I got my hair and makeup done at 212 Day Spa for my wedding and they did an AMAZING job. I could not have been happier. Jeanna made the whole experience very personal by surprising me with a framed picture of me and my husband. They reserved the whole upstairs salon just for the bridal party which was great. All of the bridesmaids were thrilled with their hair and makeup.
I highly recommend this salon.

I recently started going to Carol for my highlights and cuts and couldn’t be happier. I have received so many more compliments on my highlights since she has started doing them. The salon has a parking lot in the back which is nice and the staff is always very hospitable. They always offer you coffee, tea, or water and make sure that you are comfortable during your visit. I am so glad I found this salon! Thanks Carol for the great color & cuts!

I found a hidden gem! Linda did a fantastic job with my haircut a few months ago and I decided to try her for my color. I have been to countless salons in the past 15 years and she has done the best color job thus far. I really love my color and highlights. I was scared of going short since I’ve always had long hair but I love my new short and sassy ‘do! Thanks for making me feel revived!

Great manicure and pedicure by Sunday. Being new to this area, it is so nice to find a friendly salon with warm and inviting people. Not only was Sunday good at what she does but introduced me around and made me feel so welcome. I had a great experience and the prices are so much better than the DC area! Highly recommend.

I have been in Montclair 3 years and finally found the best hair place!!! Kimberly gave me the best haircut I have ever had in my 31 years of life– it made me feel awesome and she was the perfect amount of chatty. I am sooo happy I found this place! I have been loyal forever bc of JEANA! She does my hair my moms and my two sisters. We all love and trust her with our hair. From cuts, blow outs, up dos and perms! She has magic hands when it comes to hair and her talent clearly shows with so many happy clients! If I am ever famous I will have to hire jeana to live with me and do my hair every day!

Recently my colorist Sue started working at 212 Salon and Day Spa. She is an amazing colorist I would follow her anywhere! The space is beautiful and very relaxing. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had a great first experience here, I will definitely be back soon!

Her main reason for switching was due to the colorist Sue moving over (from said Salon). She recommends 212. The staff are very friendly and polite and the atmosphere is great!!! 212 Salon and Day Spa was the one and only place I trusted to make my bridal party look like princesses on my wedding day.
For context, I was the type of bride that researched at least 6 vendors before picking «the one». I had followed the development of 212 Salon and Day Spa from before they opened their doors. I am lucky enough to live down the street from them, so I could literally see their progress each day. When they opened, I couldn’t wait to check the place out. The owners were incredibly kind and professional, and gave me a tour right at the get go. They were honest – the bridal suite wasn’t quite ready when I toured – but they assured me that they would make it perfect in time for my wedding.
I trialed with my maid of honor at 212 in late April for my August wedding. To say we were blown away is an understatement. For context, I have very straight and elastic Asian hair. While my hair is «easy», it’s rather difficult to make it do anything beyond be straight. Jeanna, however, is a wizard. When I met her, I knew I was in good hands. She has a warm, open, and loving personality. She also has MANY years of experience under her belt for bridal updos on all kinds of hair. About 45 minutes, 87 pins and a rubberband later, my hair was just like what you see in bridal magazines and on Pinterest.
My makeup was done by Irene. A week after my trial, she called to see how the makeup withstood the day. She also wrote down every product she used on my skin so she’d be prepared for my wedding day.
Did I mention that Jeanna volunteered to drive to my wedding venue on the day of my wedding so she could switch my headpiece and remove my veil? Yeah – that happened. This was all just for the trial! These people do NOT mess around when it comes to making you look perfect.
On the day of my wedding, the room was ready like they promised. Jeanna had found my engagement photos on my photographer’s website, and prepared a framed photograph of my husband and me for the room. I had a party of 7 girls and myself, all needing some variety of hair and/​or makeup. We were in and out in about 4 hours, looking beautiful for the day. That in itself is very impressive. It says something about the group of stylists that works so well together as a team to get my many varieties of girls looking incredible in that short amount of time.
If you want a place that gives you the personal and honest touch, this is the place to go. I can’t wait to make this my go-​to salon from here on out.

Finally after over a month of back and forth they refunded my $ 120 of overcharges. Still keeping it at a 1 star because they put me through such bs!

Came here to follow my always amazing colorist sue. The salon has such a nice vibe — I feel at home while getting my hair done. Front desk team was very nice and warmly greeted me. The products the have available are top of the line. The customer service was all around great. I’m excited to make this my new go to salon.

Sue is the most amazing colorist — she is unrivaled. I’ve been w her for years. Besides being talented, she’s also down to earth, fun and easy to communicate with. Sue listens to what I have to say before she lets me know what she thinks will work best, and she’s always right. I’ve never been disappointed.
Had my blow out done by Julie. I’m incredibly picky and she gave me a fantastic blowout — in record time for my long, thick hair. Will def be back to her again.
The salon itself is beautiful and light filled. Everyone is welcoming and friendly — a great vibe. The owner, a very sweet gentleman, walked the floor nearly the entire time. My check out w Holly was a breeze.
Overall, an awesome experience.
