Not PLEASED at all. I called on Tuesday to have oil delivered and was told they could not deliver until Friday. ok, so it’s Friday going on 5pm and I call to find out what’s going on, just to be told the delivery guy called out sick this am. so I am like you don’t have the common courtesy to call your customers to inform them of this… I was told we will be out tomorrow. I pray so hopefully I gave enough oil to last till tomorrow. Once my credit is all used up I will NO longer do business with this company.

I have been with them for over 20 years my oil bill is direct pay, I have a credit balance and I have always been on auto refill during the blizzard we just had I ran out of oil. I called them on Sunday and now it is Wednesday and no one has called me back. I have been without heat for 4 days now. I guess this is how they treat their elderly disabled customers.

The worst imaginable customer service. Unbelievably rude. Incoherent pricing policies. Poor service. Overpriced in comparison to the others in the area I’ve had numerous problems with these folks over the years; they are uniformly inefficient, inept, and unpleasant. DONOTUSE. Repeat: the worst of the worst.

Our motor in our HVAC unit went out on a Friday night and they came out to inspect that Saturday morning. They had to order a new motor which was scheduled to be installed that Monday. Monday came and went with no word and no help from my numerous calls. My multiple voice mails on Tuesday were not returned. Wednesday arrives and they finally return my calls and say that the motor should be installed today. I leave work in the afternoon to come home while its installed… but it’s the wrong motor for my model. Unbelievable. My one year old son, wife, dog, and I have had no heat and they order the wrong motor. The technicians that came to our house were nice enough, but I’ll be damned if I’m going to be at the mercy of their faulty logistics ever again.

We originally used MIFCO before they were changed over to Griffith, the previous owners recommended MIFCO to us. We recently replaced our Heater and A/C system and used Griffith to do it, nice brand new units. As with all brand new units, issues rarely happen. The maintenance agreements were sent to us for both units once the free warranty was up: $ 900 a year!!! REALLY! For brand new units!!! We opted out, we could understand $ 300-$ 400 a year but not $ 900. Maybe as the units got older we would pay more, but not this much. As for heating oil, we found another provider cheaper than Griffith. If you have good credit, best advice is sign up with several oil delivery companies in your area, this way the 8 ball is in your court.

The worst. I dropped Petro because of their lousy service and switched this year to Griffith. Everything they did to me in the course of six months would takes pages to recount. Horrible, negligent, uncaring service. I paid all my bills, took very good care of my heating unit, was there for scheduled appointments — on time — and was abused. The last straw was this past week when they let my oil tank run dry in the middle of this cold weather and then could not bother to tell me when(even with a paid for service plan) they would be out to fill the tank. I signed up for automatic delivery when the account was set up. That night, waiting and waiting for them to show up, without a return call from their dispatch, I threw away my expensive tickets to a play downtown, cancelled my dinner reservations and sat in the cold with my cats. While waiting for them, I called Laurel Fuel in Laurel and switched my account to them. They were at my house first thing in the morning and filled my tank and set up the new account. Good riddance Griffith.

Had contract with them for one year and could not wait for it to be over. Gave us good rates at start but that was the last we saw of any decent rate. Service contract expensive and service terrible. Had to re service boiler after house filled with soot. They also do not not communicate effectively, so that when I had until June to lock in new rates, they switched me over to variable rates in April. Would not hear of adjusting for their error. Save yourself the headache and the expense. go with a reputable company.

Rochester NY Location. Totally disorganized company, poorly trained field staff, rude office staff. Seems like a totally downtrodden disgruntled group, very unprofessional. I should have went with Suburban Propane! I do not recommend them. Poor after sale service and incorrect first bill as well.

No one likes heating oil companies that charge a lot during a cold winter, but these guys are beyond terrible. Like the other review, we entered into a contract with them and it has been nothing but a headache. We called for a heating oil delivery when we were nearly out of oil and they didn’t show up for another two weeks(even though we were told that our house was on that day’s route multiple times). We ended up getting another company to deliver our oil instead, and then when Griffith called many days later to finally tell us that their truck was at the house, they were annoyed with us for not having someone at the house to greet them. Even worse than their off-schedule deliver service are the billing people. I have been on the phone with them at least 10 times as well, and have confirmed payments only to have them send me additional bills and have no record of payment agreements. And the quoted prices went up when we got the bills! All of this while having to listen to their phone hold recording telling me what great service they provide! Don’t go with Griffith!

Awful! that is the service I got from Griffith. We had our oil contract with them this year, big mistake! When I called to have oil delivered they said they delivered oil to us but somehow our oil was still empty. Then when I called them about it they dicked me around saying they gave us oil. We were forced to have it delivered by someone else, while they still told me they delivered our oil. Then when I tried to terminate our contract they dicked me around even more. They said it was terminated but the next month I got a bill from them saying our we owed them two months. So I called them again and it took two more call before I finally was able to end this mess. Overall I have to call them at least 10 times before my contract was finally canceled. Do not do business with them they are awful!
