1^st time using Camelot as I usually use Matthew’s movers, but highly recommended them when they weren’t able to do the date I needed. Can say I’m impressed. Had to move my mother out of her apartment into a storage unit. Trevor and Victor were professional, careful with her items. Made moving easy and stress free. Most importantly showed up when they said they would and went the extra mile when we had issues at the storage unit. Thanks guys will use you again for sure

I did my homework prior to choosing a moving company, and picked Camelot because of the great reviews, and I am so glad I did. They were on-​time, careful with the stuff they were moving, and also careful to make sure they did not do any damage to the house we were moving out of or our new house. The crew worked hard, non-​stop from the minute they walked in the door. They were very friendly, courteous and respectful. If we ever move in the future, I will not even consider using anyone else!

I have to say that I am very impressed by Camelot moving & Storage, and have already recommended them to a family member. First, I want the say that the owner is a very kind, genuine guy who did everything he could to work with me for my long distance move to Oregon. After getting 3 different quotes from moving companies, I decided to go with Camelot. A few days before my move, my situation changed and I had the sudden need for month long storage! Daniel was a great help moving dates around and trying to find an affordable, flexible solution! The day of my move (the first half, into storage) JR and 3 other guys arrived on time and worked hard until the job was done right. I wish I could remember the names of the other 3 guys that day, because they did a fantastic job! About a month later it was time to bring my stuff on up to my new home. Once again, JR arrived with another team… Roger, David R and Alex. They were on time and had my entire house unloaded safely with everything in it’s it proper place within a few hours. They were fun to talk to and very kind. To top off my already great experience, a few days later I received a surprise visit from JR. Apparently one container was accidently missed. I hadn’t even noticed yet… but after driving to two other states, He showed up at my door to hand deliver the missed box on his way back to California! Now that is what I call amazing service! I would definitely use Camelot again and refer them to anyone who is looking for an affordable, reliable mover who will treat your things with care;)

I used Camelot to move a couple of weeks ago. They were friendly and timely in providing a quote. My move was complicated by the need to swap bedroom furniture out from another home. They planned accordingly and executed the move extremely well across two days. The teams that they sent out were extremely courteous and professional. They treated my belongings with care and made sure that everything was re-​assembled according to my needs. The team was led by Shawn and Kamar and to say they hustled barely does them justice. This was the hardest working moving crew I’ve used! To quote my father, who was here for the move: ‘I don’t know what you’re paying these guys, but they are worth every penny… they just aren’t slowing down’. Thank you to the entire team: Shawn, Kamar, Anthony, Elpidio, Roger, David R, Alex and Dustin! They even came in well under the quoted price!

Moved from Ca to Oklahoma. The initial contact & quote process was great. The owner comes out to write the quote. He is very pleasant & a great person. Packing day came, and it also went very well. All the packers very professional and friendly.
BUT THEN CAME THE DELIVERY (ominous music)…
Come to find out that they subcontract the unpacking process out to local «movers». The same people that took care during the packing process doesn’t meet you at your deluvery. I put quotes around movers because the people that show up freely make statements like, «we haven’t done this before, but we’ll figure it out», or «Didn’t know we were gonna have to deal with this. Let’s hope for the best…» I didn’t think that after paying thousands of dollars and entrusting my memories to professionals I was going to have to «hope for the best.»
These people they subcontract to have NO people skills snd are not professional. They show up to the job wanting to make as much money as they can in the shortest amount of time. They aren’t there for the customer, but only for their bank account. They don’t know the definition of responsibility, professionalism, rudeness, taking advantage of others, thinking that they are entitle to much more than they are, treating the customer less than a human being. They think these negative qualities are normal; or maybe they flat-​out don’t care.
I am physically disabled and was depending on the professionalism of the FULL process. I was putting my faith in the fact that what they took from my home in California would end up in my home in Oklahoma in the same condition. Is this too much to expect? This is supposedly what we as movers are paying for?
Those of us who have the need to move experience a very difficult & frustrating time. It is our goal to find professionals that will be there for us. As we educate ourselves on «moving tips». Should we feel guilty when applying these during the process?
I’m disabled @ on Social Security. What money I do have is precious. I don’t have many items to my name, but what I DO have is mine. I was shocked & horrified (which negatively affected my health & my family’s concern for me). By how I was literally laughed at… a joke… funny…to the movers on the receiving end. I was made to feel small, worthless, and someone to be laughed at my these «professionals.» I was shocked that when personal comments were made about me, there was no attempt to hide this from me. They wanted to make sure I heard.
We learn before a move to video/​take pictures of things that are broken before our eyes. We learn to label boxes that are fragile and/​or contain glass so they would be packed correctly. Instead, all of this additional work and care that we put in on the front end are dismissed during unpacking.
As long as you don’t question their unpacking methods, as long as we don’t take pictures, as long as we don’t ask for help, we as the customer and our memories will be handled in a minimally decent manner. If you open your mouth to question their unpacking process you are called names, belittled, while furniture, antiques and boxes are literally THROWN into rooms. We pay thousands of dollars for a move (that may take us years to save), and this is all we’re worth?
It is recommended we have insurance high is desperately needed after the move. Once Camelot finds out there are problems and claims to be made, they will speak with you once or twice, then you never hear from anyone from company ever again.
Today, 7-​months after my move is STILL literally have dozens of boxes still unopened as they were placed by the movers; waiting for an insurance adjuster to view fragile boxes containing flat screen tv’s under piles of 5 – 6 boxes of heavy books. Antique radios that were perfect when they went on the truck arriving and thrown in pieces in my garage. After ALL THIS TIME I am still unable to play my baby grand piano because it still sits as delivered – in pieces, with scratches and dents in my living room. It’s completely unplayable.
BE CAREFUL!

We just moved this past weekend and had heard about how great Camelot Movers were. So we hired them to move us. I couldn’t be more pleased with how the move went. Victor, Trevor, and Anthony were professional, fast, careful, accommodating, and above all, polite. They packed up our things as if they were their own — with care and expertise. They were also very thorough, making sure more than once that they had loaded everything we wanted. on the other side, they put everything in their proper place (and even switched a few things around when we asked). All in all, they did a fantastic job. Thanks guys!

We used Camelot this past summer to move from Santa Clarita to Holland, Michigan. Can’t say enough about how professional and efficient every from Camelot was. Everyone we dealt with was courteous and obviously dedicated to providing a successful move. We will very definitely be referring the Camelot group to our friends and family still in the Santa Clarita and Los Angeles area.

Camelot Movers and owner Billy Kornfeld are among the most professional and reliable businesses we have ever used. Every time… and we mean EVERY TIME. We have actually lost count of the home and business moves they have handled for us and our familes, but we believe it’s in the high teens, maybe more. Always careful, quick and tidy, and the two really small damages we have experienced over the many years were immediately resolved, politely and without drama. They’ve gone out of their way to accommodate a couple of very short notice requests and some quirky high-​rise moves, too. (Victor and Trevor smoothly handled a Wilshire Blvd medical office move, too, calmly negotiating elevator etiquette) Billy, thank you for your care of our family’s belongings so many times. Simply the best. Camelot did a fantastic job of moving our family on Halloween from Saugus to Valencia. There were some serious challenges in moving large furniture but they never gave up.
Now 7 weeks later we’ve yet to find any damage what so ever to any of possessions.
The team was courteous and polite and very open to make sure I was heard and listened to.
Do yourself a favor hire Camelot today!

Shawn and Mason were very kind and careful with my large furniture! They covered the new staircase with blankets and asked me several times if I wanted them to adjust any pieces. Thanks to the guys I will be ready for my Christmas guests with no stress!

Camelot is the best. Do yourself a favor and call them first. Don’t shop around for the best price like we did. Long story short, we were given a price by another mover and after they had their trucks loaded with all of our belongings, we were told our bill was triple the amount of our original quote! After getting all our belongings back, we scheduled Camelot to help us. I found the movers Joel, Kamar, Alex and Victor to be extremely professional, hard-​working, courteous and friendly. They came to my rescue and I am quite thankful.

Camelot moved a piano from my second floor home with wood flooring and wood stairs without any damage to my floor. They were very professional and did the job right! Always well worth to hire these professionals if you want the job done right.

Well, today was moving day and we were not fully prepared. But, our movers didn’t mind, they worked diligently in 100 degree weather filling crates with our furniture and boxes we had packed, then, later in the day they helped us finish up our packing. They were so understanding about how difficult the day was for us! Now our items are going into storage and I know they’ll be safe from harm. Dealing with everyone from Devon, who booked our move to Sean, who helped me through the final paperwork and all the delightful people in between has made this stressful time so much easier. I couldn’t be happier and highly recommend these guys!

This WAS my previous five-​star review: This moving company is fantastic. They are friendly, efficient, and careful with everything. I’ve only had one minor casualty (a powder-​coated side table that got chipped – nothing serious) in two moves between two third-​floor apartments that involved several pieces of large, unwieldy furniture and numerous boxes. They wrap everything really well.
I am about to move again for a new job, and I am looking forward to using these guys again.
AND THEN THIS HAPPENED…
***UPDATE*** I paid almost $ 4,000 to move the contents of a small, one-​bedroom apartment from CA to CO, using this company because of my previous excellent experiences. I wrapped all items myself with the exception of a $ 1500 Korg keyboard and stand and a $ 300 CB2 floor lamp. All three items were in immaculate condition prior to the move – not a single, solitary scratch on any of them. Upon unpacking this time, I saw that the entire keyboard stand was all but destroyed, as it looked like someone had dragged it across pavement (not sure why; it’s not heavy at all), the keyboard itself was scratched in multiple places, and the lamp was badly scraped (it’s powdercoated grey metal). It appeared that the movers hadn’t wrapped these items at all.
I purchased insurance from Camelot Movers with a $ 500 deductible in connection with the move. When I submitted the claim for the aforementioned items, initially, Rebekah and Billy Kornfield, the owners of this company, were friendly and were amenable to rectifying the problem. I provided photographs, proof of current prices, etc., but I did not have receipts for the items because they are several years old. They were able to go online, however, and, using my photographs, identify the products that way. Additionally, I stated, under penalty of filing a false claim, the location where they were purchased and their purchase prices.
I reported the initial damage and eventually submitted the claim in or around November 2015. After repeatedly having to tell their claims person, Carolyn, that I did not have actual receipts because I’ve had them so long. Well, just days ago (end of January 2016), I get a late-​evening email from Carolyn stating that the used prices for the keyboard runs around $ 300 – 400 (WTF? Mine was in brand new condition and was bought on Amazon, not from the crappy music store they used as their source) and that she cannot establish the lamp’s value because CB2 discontinued it (despite me calling CB2 and getting the SKU and price from them and forwarding it to Carolyn). She then tells me what they’d be willing to give me, but UNFORTUNATELY the number is less than the deductible on the insurance I purchased, so they’re not paying anything.
I nearly blew a gasket when I received that email. How do you destroy people’s property, INSURED property and especially expensive property, and then state that you’re not doing anything about it because the property owner doesn’t have a receipt??? I mean, what if there was a fire, you just threw out the receipt, or what if it was some custom or antique piece from long ago for which you never had a receipt??? How convenient that they believe this allows them to be off the hook for any compensation whatsoever. I’m a lawyer, and, though not litigious, I am considering filing a small claims lawsuit to recover the reasonable value of the damaged items.
***UPDATE*** The owner of the company, Billy Kornfeld, offered $ 220 to settle my damage claim, notwithstanding the deductible on the insurance, which he admitted was never explained to me. I appreciate his willingness to work with me on this issue, even though I don’t think that $ 220 reflects the reduction in value of the items that were damaged (especially since I let other damaged items slide during previous moves because overall I was so pleased with the service). In any event, I’m amending my one-​star rating to three stars, because I appreciate the effort, but I think Billy needs to work on his staff’s communication and the way the insurance issue is sold and explained. I also could have done without the months-​long runaround to get to this point. Nonetheless, Billy was very kind, and I’d still recommend them over other moving companies I’ve used.
