Smile Studio was founded over 40 years ago and was actually one of the first dental offices in Upland. We provide the latest in family dental care with advances in preventative and minimally invasive dentistry. Our goal is to comfortably obtain optimum balance and harmony in the mouth and throughout the body. We use the latest technology, such as the Biolase dental laser and the Periolase laser, to enhance the dental experience to make it as enjoyable as possible. We also provide our patients with Cerec Omnicam same day crowns, onlays, and inlays, as well as the latest in digital x-​rays. When cosmetic dentistry is your desire, we offer the highest custom esthetics with our experienced in-​office lab technician (CDT Certified).

In addition to Dr. Phil Ra, our cosmetic and general dentist, we also have our pediatric dental specialist, Dr. Berry Khuu, on staff to provide specialized services to toddlers and kids, making our office a true family dental practice. We are located in the «historic» dolphin building off 9^th and Mountain Ave. Our team looks forward to a long and healthy partnership with you, your family, and friends.

History

Established in 1994.

The SmileStudio has been in it’s current location in the «famous» dolphin building in Upland since 1994. This office was one of the first dental practices established in Upland, serving the community for over 40 years. In 2015, Dr. Phil Ra took over the practice to continue the legacy of serving Upland and it’s surrounding communities.

Business Owner

Dr Phil J. Ra was raised in Southern California and currently takes pride in practicing the art and science of dentistry in the city of Upland and surrounding cities. His childhood goal of becoming a dentist became a reality when he was accepted into the prestigious six-​year Accelerated Dental Acceptance Program Tract at USC right out of high school to become one of the youngest doctors to graduate with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in the history of USC in 2000. Dr Ra is a Fellow of the AGD and a Fellow of the ICOI, and an associate Fellow in the World Clinical Laser Institute. He is one of the very few in the country to be dual certified to use the Periolase laser and the Biolase laser. Dr. Ra also had the honor of being chosen as Inland Empire’s favorite dentist for 7 years straight by the Inland Empire Magazine. Currently, he is involved in numerous study clubs in order to maintain the latest knowledge in cutting edge dentistry.
