Found Joe after seeing a custom black gold engagement ring someone I knew had… I loved the black gold and had to have it. Came here to have my engagement ring polished and dipped in black rhodium. My engagement ring was previously a silver rhodium white gold ring. I wanted something different without having to change my prior ring drastically. Joe the jeweler did a fantastic job and I love the new fresh look of my black gold engagement ring. Turn around time was very good and I was very pleased. A prior jeweler took twice as long just for a silver rhodium polish. Will definitely be back if I have any other jewelery related needs… I will come here first from now on.

This review is for the 3^rd booth on the left, Prestige Jewlery, owned by Robert and Linai. Linai was recommended by my sister and her mother in law. The engagement ring my boyfriend and I really wanted was a Robbins Brothers exclusive ring. We actually bought the ring from them, but went in afterwards since she is right across the street to ask her if she thought we got a good deal –big mistake #1. She told us that it wasn’t a good deal (lie #1), and that she custom makes Jewlery herself (lie #2) and she could make the RB ring with «only 5% difference» (lie #3). She lured us in on the fact that she would give us bigger/​better diamonds, use 14k gold vs 10k, bands would be solid and not hallow, plus have it done within 2 weeks instead of 5 – 6 as quoted by RB’s, AND save us $ 600. We though it was a good deal, and believing she was a trustworthy person because she came so highly recommended and claims to be a religious person on her business card, so we took the bait. We easily cancelled our order with RB the next day. We had to put $ 500 down before she’d start making the ring, and owe the remaining $ 2,092 when we picked it up. We texted her photos of the ring at RB and the link from the website describing the ring and showing better photos. The ring she made us turned out nothing like the RB one. No way was this ring only 5% different, more like 95% different, it was plain hideous what she made. The gaps and swirling were completely different from the RB one, the center stone setting was completely changed, the metal was bigger and hollow, it was NOT solid under the top design part, the size of the ring ended up being over twice the size as the one from RB… it was completely wrong! She said it would look better on person, so we went down to look at it and I was even more disgusted at the differences –i told her I didn’t like or want that because it was too different. She said of course it different, she can’t get exact because she doesn’t have the same mold that RB uses and that she can only get within 30−40% difference. That is not what she originally said to get us to buy! She told us no refunds, and that my only option was to select something else in exchange. I wanted to cry! Not wanting to throw away $ 500, my boyfriend and I picked out a halo ring, and paid the balance. I’d hoped I would have been happy with it, but fact is, I didn’t get what originally purchased: the RB ring with only 5% difference from her that she said she could make. When she had the ring resized, it ended up being warped on one side and the metal was stretched really thin (because she’s not able to add metal, as we later found out). To top it all off, she told us she and her husband do all the work, truth is she doesn’t (lie#?, I’ve lost count), she contracts out (which we found out after the fact). Linai is a liar, she didn’t deliever on her promises. I’m currently disputing this with my credit card company so I can return the ring and get my money back. This whole situation has been a nightmare! Do not buy from this woman. On both days I was there, past customers (total of 2 people) of hers came in complaining that their diamonds fell out of their jewelry, and she was charging the to replace them! What a con lady! I bet she does it on purpose!

I bring my watch in to get resized as it’s brand new and the couple of jewelers I’ve taken it to have had issues trying to remove links from it, so I’m willing to give this place a shot. I walk in and it feels like a freaking black market… poorly dressed workers behind counters on either side of the room and an armed guard pacing the floor. No greeting whatsoever from any of the workers until I approach one and ask if they do watch resizing. I get gestured to the back of the store, having to pass «colorful» display as I go and having the guard eyeing me like I’m some young guy that has no right to be in a jewelry store in the first place.
I finally get to the watch guy who is like 70+ years old with a monocle on and clipping his finger nails (one of the slivers actually landed on the counter…) I asked if he could resize my watch and how much it would be and IMMEDIATELY he just grunts «depends». I cautiously hand over my watch against my better judgement and he starts pulling out tools before anything else. I had to stop and ask, again, how much it would be and if he even accepted debit or credit cards. He brusquely tells me «$ 8 cash only «and when I tell him I don’t carry cash he just goes «how much do you have then?». I AGAIN have to tell him I don’t have any cash, only card, and he just hands my watch back and resumes clipping his nails. Even when I asked if he knew of another jeweler that could do it for card he just blatantly ignored me (which didn’t surprise me by this point).
Long story short I got it resized at Sears with the watch guy who helped replace my battery from my old watch a couple months back. Cost $ 2 more but he was much nicer and was surprised when I told him about my horrible encounter here. Was well worth the extra expense to deal with a cleaner, nicer, and more reputable worker!!!
