Flatpack Furniture Delivery and Assembly

Had an amazing experience with Flatpack — very professional and reasonable. They were easy to book and look forward to working with them again when the need arises.

Great experience with Flatpack, helping us to assemble ikea furniture. Quote came fast and very reasonable. They scheduled tha assembler around our schedules, on a weekend. And our assembler was fantastic. We would definitely call on Flatpack again for a variety of needs.

Fantastic! I had a problem, and they were miracle workers! I live in NY, and had built a closet around a specific large Ikea dresser, only to find it wasn’t available anywhere but Baltimore. The difficulty was even greater because I *had* to have it by New Year’s Day, which was only two days away. I contacted Flatpack to see if they could help, and… Marc said they could! The price didn’t seem cheap at first, but when I thought about it I realized that it was *really* reasonable, given that they had to go to Ikea, buy the dresser (which meant selecting lots of boxes and making sure everything was in the box and undamaged), assemble it, replace any damaged parts (if there were any), pack it so it would be undamaged, and drive it all the way from Baltimore to NY.
I have to admit I was skeptical, and nervous since he asked me to pay everything upfront, and I was aware of how much could go wrong. Well, Flatpack surmounted every difficulty. It turned out, for instance, that unexpectedly they had to go to two different Ikeas to get different parts. By the time they did this, the only day left on which I could receive it was New Year’s Day. Finally, I hadn’t realized that they were assembling it beforehand (which I now see they had to do to make sure everything was there), and when they arrived, they had to partly disassemble it to get it in the closet and then reassemble it. I could imagine another company demanding that I pay extra because of these difficulties, but there were no extra charges. The delivery /​assembly people were *fantastic*: *incredibly* nice, not at all fazed by the need to disassemble /​reassemble, and cheerfully adjusted drawers and leveling feet to make sure everything was perfect! I am *so* appreciative. Crazy as it might be, if I ever have to move within NYC, I might actually ask them to come up and do the move for me!

Amazing! I found myself in a bit of a jam when I took off work to have some furniture assembled only to receive an email that morning from
saying that not only were they not able to come that day, they were also booked for the entire weekend. Of course at this point, I’m not too happy, but thankfully I called the number provided here and was able to speak to Trey.
He was very professional and understanding. Upon hearing my dilemma and learning of my close proximity to a job they were currently working, he and the other staff at Flatpack made sure I was able to get service that day. I’m so glad I called them and trust me, I know exactly who to call next time. It’s all about the reliability, professionalism, and quality service provided that make all the difference. All the way around, from Trey and the other gentleman who assembled my furniture, to the manager and young woman who called to discuss the details of this process, everyone was very personable.

This service was AMAZING! We rented an unfurnished apartment and needed to have our ikea furniture arrive the day we arrived (so we would have a place to sleep!) Flatpack took care of EVERYTHING. We sent them the extensive list of furniture to be purchased, delivered, and assembled. We arranged for the landlord to let them in early that morning, and by the time I arrived at around 2 in the afternoon, it was almost done! They were SUPER helpful and wonderful – such a nice way to arrive in a new city! When they left, it looked like we had rented a furnished apartment – no boxes or mess, just assembled, organized furniture! I am so grateful we found them!!! Thanks Flatpack!!!

Setting up the appointment was a little bit of a run around. I couldn’t get an exact quote or appointment over the phone. However, Flatpack was very flexible once I did get an appointment scheduled, and Tre was great. He took his time, consulted with us patiently, and installed the closet system just the way we needed it. I definitely recommend Flatpack and will be using them again.

I was able to contact Trae over the phone and continue over text as he gave me instructions to email Marc to get a quote and schedule. Marc gave me a reasonable quote compared to other companies I contacted as well as what IKEA would charge.
Met Trae and his co-​worker at IKEA and they packed my items onto the truck. They were very professional — had all the tools needed, portable workstations, I was impressed.
Left them to build the stuff from IKEA (bed, some dressers, office table and drawer), ~4 hours later everything was built. I’d recommend Flatpack and I’ll probably use their services again when needed.

Found Flatpack on Unilocal.I needed my queen bed and table assembled. They were able to come out the very next day. I’ve used other companies before and I must say I’m disappointed in myself that I didn’t use Flatpack from the beginning. Not only do they do a great job at assembling furniture but they do a quality check AND TAKE THE EMPTY BOXES TO THE TRASH for you. I’m pleased and won’t hesitate to call them again in the future.

I found Flatpack through the web —-we had 5 pieces of furniture that needed to be picked up from IKEA. They picked up, assembled, and delivered all of it flawlessly! Great communication… Great attention to detail. A real pleasure to work with.

The true measure of a company is how well they stand behind their work. As you can see there are a lot of five star reviews here. They are great… as long as nothing goes wrong. If it does… they will not rectify the problem. They will ignore you as if you were never a customer. The only thing I can say to those reading this review… sure you can take a chance. You may receive good service… but you better hope nothing goes wrong… or you are on your own. So proceed at your own risk. I hope you do not have to incur the damages that I have. The only recourse I had available to me was to leave this review and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau so that others may avoid having this happen to them.
If you have time to read the remainder of this review, I have provided the background on my dealings with Flatpack Furniture Delivery and Assembly. I have also included photos of the damages.
I had used them twice in the past and even recommended their services to friends and left an earlier positive review on Unilocal.Well, I can say the third time was definitely not the charm! I hired them to move a treadmill and other furniture from the basement to an upstairs bedroom. I had just installed wood flooring in the basement. To my dismay, the proper precautions were not taken by the staff and my hardwood floors ended up deeply scratched, dents were left in my walls, and wood dislodged from my bedroom doorframe.
I contacted Marc the manager, emailed the photos of the damage, and was informed he would look into it. He responded back that he would correct the problem and replace the hardwood planks which had been damaged. Marc stated he was having a hard time finding the planks. I had sent Marc all the information on the flooring and even double checked with Home Depot… my planks were definitely available and in stock. After months of back and forth emails, Marc stopped responding to my status requests. I have sent numerous requests to have this situation rectified, only to be ignored. This has been a very disheartening situation because I had really relied on their services and sang their praises.

I found Flatpack thru Unilocal and reached out to them for TV mounting. Trae came over and exceeded all my expectations. He was professional, efficient and paid attention to every detail. I was surprised when he offered to clean up the mess he was making. I was even more surprised when he offered to help with other things I simply asked his opinion about. I will be using Flatpack to mount two other tvs I have and any other services they provide.

Very unprofessional overall. I first spoke to Trae who was very helpful and responsibly followed through with instructions for getting a quote from Marc. From there, it went down hill. I took the time to provide the details of my move/​assembly, but I received no quote from Marc, no response to messages left, and they did not answer their phones for days. Seems like they offer good service, but they are rusty with follow-​through, communication, quotes, and overall customer service. Hopefully they’ll get it together.

I used their service to install the entertainment center — besta from ikea, along with in wall lights installation.
The technician Trae was very professional and knowledgeable. He patiently worked to understand my requirements and did an excellent job. Can’t say enough about his attitude, a perfect gentleman. Highly recommend them. I wish I knew about them before I got the other installations done.
One friendly suggestion — faster response to quote request would be greatly helpful.

Our order was to assemble an IKEA wardrobe and some bookcases, and also move another wardrobe and a sofa from one room to another. Two people were supposed to come, however, only one person showed up because his partner has a bad stomach flu or something. So the job took whole day on Saturday and half of Sunday, instead of just several hours on Saturday, and my husband had to help with carrying the sofa and the wardrobe (evidently, the company does not have workers that they can substitute on a short notice). That said, I think the worker who came did his best dealing with a difficult situation, and I am extremely happy with his skills and his effort. I would recommend him highly, and I would be happy to hire him again. Also, their prices are very good, cheaper than IKEA assembly.

I reached out to this company to help mount my Besta tv console to the wall. Trae, the contractor doing the job, exceeded all expectations. His prompt arrival, professionalism, attention to detail, and overall quality of work was top notch. He offered to vacuum to clean up as he worked (the job took nearly 5 hrs) and he was meticulous with his preparation to ensure, stability and avoid mistakes. My unit was mounted to the wall with proper wire/​cable management.
I enjoy learning new tricks and Trae was open to sharing the knowledge as he worked. Great experience and I will definitely recommend him and FlatPack Furniture to anyone looking for assembly service.

Marc, Trae and co. were really professional, accommodating, flexible (even when iKea screwed up orders, missed time frames and missed orders). They arrived on time and were extremely prompt.

I arrived from San Francisco to help set up my daughter in an apartment for her second year at college. I contacted Flatpackfurniture from the west coast, ordered up $ 1500.00 of Ikea furniture and hoped for the best. I got the best. Tray and Drew arrived ready to go. They worked tirelessly for five hours and at the end we had a home. They were experienced, professional and really nice. And, they took away all the boxes and debris! I am not afraid of Ikea anymore. We hired these guys to build a number of Ikea cabinets (kitchen and bath) and they were impressive.
First of all, they were working in a construction site that was very hot, with a lot going on – and they were unfazed. The showed up organized, uniformed, and went about the unpleasant job of assembly ikea stuff with ease. Even though it took them more time than I think they anticipated, they didn’t try to change the price and honored the estimate. I was impressed and will use them again.
