History
Established in 1988.
The Mane Place was started for three reasons. I wanted to be closer to home because of my family, I fell in love with horses, and believed that there was a need for western style tack. Over the years the store has changed many times. Western wear was what everyone wanted to wear at the local clubs while line dancing and two stepping until the clubs closed one by one. Once the business moved from Blackstone to Uxbridge the tack, horse, and barn supplies grew and grew. After 19 years in business the buillding that we occupied burned down to the ground. We moved to our current location and with 3200 sq ft and 1600 of it without heat we decided to try feed. That business exploded because of the high quality feed that we chose to carry along with the knowledge to present it and the service to top it all off. As I write this we are 25 years strong in a family owned business!
Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner
I always wanted to run my own business and just never really knew what it would be until I fell in love with horses. This all came about because of my teenaged daughter. She gave it up and I went all in. I’ve been riding western for over 25 years. I am surrounded by horses, dogs, chickens, and cats on my farm — the best place to be. I have two children and 4 grandchildren. My husband and daughter work with me at the store accompanied by my oldest grandaughter from time to time. Our golden and lab come to work every day. Besides my family of people and pets I enjoy music, movies, books, decorating, and creating. Early on I graduated with an accounting degree from Bryant College. I love to learn and have taken other courses from tax accounting to saddle fitting. Most of all I will choose to ride my horses or go for walks with our dogs always with the company of my wonderful husband.
