History

Established in 2014.

The mission of Bluegrass Educational Services and Tutoring is to provide a nurturing environment where learners can discover learning strategies that will enable them to succeed in educational pursuits.

At B.E.S.T students will learn to become independent learners through an educational therapeutic process of identifying positive, productive learning strategies and learning to use those strategies in the classroom.

Services are provided for

Children and adults with learning challenges

All students in K-​12 and college core curriculum

Michele H.

Business Owner

Michele (Shellie) Howard is an Owensboro native who graduated from Daviess County High School. She is married to a United States Navy veteran and earned her bachelors degree in General Psychology and Masters degree in Educational Psychology while serving as a military spouse. Upon returning home, Shellie began studies for her doctoral degree in Educational Psychology.

Shellie has worked with both adult and children learners serving as a tutor, a college instructor, and a middle school teacher. She is passionate about teaching and loves to help children and adult learners to realize their full potential as life-​long learners. Shellie believes that every learner is capable of learning and is devoted to aiding learners in finding learning strategies that work for their individual needs in order to succeed academically and achieve their dreams
