Steve’s Professional Glass Tinting & Auto Security

I contacted Steve for a quote to do residential windows. I texted the measurements for the windows (my «must have» list and my «wish list» of windows that I would like to have done as I had no idea of what the pricing would be so). Steve sent the quote later that day, the pricing appeared reasonable and we set the date for the tinting for both my must have and wish list windows. I did tell Steve I might add a few more windows after I saw the installation. The installer arrived on time and started work promptly. After the first 2 windows I really liked how much the glare was reduced so I contacted Steve and provided the size of a few additional windows to be tinted. I received the new quote promptly and agreed to add them to the scope of work. In total, I ended up having 1 slide, 2 doors with glass inserts and 15 windows tinted.
The installer was very professional and cleaned up as he went along. When he was done, everything was spotless. And most important, I am thrilled with the window tinting. The reduction in heat through the windows and doors is incredible and I can already tell it will help significantly during the summer. But the reduction in glare is unbelievable as well. It really helps while watching TV. Love the tinting and love the professionalism of Steve and his installer.

We had five windows in our home tinted and his worker did a great job. He was fast, courteous, and paid attention to detail. The samples they sent us ahead of time were very helpful in choosing the right tint shade. The rooms now are not as hot as they used to be. We are very happy with the results.

Just picked up a new car and headed into Steve’s to see if they could fit me in for tint. I have brought a few cars here and have referred family and friends to see Steve and his crew. The level of professionalism and quality done here is superb! Manny was awesome and was able to fit me in without an appointment. Manny had me in and out in an hour and a half and did a stellar job! I highly recommend this shop! Steve and his crew use top of the line film, use a precision machine that cuts the design of your windows, and attention to detail is paramount!

Great customer service. I called and spoke with Steve. Made an appointment for the same morning I called. Steve said he would show me all the different tint colors and quality and the job would take about an hour to complete. I chose the color and quality I wanted and was out of his shop within 45min. Tint is perfect and guaranteed for life. Friendly and very professional. Recommend this place to anyone needing tint or auto security work

It came up to the tinting place. All the doors were closed at 8 a.m. I walk around the building and I know it’s a sign that says for appointments only.
I call Steve for an appointment and they told me this lame ass excuse. Awaiting a building today so we won’t be able to be there. Shaking my head extremely slowly!

Very Professional. I had him in my home and what a great job. Everything was done the way we thought it should be. You wouldn’t even know that he had been here when it was time for him to leave. I would have him in again if needed. There are so many companies that you need to do research on, and you can bet he will give you the service you want! Thanks Steve!

I have been Coming here for 20+ years. I’ve had every one of my cars tinted with Steve. There is NO comparison to other shops for quality and customer service.
You might pay less elsewhere… But this is an investment in your vehicle. Why would you cheap out and get inferior results?
I have never had a problem with my tint in all the years and all the cars. I believe if I did that Steve would stand behind his product and workmanship.

Just went here this past weekend (Feb 28) and were in and out in 30 mins. I wanted to go to a reputable shop and this shop popped up. It was a little more than I expected but you pay for what you get. We’ll see how it holds up.

I had an appointment at 9 am and was out of the shop at 10:30 with all the the work perfectly done by Steve!

This review is primarily on the price of the tint. $ 550 for tint on a small compact vehicle is ridiculous. The quote of $ 550 was much higher than my $ 375 quote when I bought my tint from them 5 years ago. $ 175 increase?
The technician that assisted me explained the product and was thorough, but his sales pitch did not work well with me. He tried to use the product name as his selling point. I just couldn’t fathom $ 550 for window tint on a small car.
I don’t know any business that would let a serious consumer walk out from a store, but I guess business is that good to let someone leave. You can purchase quality for half the price elsewhere. I even called the Lexus dealership to get a quote and it was much lower than his price. Tint shops are a dime a dozen. If you want to get charged an arm and a leg please feel free. I would continue searching.
Side note:
I purchased my tint from Tint Factory in Loma Linda. Quality is equivalent and customer service was much better.

I’ve been dealing with Steve for at least 19yrs now and have never been disappointed. Steve’s quality, whether tinting windows or installing alarms, has always been extremely consistent. I was having a sound system installed in one of my cars and had the installer ask me if I had my alarm installed at Steve’s. I asked him why he asked and he said he could tell by the neatness and care of placement of the wiring under the dash. VERY IMPRESSIVE. I have had six cars tinted and alarms installed at Steve’s. I would never recommend anywhere else.

Very professional and informative. The work was done with precision and extreme care.
The 15% tints were fantastic. I had my tints installed on October of last year and there has been no bubbling, peeling, etc. I got the classic tint and the only regret is not getting the pinnacle tint. If I ever purchased another car, pinnacle tint will be my first choice.

5−29−14 I just wanted to update my review to add that today Steve removed old film (15 years) and replaced it with new darker film at the business where I work. Two of the windows are South facing 68“x68″ and the other two are West facing 72×68. The area in question is on the Southwest corner of our building and serves as a break room. We have been having trouble keeping the room cool on days when the outside temperature rises above 85 degrees. Steve and his helper arrived at 7am sharp like he said they would. The work was done as promised at the price quoted. When they left the area was clean and any relocated furniture was returned to it’s original position. I’m pleased with the service provided and the finished product.

I don’t know about you but when I buy a new car I’m so nervous about getting my first scratch I’m afraid to get it washed let alone trust someone to tint my windows or install a new security system. But that is exactly what I’ve done for the last 20+ years with Steve’s Professional Glass Tinting & Auto Security.
1990 Toyota truck, 1992 and 2002 Astro Van, 1995 Chevy Silverado, 06 Ford Mustang, 07 Chevy Aveo, 07 Tahoe LTZ and 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium are all the new cars I have purchased since 1990 and Steve did my window tinting on all of them and security system on a few. In addition to these cars I have also taken at least 4 cars belonging to family to Steve for window tinting. In addition to window tinting most recently Steve applied some paint protection film to the front of my 14 Fusion. All of these cars I had for a minimum 5 years some as long as 11 years. I never had an issue with the tint peeling or bubbling. The security system installed on my Daughters car had an issue with one of her remotes about 6 months after the installation and Steve fixed it without hesitation or question. The 06 mustang and 07 Aveo we still own and the tint looks as good as it did on day 1. I have always viewed Steve as an honest professional businessman who I can recommend without hesitation. Believe it or not we are not related and I was not paid for this review. This is a review that Steve earned the old fashion way. He earned it with good honest business ethics.

I’ve had two cars tinted at this shop and both came out excellent. The job is very well done and if you have an appointment, your wait time will not be long. The store representative was honest with me when I told him that I wanted the best heat rejection tint at a good price without being so dark. He recommended the Pinnacle Series from Formula One.
I ordered the ceramic tint at 40% for both cars and it has been three years since installation. No problem, no warping and backed by Steve. The price was reasonable at $ 400 and definitely worth it. Although I live in NoHo, I made the drive to Upland just for this service.
I highly recommend this place.

Been coming here since 2001. Brought a total of ten cars since then to have the windows tinted. Back then I used to walk in, and out in an hour. Now you gotta make an appointment. Goes to show how busy this place is getting.
The prices are reasonable, staff is knowledgable, products are of good quality, and the workmanship is excellent.

After about 30 days of research on different types of ceramic/​nano-​ceramic tint, heat rejection percentages, pros and cons of each brand of tint and their nuances, I emailed about a dozen auto tint installers to get price quotes and to gain an overall feel of who is truly a professional at their craft. I received several responses and quotes ranging from $ 500 — $ 900 for full vehicle tinting (windshield, front 2 windows, rear 2 windows, and hatch – with two smaller adjacent windows). Steve won my business hands down.
I emailed Steve to get a quote and to schedule an appointment for 2 cars to get fully tinted: my Lexus CT200h and my friend’s Audi S5. I chose Steve since he seemed the most personable, knowledgeable and passionate about his work. His quote was extremely reasonable for all of the labor involved. Steve quickly responded to my email and was very thorough when answering my questions, and was very clear in outlining what to expect. Extremely nice guy.
When we got to the tint shop, Manny and Steve greeted us. Manny is who tinted both of our cars, and before finally deciding on what shade of tint, held them up to the cars so we could picture the shade and hue. Manny was very forthcoming about how to take care of the film, what to expect regarding law enforcement and legality, warranty and workmanship, etc.
I ended up choosing 50% on the windshield, and 35% on all the other windows to contrast my white car. My friend went with 50% throughout, which ended up looking fantastic on his S5.
Manny gave us a time estimate and told us that we’d receive a phone call about 30 minutes before he was finished. We were encouraged not to pay until the work was done. Upon returning, I was floored by how great the tint looked. The tint was laser cut so there were no gaps as far as I could tell, and the dot-​matrix ended up looking so good that I could not find where the edge of the tint was. My friend and I were quite pleased and have been enjoying the benefits of our heat-​rejecting and UV protecting tint for over 6 months now.

It is quite evident why this place has been around for several years.
I was a walk in at 8 am, Steve communicated effectively my different options on tint. Never pushed a more expensive product.
I’m leasing my vehicle and chose to go with the Classic versus the Pinnacle.
The look is same the only difference is that the Pinnacle tint keeps the heat away much better. As far as the UV protection both offer the same protection, which was my main reason for getting the windows tinted.
The car was ready as promised and since they are located in the Pacific Car Wash center a basic wash was available for $ 10.99 extra.
Loved the look and feel when I picked up my car! Interior was clean and cool.
