Venus Nails

She cleaned up my nails and i like the outcome but she charged me extra for the length which doesn’t make a lot of sense but it’s alright I’m not tripping. The lady who did my nails kind of rushed me after letting my acrylics set and it was annoying because another customer came in & she just told me my nails were dry and good to go but they weren’t. They were still very wet from the paint & though she I like the outcome, I do not like the way my cuticles looked. Service was alright.

Good service and very polite ladies BUT the $ 50 for $ 75 is not something they honor. The lady said she never posted it nor asked Unilocal to do that. I mentioned she might want to email them to get if taken off as I came in to use it. She didn’t seem interested. That doesn’t sound like good business to allow your customers to be mislead.

They’re okay. Good pedi but the fill I got here was regretful. I ended up going to my normal place and getting them taken off and redone. They didn’t do the shape I wanted at all, filed them in too much, left areas lifted and just didn’t look good. Hopefully they’ll get better.

They advertise that they do shellac and they do not. This is turning into a theme with salons which I strongly dislike because I want shellac and not gel (yes, they are different). But my nails desperately needed to be done and this was down the street so I figured if they didn’t actually do shellac it was better to have gel than nothing. I walked in and was able to sit down immediately; it was clean and the girl that greeted me (I can’t spell her name I’m sure, but it sounded like ga-​tee) was very pleasant.
She did a pretty good job, although she didn’t do gel quite right; didn’t seal the edge of the exposed nail and I ended up with a couple little bubbles that popped leaving tiny pinprick chips, but they’re hardly noticeable
I am still on the hunt for a nail place in the area that actually does shellac, but this is the most pleasant atmosphere I have found thus far and if the worst part is nearly invisible chips I would happily go here over any other place. And it was only $ 30 for french tip gel, which is a very good price, and they didn’t charge me for removing the previous gel polish.

So I am new this area and after lots of searching I found this place in Unilocal with mix reviews but i decided to give it a try. I have mix feelings too just like the review.
So i walk in there and the place was empty with just 1 soul in it (saturday afternoon) went there for a pedi and mani and i took my parents and they got a deluxe pedi. So the old lady that i got made me suffer this is the first time ever a pedi or mani hurt so bad, i had to reminded her to be gentle and not be so rough… She almost burned me with those hot bags they put in your feet… That was extremely hot!
But in the end i wonr denied my pedi and mani look ok.
They also charged me to removed the color. I never had that happened before, but o well.

I recently started going here… So far they are great… I went here on a week day so I had my baby with me and they were fast and helped with baby… Cant wait to try it on a weekend and to try a deluxe pedicure… I tried their regular pedicure and it was good to (better then most and not as expensuve)

I purchased a deal on here for my friend’s birthday. I took off work, planned my whole day around this only to show up and find out this business is under new management and had no idea what Unilocal was let alone the deal I purchased. I tried to figure out how to get my money refunded for this deal so I could actually give my friend a birthday gift and as of yet I am still out $ 100 and do not have my nails done. I have never used Unilocal for deals and I will be very careful to do it again. Nothing like groupon. Buyer beware!

My daughter & I came here today because we’ve been looking for a great nail salon that also does freehand design. We both had fabulous pedicures with hot stone, massage and sugar scrub. Neither of the girls rushed and took their time making sure our feet looked spectacular! I got a fill with a Seahawks design that I found on Pinterest and it turned out perfectly!
Great job ladies, we’re definitely coming back.

This place is simply amazing.
I’ve been to many little nail salons but have always had trouble with the acrylics lifting. Not here. My nails stay great-​looking which is especially impressive since I work as a barista any my hands are constantly covered in espresso and coffee grounds.
They constantly sanitize everything. They have never nicked my cuticles or anything else for that matter.
The customer service is fantastic here too. They are true professionals. I’ve seen them fit in brow waxes and pedicures for walk in customers with out compromising the service of the people already being helped.
The prices are incredibly reasonable. Adding a parafin wax to your pedicure is only $ 3. Monday through Thursday its $ 5 off pedicure, manicure and shellack. Full set of acrylics is only $ 20.
I really can not recommend this place enough. It is the best in the Seattle-​Tacoma area

I was in a rush to get a full set of acrylic nails and a spa pedi before leaving for vacation the next day, and these gals graciously squeezed me in just before closing. The gal who did my nails worked so fast but didn’t skimp on quality at all. My nails turned out great! I loved the extra flower the other gal painted on my toes too… perfect for a vacation in Vegas! I wish I could remember their new so I could recommend them. They did an amazing job and got everything done quickly without making me feel rushed. Super nice too! I’m definitely going back. :)

I’ve been on the hunt for a good nail place since I moved to Tacoma few years ago. This is the third place I’ve tried and it’s okay. It was quick, and moderately priced. I just wasn’t that impressed with it. But, it’s definitely on my list of places.

This place does the BEST pedicures! The owner is SUPER nice and very friendly! She takes GREAT care of her customers and really cares about how happy you are with your nails. The prices are good and combined with the excellent service, for me this is the best nail place in Tacoma. DEFINITELY recommend checking it out! :)
