The Crescent Inn at The Mall

We needed two rooms for one night during a stopover while traveling for a funeral.
Pros: Very friendly staff member at the front desk who did her best to be helpful, and the rooms were less expensive than the chain hotels nearby.
Unfortunately, that’s the end of the pros. On the negative side, we ended up changing rooms three times: once to move upstairs, (as this is a two story, exterior access hotel whose property is literally adjacent to the local mall’s parking lot); a second time because the light in the bathroom was burned out in one room and there were no maintenance personnel on call that evening to replace the weird curved fluorescent bulb; and a third time because after two hours of running constantly, the AC in one room just couldn’t cool it or remove the musty, moist smell.
While I appreciated the front desk staff member’s positive attitude and desire to help, the state of the property itself really precluded a satisfactory stay. I wouldn’t stay here again. Two stars: one for the check-​in staff and one because at least it didn’t cost me much.

Hotel room… Average, nothing special. Not worth the money. Nice soft pillows
