History

Established in 1989.

In 1989 Mike Petrillo opened an Independent Goodyear store in Fairfield, CA on Travis Blvd. After several years of growing the business Mike was able to expand to Vallejo in 1995 and Vacaville in 1997. Petrillo’s Tire & Auto Center Inc. has been a staple small business in Solano County for over 20 years. Petrillo’s Tire is owned and operated by Mike Petrillo and his son Dustin Petrillo. Today Petrillo’s Tire is located in Vacaville at 131 Elmira Rd. Petrillo’s is active in the community with different events throughout the year at the Elmira Road location. Came here after being told by Jiffy Lube that I needed to have work done after trying to get an oil change there. The guys here changed my oil with ease with no extra work that needed to be done (thanks a lot jiffy lube FYI don’t go there). They also gave me recommendations on what to do for maintenance for my high milage car both at the place and when I got it home. So awesome to know that I can finally take my car somewhere that they won’t take advantage of me because of being a female. Thanks for everything!

My check engine light was on and my car was leaking radiator fluid. I was told I needed a new water pump my estimate was $ 950ish plus tax. I told them I guess I have to get it done. Meanwhile I called Chrysler to get a estimate thinking it was going to be way higher than that estimate. And that would of made me feel better about paying the estimate I was told, but to my surprise they told me $ 554 and I can bring it in now. Needless to say I paid my $ 79 diagnostic check that would of been added to my nearly $ 1000 estimate and took it to Chrysler Vacaville ! I gave it 2 stars because the people were nice but I would of totally got ripped off

So I came in to get my tire patched which Firestone had told me I had a nail in it. I came here for a cheaper price and it turns out it wasn’t even a nail. It was just a scrap of metal. And which they just took it out and didn’t even charge me! I am very pleased with their customer service. I will definitely be coming back for future services.

These guys are wonderful. Got me in quickly, did the smog fast and to top it off, thanked me for my military service and said the smog was on them. Wonderful, wonderful people. I cannot express how much that meant to me. I’ve taken my two cars to them for the last two years and will continue to!

Don’t expect any service at the scheduled open time of 7:30am. Mechanics don’t show up to until 8:00 am — 8:45am. Only one person there checking in cars. What’s the point to advertise a 7:30 open time?

I highly recommend this place to my friends and family for your smog, auto repair/​maintenance and tire needs! We have had 3 different cars in the shop within the past week for different reasons but each time they have taken good care of us and our vehicles. :)

Got me out with my smog check in 20 minutes (quoted 30 minutes). My free coffee from them didn’t even cool down enough for me to be able to drink it! Super sweet reception and check out too. He made small talk with the customers which is a nice community feel. Fast, excellent service. Great prices, plus coupons in The Grapevine. Highly recommend.

These guys are my go to for all our vehicles and service trucks. We have had everything done by them from a window regulator tova full engine replace and they never let us down. And I always support local family owned businesses. Give them a try-​they wont disappoint.

Worst place a lady answered the phone I asked if she had a tire in stock and then she hung up. I called back and guess what!!! She answered it same damn lady I said I believe you hung up on me she said I said hello three times and I didn’t hear anything so I then said do you have a tire in stock she over talked me and said what. And I said can you listen to me and she just kept talking and said I didn’t hang up on you its all you. I then said can I talk to another person she put me on home for 6 mins and a guy answered and said what can I get you all rude I said nvm I’ll go to a different tire shop and hung up. Bad service poor customer service. Rude people without manners. I will never recommend this place or ever go there.

I took my truck in for a smog and was told by Dominique that my truck didn’t pass the pre test and that I needed to pay an additional 79.99 to have it diagnosed!! REALLY???I left and took it to another smog facility where it passed with flying colors. I will never go back to a place that tried to rip me off!

I came here on the recommendation of a friend. And now it’s time to pass that on. Bill E. was outstanding; he quickly grasped what I was looking for and recommended a set of wheels and tires for my Ram 3500 that are absolutely outstanding!!! Not only that, but he quoted me a price that was more than fair. I wholeheartedly recommend this shop and they will have all my tire business in the future. Please patronize this locally owned shop!!!

Wish this place took apts. went to get my oil changed and everyone was super nice but the only thing that annoyed me was the guy told me it would be approximately an hour, I was there for two and the first hour I sat watching my car not move from where I parked it. I realize in the service industry times are approximate since things happen unexpectedly, but I feel like this guy knew it was gonna take longer than that and told me an hour to get me to stay (for the business) I just wish I was told that it was gonna be an hour wait and then an hour of work. I would have come back at another time since I ended up running late to work. Other than that down fall I had a great experience here and will come back.

Showed up for a smog at 5:15pm on a Monday ans was told they do not do smog after 5pm. What an inconvenience. I spent the last 15 mins of my work day looking for a business open after 5 to do a smog. Smh.

Went there (10÷03÷14) to get my car re smog after failing the test previously. No appt, walk-​in only. The good news, only took half the time compared to the first visit. But still took twice as long as the smog shop I normally go. If you don’t mind waiting, is a good deal. Something else that caught my attention… after paying I asked the cashier to staple my paper works. The impression I got from her body language was one of inconvenienced. She reluctantly stapled the papers, As I walked out the door, I realized she did not give me my key. intentional or oversight? Wow… could have easily told me before I walked out the door or bought the key out to me. There was another person working the counter and no other customer waiting. Then again, is probably to much to ask for. Long waits and poor customer service puts Petrillo’s Tire & Auto Service on my not to go list.

I went here after I tried taking my van to get a smog test at another company. The other company said they couldn’t even test my car before seeing a mechanic because they obviously did not know how to do their job. I had to pass by here on my way home so I thought I would check out and see what their advice was.
I explained to them the reason the other place wouldn’t do it and they agreed that it should not have been an issue. The whole thing was a mute point however because they are testing a new system for the state and they could use the new system if I made an appointment or returned the next day at opening.
I did and they had me in and out quickly and my van passed. I would recommend them if you are looking to get your car smog tested.

These guys are crooks. They took advantage of my desperate situation and charged me an extremely unfair price (over $ 350.00 in labor to replace an oil pan!)
I tell everybody to steer clear of this place. I wish I could give zero stars.

My girl friend took her BMW Roadster in for an oil change and their mechanic broke the oil plug. Now a car that has never leaked, has leaked a big puddle in our driveway!
When we asked them to fix it they told we would have to pay $ 1,300 for them to fix what they broke!
I wouldn’t let them work on my bicycle!
Every other auto center we contacted said if they had broke our car they would fix it. Not Petrillo’s, their owner said it was our problem!
Take your cars there at your own risk!
