I generally just check Unilocal for other people’s reviews, but am compelled to write my first ever review after my visit to SCENT yesterday. From the moment I made my first call I had a good impression and good feeling. The girl I spoke to on the phone and made my appointment though (Natalie I believe) answered all my questions and scheduled my appointment promptly. I could not believe I could get in within 2 days for an appointment. I traveled 1 hour and 30 minutes to the Valencia office from Bakersfield. It was well worth the travel. The girls at the front desk were courteous and the waiting room was comfortable. My appointment was at 3:00PM and I was in the room and meeting with the doctor at 2:40! I met with Stacey G. and immediately felt comfortable and that I finally found someone who cares and wants to help (this after I’d been to numerous doctors, urgent cares, and another ENT who claimed simple allergies when I’ve been having face/​ear pain and a sense of off balance.)She took a whole history and offered her expertise. The Audiologist was friendly and the hearing test was very thorough and advanced. I was very impressed with the amount of time and dedication spent. I met with Stacey again after my hearing test and she even brought in another doctor-​Dr. Vadapalli. He asked me several questions and offered his expertise! He was very knowledgable about the ears/​migraines and even the correlation between hormone levels and ear problems. It was concluded that my problem is occurring from migraines. Now I’ll admit that that was not what I was wanting to hear because I have been having ear/​sinus problems and an off balance/​swaying sensation for over a year. A prescription was also ordered during the visit. I thought about this my whole long drive home and just was kind of upset because I really wanted them to find something wrong with my ears or my sinuses so I can get relief and finally have answers. Once I got home I jumped online and sure enough I found tons and tons of research and other people stories of them having ear and balance problems associated with vestibular migraines. I finally feel like I might be on the right track to getting my life back.

Doctor Saadat is a really nice guy but after one septo plasty and one rhino plasty, my breathing is still constricted. He said he was going to reduce the turbinates and he never did because after one year and a half of recovery, I went to another doctor and he said they were never touched. I’m really disappointed and depressed because I really don’t want to go through that recovery period again. It was a nightmare.

I had my tonsils removed and turbenites repaired by Dr. Amolis and I am very pleased with how everything went. The surgery was a breeze; mostly due to the gentle and excellent bedside manner provided by the nurses and anesthesiologist. I was really nervous but they set my mind at ease. When I woke up from surgery I felt bright and alert with no nausea whatsoever, and was able to eat two popsicles and mushy crackers within minutes of waking up. I could have walked out of there feeling like a million bucks but of course I used a wheelchair to abide by rules. During the recovery process the pain reached some pretty high levels but I wasn’t in discomfort for long because I had hydrocodone. I ran out after 6 days but the office was prompt in refilling my prescription. Now it is exactly 2 weeks later and I feel great, my throat barely hurts at all, it maybe feels a little tired as if ive been yelling a lot but that’s it. I’m back to my normal activities. I would highly recommend this practice to people. Getting out my tonsils was way easier and more pleasant than wisdom teeth! I think I can thank the staff at SC. ENT for that.

FOR ALL THOSE READING REVIEWS. There are a few mediocre reviews here addressed about other doctors in the same office. This page is specifically for Dr. Saadats patients/​clients. Not all the doctored of Santa Clarita ENT
My parents and I have been seeing Dr. Saadat for many years and yes there have been plenty of times where we have waited for 20 – 45 minutes but that is the risk you take when choosing an ENT that specializes in Facial plastic surgery and handles facial traumas that come into the local hospital. If you want someone that has a very basic schedule you should probably be going to an MD that is not a facial plastic surgeon and in surgery when not seeing patients in office. I love knowing that my doctor is so versatile and can handle anything that happens to my face lol!
Dr. Saadat removed a cyst out of my face and you can’t even try to fine where he did such an amazing job! He also saw me for a fractured nose and did my tonsil & adenoidectomy as well as fixed my deviated septum YEARS ago and I haven’t had a single problem since. My mom is having an eye lid surgery as we speak he took 30 minutes drawing out her eyes and taking time to make sure it was perfect before starting the procedure. Although my mom has been seeking out this surgery for years instead of being knife happy and $ hungry like many plastic surgeons he was honest with my mom and had her wait until he thought it was time and necessary to have the procedure done. Not many doctors would do that.
I remember coming out of my throat and sinus surgery scared crying a bit and dr Saadat was holding my hand and reassuring me I was ok and I did great. Not many doctors now of days have the type of bed side manor to be professional and phenomenal at what they do while also taking care of you as a human as well.
As far as insurance goes people need to make sure they are covered by the doctor they want to see and that the doctor is in their network before going to a doctors office which avoids the whole billing nightmare later I’ve found!

So not worth it to come here. Have been waiting 45 min for my appt., still waiting, they told me they are 20 min behind, waiting room is full of people. Front desk personal seems very dull and unfriendly, uncaring. Check in is by ipad and way too many questions, even that takes longer than checking in at any other doctors. Not sure why we have to make appt when they seem to never be able to keep their time. I came here twice, but unless you have nothing else to do all day, this will take up half your day for sure! Wishing whoever comes here a ton of patients, dont expect much.

Dr. Saadat is laughs. Great comic relief. The kind of guy you feel comfortable with.
That is, when you can catch him. He is generally 45 – 60 minutes late to his appointments. So plan for that.
The night before my surgery I had cold feet and he spoke with me at great length to reassure me about the operation. I ended up going through with it and am SO glad I did! The whole procedure went very well. The nurses and staff were so great. He even called me afterwards to check up on me.
The only thing is, getting in to see him for a follow up takes forEVER. Bring a good book. A long book. Like, «War and Peace.» Because you will be waiting. A very. Long. Time.
But he is worth it.

Worst office ever! They don’t return phone calls at all. The nurse will just tell you she never got your message. First they didn’t fax over my prescription for an MRI. I called for 2 days before I went down the office and stood there with my daughter to get it. Now I have been trying all day trying to get medication for my shingles pain they have been treating. Well nurse never got my messages again, and the doctors are gone for the weekend, so my choices are to wait until Monday or go to Urgent Care and pay more money to get what I need.
Another bad experience I had through all this was that they scheduled an appointment to read my MRI results, but the results had not come in. First, they could have called to tell me that and reschedule the appointment before I came in. Second, when I went to leave, they tried to bill me for the appointment! All I did there was get told they don’t have my results yet. I spoke to the manager, and she told me to go ahead, and I didn’t need to pay, but seriously!!!

I have been very impressed with Dr. Vadapalli!!! He has been wonderful for both of my young boys! He has such a great bedside manner and has delt with my two kids so well that I won’t go anywhere else! From emergencies to surgeries, I feel very confident in his care!
There was some confusion on how the front handled a situation recently (otherwise I would give them 5 stars), but as soon as I contacted Cheryl (the practice administrator), she was very understanding and I really appreciate how she handled the situation!

My husband was referred to this office for bleeding in his ear. He was told the bleeding in his ear he was 99% sure was cancer he would do a biopsy and all would be fine. It had been two weeks and we heard nothing so thinking that is unusual I call our primary Doctor to see if the referral was even put in and come to find out no not right away and the day I called it go approved. There is no sense of urgency at all.
Disappointment #2
My husband had to run an unexpected errand for me before his appointment so I called to say he would be just a couple minutes late right away the office girl Jessica snapped he cant be any more than 15 minutes late. I said I feel bad he is never late which I know upsets him then to boot he has office meetings first thing at work so I asked if there would be a long wait before he gets seen? It is a biopsy. She replied there is no way to know that. When he gets here we will call him in??? You know when it seems someone hates their job! Well this was the feeling I got from this girl and that is a shame. I was as nice as pie and still told her how nice she was, thinking maybe that will ignite some kindness in her!

My husband just came back from just trying to make an appointment and the head desk staff lady was OVER THE TOP RUDE!!! When he gets in to see the Doctor this week, we are going to let him know about this. After reading all of the reviews it sounds like we are not the only ones that have had this experience. How horrible it is to be rude to clients when they are sick and or afraid of a possible chronic illness! SHAME ON THE FRONT DESK STAFF!!!

Their billing Dept. Is Horrible!!! We were there for an appointment and they said we owed a bill from two years prior! We never received a bill from them… We just received the bill from last appt. Seven months later! Stating we owed $ spoke to the Insurance Co. They were paid on the claim… So beware!!! Do your homework before paying anything to them… Its a shame because Dr. V is great but will never go back.

Dr. Vadapalli is great but unfortunately they haven’t trained the front desk to politely and compassionately deal with sick patients.
That’s a God-​given gift perhaps that can’t be taught.
I’ve encountered some of the meanest front desk people, it’s quite astounding really.
I hope the doctors are reading these reviews so they know how off-​putting their front line is; I will be finding a new ENT even if I have to drive to LA.
You have to wonder what’s wrong with them that they would be so mean to someone who hasn’t harmed them in anyway. It’s so much easier to be kind.
Maybe find a profession where you’re not dealing with sick people seeking help.

Dr. Adam Friedman was professional, kind and very helpful. On every occasion the visits were thorough but swift (very time friendly). Dr. Friedman performed a wonderful surgery on my nose and the recovery has been quick and virtually painless, which is a testament to his ability. Nothing but smiles from this patient and I’m very thankful I was able to find this place and that doctor. I would suggest it to anyone searching for a quality experience.

To whom it may concern:
I am writing this email as more of a formal statement. About two weeks ago i went to see Dr. Sadaat for an allergy test consult, he informed me that i would be needing a test and possibly shots. I was content with his service as always since i have been coming to him since 2011. I asked him if he knew if my insurance would cover it and he said he wasn’t sure but pointed me in the direction of one of the front desk girls. I asked her an annoyingly amount of times if she could please call me if it wasn’t covered since i am a student and working part time and money is a bit tight. She assured me they would call before the procedure. I showed up a few days later for my test only to find out that i was going to be charged $ 300 and wouldn’t be seen if i didn’t pay. Well since i was having a terrible allergic reaction i was totally put on the spot and agreed. Even though i had requested to see the office manager who was «too busy» to even speak to me. They told me that they had tried calling me to tell me but i never once got a voicemail nor phone call especially since i live glued to my phone. To make matters worse my test was inconclusive so i got no answers. I left feeling utterly upset and now broke. I called my insurance who i have spoken to now twice and they still have no idea why i was charged so much and at least billed for that large amount. I then called Maria the billing lady and she gave me attitude and spoke to me like an idiot for not knowing how they charge people in their office. I guess all in all my true complaint is that they were flat out rude, unprofessional and clearly put in no effort in trying to contact me about the large bill i would receive. I love Dr sadaat but am so disappointed with his staff and whole office. I won’t be returning again and hope no one will have to go through the embarrassment of almost having to cancel an appointment for being ill equipped to know what the price would be for a damn test. I will make sure not to reccomend anyone to this office. One star only because my dr is so great. Unless money is coming out of your ass don’t bother coming here because the front desk people are rude and have no idea how to talk to people. Its all about how much money they can get from you here and give no explanation about charges you may encounter.

I had serious sinus problems due to my allergies. I would lose my sense of taste and smell for weeks at a time and Dr Amoils helped me to manage this. Based on several tests and severity and worsening of my condition, Dr Amoils recommended surgery. The surgery went very well and my recovery was in no time. I was back to work in 3 days. I am now able to breathe much better and don’t get sinus infections every few weeks. I am now getting allergy injections as well to help manage my allergies. Dr Amoils and the team at Santa Clarita ENT are amazing. Always very pleasant and I don’t have to wait long at all. Thank you! Now I can enjoy the outdoors without suffering afterwards for days. I highly recommend Dr Amoils.

My actual appointment was decent (other than I wasn’t pleased that I went to this doctor because he was covered by my insurance and the first thing the guy did was have me take a hearing test, which turned out to be performed by a person not covered by my insurance). While I was in the waiting room, however, a woman came screaming into the office demanding to see Dr. Amoils and insisting he had just punctured her ear drum. Oh, my goodness. They got her in fairly quickly to see him, but I was pretty worried because I was going to see him myself. So I was pretty tense, even though the doctor was pleasant during my (delayed due to the crisis) appointment. My issue was easily resolved, but I will not be going back if I ever need to see an ENT doc again.

Love this place — they are the reason I can breathe out of the right side of my nose now! I can’t say enough about Dr. Amoils. He is so friendly & thorough. I recommended him to my aunt & grandfather as well. My aunt’s surgery is tomorrow! The rest of the staff is also amazing. The only thing keeping it from being 5 stars instead of 4? I had two less than satisfactory experiences with two other doctors. But now I’ve found Dr. A. & it looks like the third try was the charm!

This place is a joke. Every time you call in you will get placed on hold immediately for a crazy amount of time. If you’re lucky, you can hang up and call back again and ask to be transferred to the billing department before they finish their sentence telling you you’re going on hold. Once you get to the billing department, without a doubt, you will be sent to voice mail. You will also probably have to leave 3 – 4 voice mails before you actually get a call back… a week after your fourth voice mail. Gina is the billing girl, she isn’t overly friendly and is awful about getting back, even when a person is trying to give them their money. I’d lose her and find a new worker fresh out of school for cheaper and who’s willing to work harder.

I was sick all the time, I had been fighting being sick with tons of antibiotics and finally I was led to Dr. Amoils. What a life saver, I had my tonsils removed and I am so much better. I was 36 years old so the recovery was not fun but Santa Clarita ENT staff was amazing. Everyone was always on top of it, little wait time for office visits, nurses on the phone were amazing also. Dr. Amoils is very kind and followed up right after the surgery with my husband and followed up w a phone call later that day. Thank you so much!
But it doesn’t stop there, my oldest son had his adenoids and tonsils removed 3 years ago at the age of 4 and my youngest just had the same thing done 2 weeks ago, just shy of 4. Both did great and same results for everyone. Our family is doing great.

The only reason I give 2 stars is because DeeDee gives THE BEST facials. Thamk goodness she can now be found at The Ivy Day Spa as well.
These doctors are some of the greediest I’ve encountered in my life. Two different doctors here have suggested surgeries for myself and my husband for issues that were remedied by other doctors without surgery!
Do yourself a favor and get a second opinion or skip this place all together.

Did not have a very good experience here. I came to see Dr. Friedman for severe ear aches and echoing in my ear. There’s a lot of potential problems but Dr. Friedman had everything so very wrong. He decided to put me on medications before even doing a hearing test, dragging me through medication that made me sick.
First I had Eustachian Tube Dysfunction which could have been from inflammation. So here, take these. Nope, didn’t work. Maybe it’s your jaw? Do you grind your teeth? TMJ? Yeah, take these. Nope. Hm, probably fluid in the ear. Let’s take some water pills. Nope. Hm, maybe it’s sinuses, here’s some steroids and nasal sprays? Nope? Huh. Let’s do a CT Scan to rule out everything. Well, that looks fine.
And almost $ 1000 later — Well, I finally said, can we do an audio test? (as a recommendation I got from someone online). Well, we did the test and look at that… The test showed no fluid in the ear. Well, maybe we should’ve done the audio test first? Okay…
So then he says «Oh, well it’s probably otosclerosis and unfortunately there’s nothing you can do but just keep an eye on it.»
He obviously just wanted to get me out because he didn’t have an answer for me.
I have ear aches every single damn day and he’s telling me to keep an eye on it? I was just being nice because I wanted to follow through to see what he would come up with but after that visit I said screw it and didn’t even want to deal with it.
As I got a second opinion from one of the top specialists at UCLA, he told me it doesn’t even make sense how he came up with otosclerosis from such little data. In fact, the audio test I did at the new facility was MUCH quieter and had much better equipment. Guess what? My test at the new facility was 100%. My hearing is completely fine, ruling out otosclerosis.
Not only that, Dr Friedman said my CT Scan was normal. WRONG. The specialist said I had an obvious amount of swelling in my right nasal area and that needed to be addressed, also. So what did conclude? That my issues were actually caused my TMJ (Friedman’s second possible diagnosis) but what friedman failed to do was check my jaw for tenderness and soreness. At UCLA, the pain I was feeling in my jaw was an obvious TMJ issue so I now have to see a specialist for my jaw which coupling with allergy medicine should clear my earaches.
I would not recommend this doctor for such advanced issues. If you think you have an ear infection or allergy problems, that’s one thing, but he didn’t seem to have a clue about eustachian tube dystfunction.
My problem with the doctor is as follows. If you aren’t 100% and you’re not sure about something, refer your patient to a specialist. It’s okay if someone knows more than you, but do NOT misdiagnose and drag your patients through a roller coaster of emotions because you can’t put your finger on what the issue is.
2 starts because the staff is nice and they let me know in advance what I was paying since I was a cash patient. Nice looking office otherwise.
