I highly recommend this auto car repair facility to anyone. I was referred to this shop by a friend after my 2014 Dodge was having transmission problems. I have limited knowledge of cars, I was fearing the worst. Louis had «best in class» customer service, very honest and straight to the point. Louis kept me in the loop with the problems of the car and even did research on my extended warranty without any hesitation. The facility is clean and the staff friendly.

Louis is so helpful and honest. He spends time explaining things and I would trust him with all my cars and my families cars. I highly recommend them!

Ill be honest. A few years back i got my transmission put in on my 2006 ford focus with shawn and although they did a great job… his customer service skills was very weak. he was very impatient… now it brings me to a few weeks ago when i thought i needed a transmission flush on my 2006 ford focus cause my engine light came on… and i found out that aamco was bought out and that was a good thing cause louis went above and beyond to take care of me and my car… the best customer service i have ever got from anyone anywhere… aamco once again has earned my business as long as louis is the customer representative…

Louis is fantastic. He is honest, and straight to the point. I walked in stressed, by the time i left i felt lots better. If you want a great place to get your car repaired this is the place.

This place provided me and my friend horrible service. If i could i would give Zero stars. We went here to have an engine rebuilt about 1 month and a half ago, at first Shaun seemed kind and willing to help. We told him about our financial situation and seemed like he was willing to help and hold our car there until some finances were found. Well, finally 1 week passed and we were able to find the money to rebuilt the engine. I called him to give him the green light and start the rebuilding process. days passed and we drove by to check on the vehicle and it was STILL where we left it, not moved or has not been started work on, at this point we were frustrated and started to look for another place to rebuild the engine. Shaun kept assuring that they would start on it soon, but was probably prioritizing the jobs that were already paid for, who knows. I found a different place and decided to tow it there, but after inspecting the engine at the new place, they quoted me a little more for the job, so I called Shaun and wanted to see if they can still provide me the help and service I needed and work on the car and see if he would start it right away. He refused my business and told me «youre lucky we didnt charge for holding/​storage fee and just charged on the inspection.» The audacity, rudeness and unprofessionalism was unecessary especially when we told them to start the job and given the green light. A month later the new «management» called us and asked my friend to remove his Unilocal review because it was bad business for him, and threatened us with slander and said they will sue. He offered a compromise and told us he would give 3 free oil changes once my friend removed his Unilocal review. So we removed the original post, but the new manager/​owner did not keep his word. He sounded middle eastern or russian, I dont know, but states he was the new head honcho over there. Overall, THEIR bad business is what was infuriating in the whole ordeal. So we took our vehicle to another AAMCO in rancho and they helped us with no problems. DO NOT GO TO THIS AAMCO IN UPLAND!

I had been having some issues with my Ford Fusion for a while but had been putting it off because my mechanic retired. I tried a few places around Upland and they all wanted to much money and did not seem to care about my issues and my car, I was just another number.
I called Aamco because my dad said they have always been good to him. We met Nick the owner and right away his customer service skills won us over! After that when we needed a part for the car he called around looking for the best price and found one that could not be beat (believe me I called around myself at home too)! His team fixed our car and we could not be happier!
The next week our other car was having issues so we took it to Aamco and Nick even remembered our names! If I have to tell you anything it would be GO TO AAMCO IF YOUR HAVING TROUBLE WITH YOU CAR IT IS WONDERFUL!!!

Just got my car back today. Shaun is a great customer service representative for AAMCO. He explained the issue why my transmission went kaput. Turns out it would have went belly up due to the great engineering by Ford. :-(
Wow, does it shift better on my ride home!
Remember peoples, parts are only as good as the company that supplies them to Shaun. You can’t see inside a torque converter. Shaun guarantees his work and though it would be another inconvenience to me, Shaun would back his work and the work of his employees.
And another thing, Shaun was specifically recommended to me by my neighbor whose had several transmission jobs performed by this particular AAMCO. There were other AAMCOs closer to me but I went with Shaun.

I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE 0 STARS!!!
I had them rebuild my transmission around January. A week later my vehicle breaks down while I’m on the way to work. I have my vehicle towed back to Aamco to see figure out what’s going. Shaun tells me that my torque converter was faulty. Hey, I get it… sometimes the parts dealers send out a lemon every now and then. However, Shaun told me (during the initial rebuild) that his parts are higher quality than your usual Pep Boys and other similar repair shops. Nonetheless, he tells me that it’ll take 3 hours to replace the torque converter. No problem… I go home and expect to hear from him when it’s finished. Mind you this was at 8 am. It’s 1pm and I haven’t heard anything from Shaun… so I call to check on things. Hey tells me, «Hey man, it’s on the lift now… the mechanic is taking the converter out.» Taking the converter out!!! I ask why didn’t he call me to let me know of the enormous delay. He says, «Man, it’s been crazy» I then tell him, «Hey, I need my truck by the end on the day because I have to go to work.» He says, «no problem you’ll have it by 5.» 5 o’clock comes around and no phone call. I call him and he says, «Oh yeah, it’s been a little crazy. We’re taking out the converter now» I say, «hold on, you told me at 1 that you were taking it out… what happened?» He says, «Yeah man, we got busy.» WTF??? To make a one story short, he tells me that it won’t be done by the end of the day and that he has a hookup at a car rental spot nearby. I’m thinking, «why in the heck am I gonna pay for a rental when my vehicle should have been done. Granted, I had to get to work and was stuck without a choice. I get to the rental location and they’re CLOSED!!! I’m livid by this point. Now I’m stuck with no car and can’t get to work. I finally get my car THE NEXT DAY. He said my repair had a warranty, I paid, and left.
So today, I go back for him to check on a noise that sounded similar to the noise I heard before I had my transmission rebuilt. I went there ONLY because it was covered under warranty. I get there at 8am and he listens to my vehicle. Then he says that he’ll be able to look at it this afternoon. I said, cool. I dropped my vehicle off and went home. I call him at 3 to see what was going on. He says, (it must be his favorite phrase) „it’s on the lift“. I’ll know in an hr.» At 5 I call back and he says that the guy just took the belt off. I ask him why did it take 2 hours for him to take the belt off. He says, «We’ve been busy. I’ll call you back in 10 mins.» In 10 mins he calls back not knowing what the problem is… saying it could be multiple things. I say, «it took you 2 hours since being on the lift (9 hours there total) to say I don’t know what it is?!?» He starts to say why it could be various problems. I said well, I’ll just come pick my vehicle up. I ask how long it’ll take to put everything back together. He says it’ll be 10 mins. So my vehicle has been sitting around all day when It only took 10 mins to go in and asses the situation! THIS PLACE SUCKS TO HIGH HEAVEN!!! DON’T LET THEM WORK ON YOUR VEHICLE. Go to Mountain View by the Montclair Mall or anywhere else besides this place and Pep Boys! I will NEVER BRING MY VEHICLE BACK HERE!

I just had my Mazda 3 fixed here. The first place I took it couldn’t fix it because they don’t fix transmissions but they recommended AAMCO so I checked reviews and this place had great reviews. Now I know why! I had my engine light and an AT light come on. I had it towed from once mechanic to AAMCO and they were so accommodating! I couldn’t meet the tow truck there because I had no ride but they said they would start working on it to see what the problem was. They were in constant contact with me. Shawn was awesome! He told me everything he was doing and even got the computer from Mazda right away! I got my car in one day and the price was very reasonable! I seriously recommend this place! The customer service was amazing and my car runs like its brand new and it’s an ’05!

Shaun and his team are amazing. Came in at the last minute, researched and fixed my car so I could drive safely all without over charging or making me feel like I was being taken advantage of. Great place, the only place I’ll bring my repairs.

Wow, what an phenomenal experience!!! Took my car there for a transmission rebuild. I was a little nervous, since I normally deal with the dealer for repairs. However, my fears subsided when I spoke to Shawn.
He was extremely professionally and constantly kept me informed on what was going on with my car. Since, I didn’t have my car for a few days, he made the rental car process easy and painless.
Let me say that I use to take my Mercedes slk55 amg to the Mercedes dealer and thought that they gave great service. However, the service by Shawn and his staff with my Honda Odyssey far exceeds what I had ever gotten from both the Mercedes dealer and the Honda dealer. This place is top notch, and you can feel comfortable knowing that your car is in good hands. I would give 10 stars if I could!!!

I’ve taken our vehicles here for the past year and I don’t believe I’ve ever had a better experience at a mechanic than I have with Shaun at AAMCO. He and his staff are always professional and honest.
As consumers, we are always looking for an honest mechanic that won’t take advantage of you. I can assure you that if you choose these guys, you won’t have to look any further!
I’m sad to be leaving the area because it means we’ll have to find a new mechanic.

I went in thinking my motor and/​or transmission was done and Shaun had my car looked at and it only needed my transmission serviced. Great job!

One of the worst places I have been to. I should have known the five 5 star reviews on Unilocal are not good enough to speak volume about a business. I spent nearly $ 2,900 for transmission work for my Honda Odyssey just a week ago.
As soon as we got the car back, the car was shaking when idling and my wife had a concern. Also, whenever car move slowly at a stop sign and speed up around 15 mph, the car jerks up to move to the next gear while RPM goes up to 3 and then plummet to 1 after the next gear is engaged. Then a few days, check engine light came back on.
Thus, I took the car back to him. He said it was P0420 and Catalytic converter was bad. When I talk to him about low gear issue, he said it is probably because of the catalytic converter and that catalytic converter is important for performance of the car at ow speed. A day later, the check engine went off. When I talked to Mount View Tire managers who initially referred my wife to this place, they said it is definitely a transmission problem. I took the car again to Shaun and test drive with me. He said the low gear problem is not a problem at all, but it is just natural. He changed his words. One thing for sure is that Shaun has not been consistent.
Before I gave him a job, I had consulted Alonso’s Auto Repair. The owner drove the car with me and couldn’t tell me what is wrong. He check the transmission fluid color and said it was not good. Someone may not have used the right transmission fluid type. When I told Shaun about it, he discredited the mechanic by saying that transmission fluid cannot be checked because it is sealed from outside. I was ignorant and believed what he said is true. This was one reason I chose Aamco over Alonso. Now think I was tricked to believe Alonso is not honest.
Based on the inconsistency in Shaun’s remark, I feel that he is not truthful. Speaking of this, Shaun gave a quote of $ 1,800 to $ 2,800 depending on the amount of damage. When he disassembled it, the final price became the maximum amount! We drove only local for one month after the initial quote when check engine light came on. I don’t believe the parts got worn out that much. He said he had to replace the whole thing except for transmission shell. Yet he didn’t give me old parts unlike V-​Tech of Diamond Bar, so I do not know if he really replaced them.
The best price I was quoted was at Orr automotive, who gave me a flat rate of $ 1,750, but they use aftermarket parts. I regret big time now! The reason I chose Aamco of Upland was because I liked Shaun’s solution for what appears to be a common problem for Honda transmission-​overheating. He suggested that I would need a transmission cooler to solve the problem and the other two places I went to did not suggest it. Alas, it is just tough to find honest person in big metro…
On the good note, I have something to tell my 120 marketing students in fall quarter about how to choose good businesses. As a marketing professor, I don’t shop around much. I thought I decided logically on a best choice, but I now feel that my made a poor choice. I would recommend reviewers to rely on product reviews like this. Word of mouth is the best effect way when product is too complex. Both Orr automotive and Alonso had higher ratings on Unilocal.The experience of multitude is more accurate than a well-​thought-​out, solo, investigative approach.

I took my car in today May 6,2013, to get serviced.
As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the man upfront, Lee.
He asked me what problems I was having with my car and he said he would personally check himself to see what was wrong.
He went on a test drive with my car and found exactly what was wrong and gave me options to fix it.
He was very helpful and genuine in regards to my car concerns. He did not try to get me to «fix other problems my car may be having» like other auto shops normally try to do.
I went in without an appointment and it took my car only 2 hours to get worked on.
Very pleased with my service!
I will be coming back again.

what a great Family owned Aamco, Shaun is the manager here and he knows what he’s talking about and doesn’t try and make you feel pressured into doing any unnecessary repairs. I went here for a transmission oil and filter change, and got the best deal in the Inland empire, they did it in a very timely manner. my car now runs better after the oil change. Shaun even scanned my car for codes for free and we talked about some minor repairs I needed and I will be taking my car back soon to him because I know I’m in good hands. Overall a great experience at this local Aamco, very fast friendly and most important quality repairs. Give Shaun a call

Another trip back to AAMCO. Every time I go in, it is a pleasant experience. I have never had an issue with work or price. These guys have always been fair price and faster than most with return. I had a blown head gasket, had to get the sent out to be resurfaced, all spark plugs cracked, needed a new water pump, etc… They had the truck back to me within the week. Shaun is a great manager– Very friendly, and even offered to come pick me up if it was raining to bring me to the truck when it was done.
I have moved further away from this location but still keep going back. It’s tough to find honest, fair, and quality mechanical work, but this location has it all.
