I have a unique vision issue as I recently had cataract surgery. The issue is that one eye is near sighted while the repaired eye is ²⁰⁄₂₀.
I’ve met with other optometrists but I just didn’t feel comfortable with them helping me with this challenge.
Dr. Simonis not only understood my situation but recommended a solution where one pair of glasses will handle all of my needs from driving to reading and from indoors to outdoors.
She is ultra professional with state of the art equipment. I also really like her friendly staff.
I completely recommend Dr Simonis especially if you have eye issues like I do.

I have been going to Dr. Simonis for about 7 years. Dr. Simonis and her entire staff are very professional and friendly, the atmosphere is very comfortable and welcoming. They have a great selection to choose from and they back they products they sell.

Our family loves Felicia!!! The staff is friendly, polite and very professional. Felicia is very knowledgeable and really cares for her patients. She is always careful to explain what she is doing and why she is doing it. In addition, she is just someone that makes you feel comfortable and at ease, which is good for me because I have always been sensitive when it comes to my eyes since I have had issues with them since I was a kid.

Have been seeing Dr. Simonis going on 14 years. Always thorough, professional,
honest and caring. Dr. Simonis always has the time to answer my many questions as
well. The office staff is very helpful with arranging appointments as well as being
cheerful and upbeat– great crew!

The whole staff are awesome, always friendly, helpful and have a good sense of humor — I only go there once a year but they never disappoint me!

I moved into the area a year ago and hadn’t had an eye exam in years. I looked through all the reviews on Unilocal looking for a new optometrist and settled on Dr. Simonis’ office. Having 20+ years of wearing some sort of vision correction, Dr. Simonis is by far the best doctor I have ever visited.
After my initial eye exam with Dr. Simonis, she recommended Lasik surgery for me. I was hesitant, but after wearing contact lenses for so long, I figured what the heck. She knows her stuff and there was no pressure to continue with Lasik if I wasn’t comfortable. Between Pre-​op and Post-​op follow ups, I have been back to see her pretty close to 10 times, and the service is amazing. Dr. Simonis is very friendly and really takes the time to connect with her patients. If you’re looking for a new optometrist or looking for you first optometrist, pick up the phone and make your appointment now; you will not regret it.

Unorganized and unprofessional. Came in to bring my 6 year old son for his scheduled appt. Yet when I called in a week prior to confirm nobody bothered to mention they would no longer accept my insurance and attempted to say I didn’t call in. Unaware that they wanted to charge me cash for the appt. I asked if I could pay when I picked up the glasses they said I would have to put 80% down to be seen today. Doesn’t help much since as I mentioned before I was not aware of the price they would charge. Purposely trying to scam or unorganized, time to find a new dr. Office who has it together and is a little more professional.

I just bought a awesome pair of glasses. I made these the Cadillac version, they were a progressive lens, photo gray (to turn into sunglasses), clearcoat, superthin lens, you get the idea these were not cheap glasses. Well less than a week after owning these magnificent glasses I had a terrible fall and totally ruined one lens and part of the frame. I was so upset because I had saved to be able to buy these glasses and now they were ruined. I went into the office with my black eye carrying my glasses, because at this point they weren’t even wearable. I explained what happened to Sandra she took one look at me and one look at the glasses and asked me «if I was ok“and then said „don’t worry I will take care of your glasses“» I know sometimes it’s tempting to buy your glasses at a big chain but there’s no replacement for great customer service. Thanks Sandra can’t wait to get my glasses back. :)

I’m came in for a full eye exam and consultation yesterday. The office itself is a lovely gem right there in old town Upland, near the little gazebo at the roundabout. The staff greeted me immediately, checked me in and sprung into action as if I were the only patient in the office. The front lobby is immaculate and very welcoming. I could have spent the afternoon lounging on the leather sofa, sipping on tea (or a nice lil espresso — hint, hint! ;-))
A nice soft-​spoken young man named Rich greeted me and led me back into one of the many rooms along the stately corridor, where I underwent a series of eye measurements, photos, and visual tests on some ultra-​modern machines of which I’ll probably never be able to pronounce the names. One of the really cool tests was on a big yellow and white contraption with the name «Daytona» on it. Funnily enough, it’s design reminded me of a race car. It is like playing a video game in some respect: you hold onto handles on either side and peek into this round silicone sleeve, then FLASH, big green light! Then you do it again, with the other eye. What the machine does is take a multi-​layered scan of your eyeball: first the cornea, then all the way to your optic nerve. I wish I understood more about the technology, but it was the ultimate experience to see the tiny little portal through which I take in the world around me.
After the tests, I was taken into an exam room with the crazy articulated arm with the lenses that tell the doctor how bad your eyesight is, no getting past that! That is why I was there, after all. Ready for my vision exam and consult with Dr. Simonis, she walked and greeted with a big smile and we went through a very thorough test of my visual landscape. I appreciated the doctor’s exactitude and multi-​tasking abilities as she meticulously got me through the various lens settings all while talking about a wide range of subjects, not just stale doctor stuff. One thing I noted was that her tone of voice was soothing and almost reassuring as we went through the various phases of the exam. I felt like I was there with a human, and not a super-​intelligent robot. Those of you who have run the gamut of Optometrists and other persons in the medical field will get what I’m saying here.
Bottom line, it was a five star experience. If you are due for a check up, I would check this place out. I’m hoping they’ll have the espresso machine installed by my next exam! :-)

Came in yesterday for an eye exam as a first time patient. I called to let the office know I would be about 5 – 10 minutes late and they didn’t make a big deal of it. Receptionist had NO ATTITUDE as I usually experience with other offices. Her name was Angelina I believe, very friendly! The whole process was easy and very organized. Dr. Simonis was great and explained everything. Also very knowledgeable.
Ended up needing glasses and the lady that helped me out was helpful and didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need.

I used to go to Dr. Simonis and was always satisfied with the service I received. But when I lost my glasses while on travel and called the office for help, the staff member I spoke with was not only rude but said that Dr. Simonis would definitely not call me back. Definitely not. I hope that this is not reflective of outstanding service declining due to poor staffing.

The staff is so friendly and they take care of everything. Plus they even send text reminders of ur appointments.

They do everything here to accommodate you. The doctor takes her time to get her prescriptions accurate. I’ve had a couple friends who have tricky prescriptions say that she is the best in the area. As for myself, I had an easy prescription, but it has still be done wrong before at a different optometrist. I had my prescription filled elsewhere due to time constraints, but it came out perfect and the rates were better than what I paid to get lenses put in so next time I will go through here. I recommend to everyone who needs their vision checked.

The best service! All team members are friendly. The facility is clean and inviting. Dr. Simonis is efficient, beautiful, and warm. So happy I was referred to her and I highly recommend to you!

After years of visiting many optical centers at local Costcos and Walmarts, I finally got tired of the high turnover (seeing a different doc every year), and often times unprofessional conduct by office staff. So I set out on a mission to find a reliable eye doctor in my local community, and found the wonderful Dr. Simonis! Dr. Simonis and her staff provide thorough vision testing in a pleasant and professional environment. They also have a wide variety of eyeglasses and sunglasses. Prices are very reasonable. And more recently, the office has been offering complimentary hearing testing. I am so pleased with the care I have received at Dr. Simonis’ office. My days of vision exams and optical shopping at the giant retailers are over!
