Rude, indifferent and definitely not customer service oriented. I went in for the first time to purchase wine. I roamed around for several minutes and got no offer for assistance from the staff. When I took my selection to the check out the employee standing there fiddled with the register and never asked me if I had found what I needed or thanked me for my business. Guess what folks? This ain’t the old country. People here don’t have to wait in line to buy things like wine and cheese!

I ordered two specialty liqueurs online on a Saturday and received them the following Wednesday (and I did not pay extra to have them shipped sooner). The bottle were in perfect condition, wrapped and packed extremely well. I was sent two personalized e-​mails from a staff member at Cedar Green, one notifying me that my order was received and a tracking number would be sent to me soon and one with the tracking number.
I cannot say how much I appreciate this efficiency, professionalism, and good service. I also cannot say how much I appreciate finding the two specialty liqueurs after not being able to find them locally.
While the price to ship may be a little high, ordering online from Cedar Green Wine & Cheese is definitely worth it for ease of ordering and finding specialty items as well as for convenience and fast, quality service!

I love this place. It is like I am a part of the family every time I stop by. It is low key and casual.
The bar has a great assortment of beers and great wine by the glass. My wife and I will stop by and get a cheese plate and split a bottle of wine.
The prices of the retail wine is at the best point allowable by the state. Michael does an amazing job finding outrageously good wine for staggering deals.
The wine tastings and other events are surviving on the cake. The most recent wine tasting was fabulous and allowed me to taste several bottles that I will be laying down for a few years.

I was at Cedar Green Wine and Cheese recently on a Friday night. There was a crowd of about 20 people or so and the one bar tender was working his hardest to get drinks out and was doing a solid job.
Suddenly, an older woman in blue suede pajamas (?) starts yelling at the bar tender and another girl who seemed to be trying to help the bar tender (I think she works there but wasn’t on that night).
There ended up being a line of customers waiting for service while this woman had the bar tender as well as the young woman trapped by the beer cooler yelling at them. I have to guess that she was some kind of manager but this is no way to run an establishment. Especially when there is a large group of customers.
The drinks are a decent price sure but the managers here will ensure that you don’t get service by screaming at the employees while they’re trying to do their job.
I’ll spend a couple of bucks extra and go to a place where the customers as well as employees are treated with a little more dignity.

Last night I had an awful experience at Cedar Green Wine & Cheese.
First of all, what I like about independent wine stores is the trust they convey. This was not the case for me at Cedar Green Wine & Cheese.
I arrived around 8:45pm and the shop keeper named Barbara was extremely rude and trying to rush me saying that the store is closing in 10 minutes. I promised her that it will take me less time to decide. When I brought my wine to the register, (Burgess Cabernet Sauvignon) I was embarrassed that I mistook the faintly printed and faded price tag of $ 34.99 for $ 17.99
I then asked her if she could help me find a good Cabernet preferably from Napa that could stand up to the one I mistook for around $ 15-​$ 18. She very quickly looked than sharply said No! Then, I asked how about a Petite Sirah? She condescendingly laughed at me and said «not from Napa» then suddenly grabbed a bottle off the next shelve and quickly walked away from me while what look like she was hiding something. She rushed towards the register saying,” this is a good deal its a $ 30.00 bottle of wine for $ 15.00. (Domaine Tournon Shiraz Limestone Coast 2004.)” When she grabbed the bottle she tore-​off a store description card, you know the kind they write up in magic maker with the wine characteristics showing the original price and the mark down price? I asked her what the alcohol content is and with a quick second look she rudely replied, «I don’t know., trust me you’re getting a good deal $ 15 for a $ 30 bottle.» I felt intimidated, rushed and uneasy. My inner instinct told me to just politely leave with a thank you but her pushy attitude won. (a little perturbed I asked her what her name was, thinking about calling and complaining) When I got home and opened the bottle I found the smell of dirty rags and the taste of something out of an old rubber garden hose.
What also upset me is when I checked the store website, the wine was listed at $ 19.99 discounted to $ 13.99

Great place to talk beer and wine!

Was there for the first time last night. Awesome place to unwind and have a glass of wine or beer from there very large selection. Prices are very reasonable. Only regret is we don’t live closer.

I’ve been looking for a solid wine store and this is it! First of all they have a bar with a really solid selection of craft beers on tap. When I went in they had southern tier 2x IPA on tap which is my all time favorite. The wine store is separated by geographic regions as expected. The selection is better and more curated than other places I have been in the area. The prices seem fair with quite a number of higher priced wines with significant discounts. They also have the ratings posted on a good number of their wines, which helps when you are feeling indecisive. Overall this is the best wine store I have found in Cleveland thus far. Any place you can drink a frosty beer while wine shopping is a plus.

Let me start by saying I’ve spent hundreds of dollars at this store in the past. It’s never really been bad or good. It’s got a reasonable selection for a little mom and pop, definitely on the pricey side.
I like to frequent local businesses, even if it’s a buck or two more so on a trip home to visit my parents, my brother and I stopped in to grab a couple of six packs of microbrews. I saw they were serving beer, so I figured while we look for a couple minutes we could split a beer. First I asked if we could drink one while shopping. The lady thought about it for a while then stated «well, I guess we let people do it with wine, so why not.» Then I asked if she could put it in two glasses she thought and said:
«WE DON’T DO THAT HERE. IF YOU’RE TOO CHEAP TO BUY TWO BEERS THEN NO.»
This is the owner’s wife mind you. When I tried to explain its not a money thing, it’s about time, she didn’t hear me because she was too busy loudly calling us cheap and complaining. I also stated that we were in fact purchasing things, and that I had been a customer for a long time. She either didn’t care, or didn’t hear. I turned around and walked out rather than give my money to a place that treats its customers this way.
I will NEVER go here again, and I would suggest you go to Heinen’s across the street, as it’s a little cheaper, and way more friendly.
