They have a picture of a AR and a AK on their logo out front and you can’t shoot either one of those rifles there. Beware No 5.56 or 762 allowed.

Absolutely love this place. After being treated like a criminal and another local shop. (GF&OS) it was a breath of fresh air when I first came to this shop and was treated like a paying customer. Staff is friendly knowledgeable and super helpful, good prices and great selection. Makes me happy to see a small local business doing so well… I will be a lifetime customer at ASP!

I don’t know what happened here but suffice it to say I NEVER CHANGED MY REVIEW from 5 Stars to 1 Star and I don’t know what happened. I just happened to be looking on Unilocal and saw this. What the Hell???

This place has changed ownership many times over the years and it’s still the best place to go shooting at. Good prices on amno and range time. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

It’s a very busy place and mostly focused on people checking in for the gun range. Borderline rude staff, had the feeling they are not interested in selling guns. Had 3 different guys in 5 min showing me a couple guns I like to see to decide what I want to buy. Not one of them explained anything about the guns. They have a great selection of guns and solid amount of accessories. Just develop some customer service please!

I’ve been coming here for a couple years with my dad, ever since he started collecting guns. This place is awesome it’s not too big but everyone here is really friendly and knowledgeable. You can rent the guns they have or just bring your own. It’s not to expensive to get an hour of shooting in. The last time we went their was a man who teaches classes for shooting. He was nice enough to give me some tips after his class with a student. Basically on his own time showing me other ways to aim at my target since I was having a hard time hitting the Bulls eye. So that was really nice of him, my dad and him were testing out eachothers guns too lol. But it’s close to my parents house so whenever I go by to visit we come shooting. It does get pretty packed on the weekends so come early or a little later in the evening so you don’t have to wait so long. This is an indoor shooting range.

The only place I give my gun business to. George, Chelsea and their staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Being ex-​military it also is a plus that they are veteran owned! If you’re new to guns or a seasoned pro, they will help you out without the condescending attitude, arrogance, or pressure you will find at other shops. Plus the range and rentals allow you to try before you buy! I have bought 5 firearms and done 1 private party transfer there, all the prices were fair and customer service was phenomenal. I’ll be buying more soon!

New to me, but from walking in the door at this place, its immaculate. Clean, organized, nice employees, helpful, the list goes on. We waited About 30 minutes on a sunday, not too bad, got a couple lanes in the back room with our group of 4. We tried about 7 different guns, in hopes i found the one i liked, which i did.
This place definately steered me in the correct direction, but also i got to try a lot of different guns. I ended up loving the xd9, bought it, passed my test, now i cant wait to Pick it up!

This is a great place to shoot plus the staff is great, and very knowledgeable.. I would recommend this to anyone even thinking about shooting or purchasing a weapon.

I needed to get educated on gun safety and guns period! As a newbie at all of this I just needed step by step guidance. They literally held my hand thru this whole process. I feel comfortable and confident in my new found independence of owning a gun and being safe about it. I want to say thank you to this amazing business for all they do!

Stopped going when it was Centermass as they seemed to be having problems maintaining the facility and ranges. Did not enjoy going to Guns Fishing and … Very impersonal. Went back to range now under ASP ownership and boy have they done a great job of turning the place around for the better. Great friendly knowledgeable folks who seem truly interested in providing great customer service. Good discounts for LE, first responders, military and veterans. Owner is a vet. Just wish they would open a Napa range:)

Great store! Veteran owned and they treat Vets great here!!! Good selection on guns, ammo and they can get what you want if they don’t have it. Good prices. I got a new trigger for my M&P 9 that they suggest and they put it on for me. They did a great job!

My boyfriend brought me here for my first time ever shooting as a birthday present. It was a lot more fun that I anticipated, and the guys behind the counter were incredibly helpful in recommending something I could shoot (9mm Beretta) without having a problem with recoil. They were super knowledgable and weren’t pushy.
The range was very clean, the only rounds on the floor were from the people presently in there.
We drove from Elk Grove to here because it was more affordable, and had better reviews than the ones close to home. I wasn’t disappointed at all.
Great first time shooting for me! It made me want to come back again and try new things.

These guys were great, They helped me out with a PPT on a Sunday when other stores wouldn’t… I’m not going to name names but the other store started with guns, fishing and other stuf*.
I came in with a buddy and both of us were surprised with their pricing, out of four stores these guys had the best price on the Sig I was looking at (and by a good amount). Had I not already found a seller I would have definitely gone through these guys, and will go to see them in the future.

My one-​star review still stands. J.M. is entitled to his opinion as am I in my own review. My backwards department refers to our head honcho as a Sheriff; I never knew that an elected official in the fourth-​largest county in the state was a «backwards department» but hey, to each their own.
Nowhere in my review did I state that I was looking for a discount. I wasn’t. I was looking for good customer service which I did not receive during the latter part of the first visit, during my brief conversation on the telephone, or during my second visit. As I cited, the girl that I dealt with during the first part was helpful and knowledgeable. The one plus of dealing with them so they definitely shouldn’t get rid of her.
I also didn’t state that I was looking to have the 10-​day waiting period waived. I’m well aware of state law (and didn’t have a department letter). That’s also why I let the guy know I would be back in 14 days later; normally you don’t tell someone that when you’re looking to have the wait waived. However, it does provide exemptions: check out Title 11, Division 5, Chapter 4 to start. Before trying to correct a review please read it thoroughly.
I cited what I do simply because people like to discredit bad reviews (exactly like J.M. did). Sorry that he didn’t like it. Fortunately these reviews are about the store and not about me, or my qualifications or lack thereof, so getting back to them: their customer service was horrible. There’s no two ways about that. I’m thrilled that other customers have received great customer service. I did not. I don’t think that a badge entitles me to discounts or better customer service, but I do think that I’m entitled to good customer service because I was a paying customer. And good customer service I did not receive.
Take my review for what it’s worth; if you’ve received great service from these people then I’m absolutely happy for you and they’ve earned a customer in you. If you’re someone new looking for a place to go I’d personally check elsewhere.

It’s very ridiculous when someone let’s their job/​status/​position go to their head. I have dealt with ASP since they where on Orange Drive and have only ever had the most professional and amazing experience. ASP is a very community friendly and caring business; they do their very best to assist their customers in every way afforded them by law. I am a cop, and I don’t see how that makes me any better than the amazing people I serve… so when I read the review by Adam B. I was very annoyed and upset. First, he is wrong about his departmental ID providing exemptions from the 10 day waiting period… The law (see section 26 950 of the California Penal Code) basically relates such:
California law enforcement officers who have a letter signed by the head of the agency stating they are full time paid peace officers authorized to carry a firearm in the performance of their duties and authorizing the purchase. The dealer must retain the original letter and attach it to the DROS record.
So, without a letter from his Chief/​Commisioner (or whatever title his backwards department uses for the head honcho), his ID is good for nothing. Also, that guy was attempting to bully his way into a discount… that itself should show you how credible his review is.

I have bought 3 or 4 guns and rifles from the guys here and let me tell you they are not pompass asses as the other big gun and fishing store. I ask what I would call stupid or silly questions and they answer in a kind and easy to understand manner. Even with owning 9 firearms and growing, I still claim not to know everything. I have always wanted to learn how to shoot, but like most people I’ve been just too busy with my career. So last month I finally decided to take action. I went online and did a Unilocal Search and found A.S.P. as the shooting range nearest to me with the best reviews. I called and asked about private lessons because I was basically a beginner and wanted the one-​on-​one attention.
The «In-​House» Instructor is Brian Bullock, who is Retired Army and comes with a host of credentials. Good so far? It gets better. First, I wanted to know what gun would be best for me. Brian showed me a variety of pistols and helped me make the right choice, but it went into «hostage» until I got cleared. So to get started, I used one of theirs.
The first lesson was all about gun safety (very thorough) and later we spent time on the range. Since then, I have invested in 5 additional 1:1 lessons and have learned a dependable pre-​shot routine, making my shots both reliable and accurate.
One additional note, the range hires some really excellent staff (I believe all military trained) that seem to make everyone feel comfortable, not rushed, and who carefully address all questions and concerns.
I highly recommend A.S.P. without reservation and extend kudos to Brian Bullock who I believe is an exceptional Instructor.

I’ve been here quite a few times now and I suppose it’s about time I did a review. Hands down, best range in vacaville/​fairfield area. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. It’s your average indoor range. But I like the fact that the prices are fair and customer service is top. Definitely worth the visit and is my local go-​to range.

This place is awesome and so are the workers. Best price for bulk ammo without attending a gun show.

My home range is Yolo Sportsman’s Association, but they’re not open on Mondays and Tuesdays. So I decided to give ASP a shot. After filling out a quick waiver, having my firearm cleared, and handing over my driver’s license, I was assigned a lane and ready to shoot. The lanes are clean and in good shape. All the staff I encountered were friendly and knowledgeable. The gentleman behind the counter (Brian?) even let me try out the crisp Apex trigger on his own M&P. I didn’t browse thoroughly, but the store looks promising too, with competitive pricing on firearms and ammo. Given my positive experience, I’m considering making ASP my home range for all future handgun practice. I don’t give out five-​star reviews often, but I honestly can’t think of any improvements.
Now for a few tips:
— There’s plenty of parking in the back, so don’t bother trying to find a spot on the street.
— If you go between 11AM-​2PM on Tuesday– Thursday, lanes only cost $ 7 per hour. You can’t find a better deal!

I was happy when ASP announced they were going to take over the old Center Mass location and reopen it. I used to go to their original Orange Drive location and have always been impressed by their customer service. I’m glad that came along with the move. :)
Most gun shops can be intimidating places to set foot in. This is not one of them. The floor space is open, well-​organized and inviting. ASP carries plenty of stuff for all of your firearm-​related needs. The prices on ammo are some of the best around, especially if you pick it up in bulk like I do. ASP’s got a good selection (about as good as this state will allow anyway) of handguns and long guns. The consignment section is always worth browsing through. I’m still kicking myself for whiffing on a well-​kept Colt Python (!).
The range itself is always tidy and well-​kept. The lanes are well-​marked at the 5, 7 and 10 yard lines, perfect for setting up your targets. Rates are fairly inexpensive and the selection of rental firearms continues to grow, which is great because a prospective buyer can likely try out what they are set on before actually committing to a purchase. Most of the people who come to ASP are experienced with firearms, so you don’t have to worry about some dimwit in the next lane over pointing a pistol in your direction while trying to impress his nonplussed girlfriend.
I try to get in some practice time at least once a week and it has always been a smooth, delightful experience. I love being able to support a small, locally owned business; even better is that ASP is veteran-​owned. Keep up the great work, you guys!

Great range with a nice selection. The staff was also very helpful. They have a great inventory but if they sell out they’re good about restocking ASAP. Their customer service is great too, as they took the time to answer any of our questions and let us hold several hand guns. Great business!

What a great shooting range. I went there before when it was Center Mass and had bad service and the place was a wreck. Now it looks great and the staff is awesome. They are so friendly and helpful. I love it that they don’t treat me like I am an idiot when I ask them a question. They treat me like I am a pro gun owner just like them. Thank you guys for the best option in Solano county for guns ammo and shooting. I would say best in Cali but I haven’t checked out all the ranges in the whole state. I will repost once I do.

I’ve been shooting here since the range opened under the ASP name. This is the only range in Vacaville that I will use after having a few scary experiences several times at that other range near the freeway. The owner and employees at ASP are great in every way; professional and always cheerful. I bought a pistol from them earlier this year at a great price. My wife, who is a new shooter, is comfortable at this range and took a lesson with the instructor Brian, who is always friendly to us. Being retired military, I’m more comfortable around weapons when I know the place is operated and supervised by soldiers and Marines. There are a couple of things they could do to improve the flow of customers checking in and out of the range when it’s busy, but they didn’t ask my opinion on it so I won’t comment further. Thanks for being here, ASP!

They were very attentive. We were relatively new to shooting hand guns and our safety trainer was very through, kind and well spoken. I highly recommend this for a couples date or with your family. Inexpensive and a great time. I will be going back many more times. Thank you to the staff for excellent hospitality

Great experience with a PPT here. Emailed off hours asking about the process. The OWNER replied within minutes and was happy to handle it.
I arrived early and checked out the shop. Great selection of all items and parts. The staff was VERY helpful.
I also noticed many other patrons must be regulars. Everyone was happy and lots of small talk with the staff.
Next time I will have to try out the range itself.

I absolutely LOVE this place. As a female who is fairly new to the gun world, the whole process can be intimidating. Nobody likes to feel like an idiot. I’ve never felt that way when visiting here. I actually tried the place out when it was called Center Mass. The new ownership has turned this place around and it is so much nicer! I like that they consolidated the store on Orange Dr and the range into one place. They’re very knowledgeable and friendly and even more importantly, they’re not pushy. I get most of my bulk ammo here especially during their sales and I use the range at least once a month.
Update 4÷5÷16: I finally bought a gun from them today. I misplaced my HSC (which was probably going to expire within a year anyway) so I had to retake the safety test. Jorge was cool enough to waive the fee. Seriously, this place is awesome. Just go and see for yourself.

This is my preferred shooting range and they’re closing their Orange Dr location so now everything is going to be here! I used to stop by the retail location first then head here but now there’s no need.
First of all, I am all about supporting local business. It’s just a bonus that the owner is a veteran (thank you for your service). Additionally, all the staff is professional, friendly and down-​to-​earth. I’ve been to plenty of places with staff that is too up tight even when you’re LE.
I haven’t purchased a firearm from them yet but I’ve purchases plenty of ammo, accessories, etc. Their prices are fair and usually below other shops and even online. They never jacked up the ammo prices at the range vs the retail shop. They charge you the same which I really appreciated. Don’t you love when businesses aren’t trying to nickel and dime you?!
The range is super clean and well ventilated. I usually wear a hoody when I go because it can get a little drafty. Their rental selection is growing and the price is only like $ 10. The only requirement (normal) is that you have to use new ammo, not reloads. Of course they have some for sale.
Brian is their shooting instructor and he’s always helpful. He’s helped me out a few times and given me advice. Definitely going to take one of his classes someday. They’ve also got another guy (sorry I forget your name) that just got Glock certified. I’m looking forward to having him do some work on my Glocks. They’re supposed to offer Glock blue label soon.
I haven’t been shooting in a few weeks but I usually go a couple times a month. This is the only place that will get my business and I live about 45 minutes away. It’s worth the drive and every time I’m taken care of.
I definitely recommend coming in and exercising your 2^nd amendment rights the legal and right way with ASP’s staff helping and guiding you.

I took my handgun safety test here, and have been here many times to shoot in the shooting range.
The service is great. The people that work here are always up to have a little conversation with you and will answer any questions you may have. Sometimes, gun stores/​shooting ranges can be an intimidating place to be, but not here. The people make you feel welcome.
The prices are also very reasonable and they give you a card that you can fill out so you don’t have to fill out all the forms each and every time you come here to shoot. I do believe they may offer discounts to certain military and/​or law enforcement but I’m not sure.
They also sell eye and ear protection and all the little things you may need. I highly recommend this place to come shooting when you’re in Vacaville.

They did a great job renovating the old Center Mass range and place their stamp of excellence on it. Locally owned, great price, good selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff, I love this place!
