We started our window project with JR Window in early May. We had ten Milgard windows installed, along with a new sliding patio door. I was happy with the initial install and services that Jeff and his team provided. One window wasn’t able to be installed because they said they didn’t have the right size ordered, and a second bedroom window got installed but they told us they’d have to come back because there was a scratch on it. I appreciated their honesty in telling us about the scratch. The owner, Jeff called after the installers were done that day and set up a second appointment for them to complete the two remaining windows. They came a few weeks later, and installed the first bedroom window, but said the scratched one that was supposed to be replaced was scratched again, so they’d have to come back a third time. I waited over two weeks and hadn’t heard anything from them on when they’d come back. I called their office and the receptionist said she had me on the list to call me soon, that they were very busy. We set the date for the 3^rd appointment on June 20^th at 3 pm. That day, I received a phone call at 1:30 pm saying they wouldn’t be able to make it that day, and wanted to know if we could reschedule again. My husband had left work early to ensure he’d be home in time to let them in, but we were only given 1.5 hours notice that they cancelled (on the day of). So we scheduled to have them come back for the fourth time on ⁶⁄₂₈ between 3 – 4 pm. Nobody had shown up by 4:30 pm so we called and the receptionist said she was sorry but she couldn’t get ahold of the installers and the office closed at 5 pm. At 4:50, she called us back and said she was able to get ahold of the installers and said they’d be there in 20 minutes. They didn’t show up until 6 pm. We are glad that the project is finally completed, almost 2 months later, and 4 visits to come out to install (not counting the 2 times they came out for the estimate/​bids).
I emailed the owner almost a week ago and never heard back from him. I was pleased with the service on the first day, but overall very disappointed that we had to have 4 appointments to finish our window installation. I wish I could give 5 stars to this company, because they did a good job at the beginning but there’s definitely a lack of communication, and customer service.

We recently had windows installed and doors installed by jr doors and windows. the owner jeff came to our house with samples and explained the whole process to us. he was very friendly and professional.3 weeks later the installers came, mike and will, they were also very nice. they did a wonderful job of installing and answering all our questions .we are very happy with the service and professionalism of this company and i would recommend them to anyone. we had gotten 3 other estimates and jr door had the best price and warranty. Thank you jr door for a great experience.

Just had two bedroom windows replaced that were special order due to size and tempered glass requirements. They were put in quickly and cleanly. Very happy with product and service. Delivery was on time and area cleaned up inside and outside. Thanks Steve for great service.

We got a quote a few years back, and finally got to hire them to replace 25+ windows and doors. Their installers are professional and I love that it’s a family business. I felt that we mattered throughout the entire process! I would highly recommend them to any family or friend.

JR Doors installed all my windows and doors in my condo and I would recommend them to anyone. John and Raphael installed the second set of French doors in our dining room and they were prompt, friendly and professional. They both answered all of our questions and took time explaining how the doors worked and the type of insulation that Is unique to these doors.

Jeff Roberts is one honest business person. I truly appreciate that. John G. and Jared were the best of the crew. I had this company replace all my french doors and windows. Even though there were some things that went wrong, Jeff made good on everything. I have learned being in my industry of customer service that things go wrong and sometimes it’s beyond your control. Make sure to ask for John G. and Jared when having your windows installed by this company. They did an amazing job and were punctual, kind, and courteous. I am very pleased with my windows and doors and Oh they look so pretty! I never thought I would be so excited to have new doors and windows!

I replaced 7 windows and a slider with MIlgard products. JR Door and Window were endorsed by Milgard and Jeff Roberts impressed us with his knowledge and his incentives for his installers to do a great job. The installers lived up to his expectations and the team leader John Grindal was impressive with not only the speed of the installation but attention to detail. He and his crew took care to avoid disruption or impact on the paint job we just had done and the new windows and slider look great. We had experienced a partially botched job by a non-​Milgard contractor years before so we were relieved to see John’s commitment to make the install work so well.

Estimator came twice to make sure all windows were measured correctly. Installers came when scheduled, were finished quickly and even took off their shoes inside my home (white carpet). One outside window frame arrived scratched (from Milgard) and a Milgard rep came two weeks later to touch up the coloring on the vinyl window and gave us some more paint if we would need it. Steve followed up to make sure all was taken care of. Good customer service and excellent pricing.

I really would like to give this company 5 star rating, but unfortunately I can’t. We wanted to replace our old sliding glass door with a nice Milgard. I received quotes from two local installers, DP Door and JR Door & Window. I decided to go with JR, since they are in the same city as me. The guy that did the install was very nice and seemed to know what he was doing, so I didn’t watch every step of his install. It took over three hours anyway. After he left, I walked outside to look at his work. He used what appeared to be very old clear caulking around the door frame. The stuff was so old, it looked yellow. This yellow color intensified as it cured and looked horrible. I called the company and they sent out a different installer. He agreed that it looked bad, but offered no clue as to what went wrong. He went over the yellow stuff with white caulking, but had to put on a very wide bead of it to cover the yellow stuff, leaving an abnormally large bead. Several weeks later, and the yellow is starting to come through the white. The only way to fix it at this point is to paint over it. This will prove difficult since we recently moved in and do not have any of the original house paint. To make amends, JR sent me a whopping $ 50 gift certificate, good towards any additional $ 1000 spent with at their company. Seriously? You botch my $ 2000 slider install and you offer $ 50 if I give you more of my business?
UPDATE:
Two years later, the screen door that JR installed was recently damaged and became unusable. I went to their showroom to inquire about ordering a replacement. Ashley, the girl behind the counter took down my information and said she would call me with a quote. That never happened. Four weeks later, three unanswered phone calls and one unanswered email, and I am no closer to a quote than I was a month ago. Apparently business is so good they just don’t care. I dropped their rating from two stars to one.

Tried emailing them and contacting them through their website for a quote on some french doors and sliding doors, but no one answered any of my emails.
I guess they don’t want my business and I definitely don’t have the time to wait … time is money!
Also noticed Unilocal automatically filtered out 3 reviews that were 5 stars (2 from the same guy) … those reviews are probably from family members.
oh well … on to the next!

We had a security door and security porch enclosure done by JR Door. Excellent job! Danny and Jerry were fantastic. They took their time, you could tell that Danny is a perfectionist… just the type of person you want doing this kind of work! I highly recommend them.

Jeff Roberts has installed numerous doors and windows in my house. I haven’t had every window replaced, but that is only because I am installing Fibreglas windows and doors which are very pricey compared to vinyl and aluminum. He sells Milgard in addition to other manufacturers, but the Milgard is the best product I have ever seen and I am happy he is a supplier of theirs. He employs his own installers and they have worked for him for a very long time. The same guys come to my house each time I have something installed and they are very careful, friendly and professional. I cannot recommend them more highly and look forward to finishing the rest of my window installations soon.

It’s been years since I used them. They did one job and the installer was awesome. The next job they did for me a young guy and his girlfriend botched the job. I had to fix it myself.
The original job was first class. The second job was terrible. Hopefully the young couple no longer work there
