Specialties
Prodigy School of the Arts specializes in Music lessons for all instruments, Kindermusik classes for Preschoolers, and dance classes in ballet, tap, lyrical and hip hop. Team Prodigy members compete in National dance competitions.
We teach voice, musical theatre and performing arts with an emphasis on preparing students to become working performers and recreational performance.
Prodigy Preschool features a homeschooling style environment that prepares a limited number of students for Kindergarten or first grade.
Our Afternoon Performing Arts Academy lets students participate in multiple performing arts disciplines at an affordable rate for busy parents. We have self defense classes for school age students as well.
Recitals help our students gain skills that will serve them well in their educational and career paths.
We feature a String Lab, Vocal Lab, Computer Lab, Piano Lab, 1300 sq ft Dance room as part of our space.
History
Established in 1999.
Prodigy School of the Arts started as a piano lesson program teaching children local to the area. As time passed, more instruments, dance and acting began to become a part of the program. A major focus of Prodigy has been Early Childhood Arts Education featuring Kindermusik which has yielded many successful students.
Many of our early Kindermusik graduates went on to be come multi-disciplined artists in a parts of the entertainment world.
We now boast a highly respected NYSSMA training program, working in partnership with local schools for their student’s success in NYSSMA festivals.
Our growing and successful dance program includes ballet, tap, hip hop, and lyrical.
We now offer Zumba and Yoga classes for adults who look to improve their quality of life through movement, stress reduction and exercise.
Students who have attended Prodigy have gone on to receive scholarships to Ivy League Schools as well as become successful in many career paths.
