotus are that they don’t deliver and are cash only, and for that I give Union Lotus a 4⁄5!

I’ve been ordering from here since they were Hunan Royal. I have nothing bad to say about this place and I think so far it’s the best Chinese food I’ve had. The chicken actually taste like chicken and its not chewy like other places. I recommend this place to everyone who asks.

I have nothing bad to say about this place… we’ve been ordering here for the past 5 years and the food is good. They have a different taste to their Chinese food and the wifey agrees with me… try the chicken wings… you won’t be disappointed!

I eat at this establishment far more often then I would like. That’s not a criticism of the restaurant as much as a criticism of the local food troughs in the surrounding area that close at 9PM.
The food is of a high quality for a delivery Chinese place. I tasted a lot from the menu and can recommend the boneless spare ribs, lo mein and wonton soup.
The restaurant does well with special orders and is quick. The price is slightly above average but well worth it for a clean, quality Chinese place.

first time ordering here and decided to give it a try. DISAPPOINTED! i ordered some cold sesame noodles and thats just what i got, wheres my celery/​scallions, greens add a lot. chow mein had NO noodles, the chicken in the lo mein was almost non existent and were dry, sweet sour chicken sauce was WATERY and tasted like a hint of A1 sauce. will not order from here again.
