History

Established in 1997.

While just under 5 feet, Mina Grasso, NP, founder and CEO of Allure in Upland has always had a tall vision to help people feel good about themselves. Mina earned her BSN at Loma Linda University in 1983 and her nurse practitioner masters degree at UCLA. After a few years of honing skills, she was chosen to be the first NP in the emergency room at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Throughout her career, she had an inspiration to help patients with facial disfigurement or scars as a result of traumatic injuries, reconstruction after cancer surgery or birth defects. Mina made her vision a reality with entry into aesthetic medicine in 1997. By 1999, Allure, providing a day-​spa resort atmosphere and became the first medical spa in the Inland Empire. Mina with her husband and medical director, John Grasso M.D., continually search for the latest most-​effective products and services to meet the needs of the patients.

Mina Grasso: RN, MSN, FNP-​C, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, received her B.S. degree in Nursing from Loma Linda University School of Nursing in 1983. She received her Master’s degree in Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program from UCLA.

Mina offers private complementary consultations to patients. Educating patients & helping them sort out which options are available for their concerns as well as discussing expectations is Mina’s priority.

Dr. John J. Grasso has provided anesthesia, lines, & monitoring for 20,000 surgical cases & many with his colleague, facial plastic surgeon Dr. Ernest Robinson. He cofounded Allure Image Enhancement, Inc. in 1997 with his wife, nurse practitioner and CEO, Mina Grasso.

On the fence about my experience because it has only been 5 days since my visit. I had Restylane Silk under the eyes but what I asked for was totally ignored. I do not see any difference and I feel like my money was wasted. I had intentions on coming back for other services in addition to referring others but currently I am not happy.

Initial review* First time getting botox. Went in for consult, very clean and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were professional and friendly. Raquel performed my procedure and explained the process very well and answered all my questions. Hardly any pain, I’d classify it as discomfort really. I’m excited to see the results!

I had a treatment done today with one of the nurses named Taran and was so happy! I’ve had plenty of Botox before but this time with Taran was so awesome. She is so informative and precise and I really appreciate her attention to detail. She’s got a very calming personality so if you’re nervous about the treatment I would recommend seeing her.

First off, everyone in the office is super nice which is a huge plus!!! So, Got my juvaderm lip fillers for the first time today with Mina. she was so gentle and she made sure i was doing okay thru the whole process. Even tho they are a bit swollen (normal) im already happy with them! Cant wait to go back!

After 18 months of paying for laser tattoo removal for my husband, he ended up with only a slightly removed tattoo and SCARRING. We finally decided to go to another place and they were able to finish removing the tattoo without further scarring, but the damage was already done at that point. Very disappointing considering how much money and time we wasted at Allure. I also scheduled a few spa service for myself which were constantly needing to be rescheduled because of errors on their part. Overall, not a place I would recommend!!!

Love this spa. Great customer service and the spa is very beautiful, clean and luxurious. They have massage chairs on the waiting room and in the retreat room with self serve hot drinks. I bough two fraxel laser procedures and artefill for my acne scars. The nurse explain the fraxel procedure, answered all my concerns and put me at ease. Mina is also very nice nurse that explain the artefill procedure. I still have one more fraxel to go. I like my results. I will definitely keep going and try their facials as well.

Buyer beware: Unless they’ve changed their policy in the last few years (because it’s been that long since they got any of my business), Allure puts expiration dates on treatment packages. For example, if you purchase a package of 10 facials and only use 5 within 12 months, they won’t honor the rest of the package and won’t do the other 5 facials. Also if you decide THAT particular facial isn’t working out for you and you ask for them to apply the remaining credit on your treatment package for another type of treatment instead, they will refuse. For example, let’s say you purchased a package of acid peels and you decide they aren’t giving you the results you were hoping for (or the results Allure told you you’d get). I’ve asked Allure to apply the credit to another service instead and they refused.
The staff at Allure wasn’t always very friendly. Some of them acted more like they were doing my a huge favor, rather than I was doing THEM a favor by giving them my money.
As I said, Allure lost my business a long time ago.

I absolutely love allure, I came hair for some chin hair removal and was serviced by RN Tiffanny.W. She is amazing! I was very nervous because it was my first time and I had read some scary stuff online about laser hair removal. Tiffanny was very patient with me, she walked me through the process and explained what to expect prior to getting my treatment and during the treatment she would take her time and would go at my pace (honestly it wasn’t as painful). She is very professional and I highly! recommend her to anyone who wants service here at allure.

Let me just start by saying WOW!! This place is so amazing. You walk in to a very beautiful and relaxing atmosphere with lovely smiles from the staff. I had my first time Botox treatment, which I was a lil nervous about. Registered nurse Tiffany Wilmot did my treatment and was more than amazing. She talked to me before the treatment answering any questions I had and during. She guided me through and put me at ease. I didn’t feel a thing. She was amazing. I will definitely be returning here in the near future and found the perfect person to take care of my needs.
