This office is FANTASTIC! From the moment I walked in the door everyone was so kind and fun and professional at the same time. It was one of the girls birthdays and the office was celebrating… not STIFF like a lot of other offices out there. It made it fun for us patients too! I got a lot of great information, an estimate for my work, and they have a great insurance plan for all of us out there who don’t have insurance. Oh, and they have IV sedation for scaredy-​cats like me!!! The best! I highly recommend based on only having been there once, but it was really a good first visit!

The entire office staff made a very scary trip, not so miserable at all. Super friendly, helpful, compassionate and profesional. I will recommend this office to everyone!

The only reason I return to this dentist is because of Doctor Fatahi. She is absolutely amazing. HOWEVER, I feel the girls at the front desk have no clue what customer service is. Every time I have an appointment I get there on time, sign in, then wait AT LEAST 20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge my existence. Please properly train the first employees people come into contact with in your office.

i have been a patient at dr zak dental since 1998 with no problems. my entire family has always been properly cared for. dr. rye is outstanding !! the office staff has always been great, especially jen. i was recently there for a cleaning, and a new person, trish also did an outstanding job! keep up the good work.

This review is for Zak Dental on Valencia Blvd. Really it’s for one specific dentist– female, Dr. F… Terrible.
My eight-​year-​old daughter came in for her first cavity filling. She was feeling nervous and asked if she could cover her eyes during the procedure. (She was typical eight-​year-​old nervous. Not crazy –tie to the chair –nervous. No tears. No whining.)
Dr. F came in and said that my daughter needed to have the $ 177 laughing gas otherwise she would be «traumatized». I hinted to the dentist that maybe my daughter could hear some reassuring words. I was certain that that was all she needed. The dentist said that that never works anyway, and she doesn’t want to «lie to the children.» (really?!? And Who asked her to lie??) My daughter is right there in the room so, again I say that many children get their fillings done without laughing gas and everything is just fine. She said that’s not how things are done at Zak dental — she said all children get laughing gas because it is less liability for them and less painful and traumatizing for children (again, in front of my child). Then she reluctantly says that she will «give it a try» as a courtesy to me. Ummmm, no thanks. I don’t need a lazy, insensitive dentist (who is probably dying to prove me wrong) to get anywhere near my child. I said I was leaving and I would try to find a dentist who has more experience working with children. She said, I do work with children. And I said, yes, but only the unconscious ones. We walked out.
(and yes, I know that children are not really unconscious — just «unaware» as dr f corrected)
Not a place for «aware» children in my opinion.
In response to your statement that «my depiction is inaccurate and unfair», I would say that you need to gather the facts. I did not say that Zak dentals policy is to always give laughing gas to children, I said that dr Fatarhi said that was your policy. From the second she walked in, she did not smile, greet, or speak to my daughter. She said not one reassuring word to her. What kind of dentist would use the words «traumatized», «pain», and «lie» in front of an 8 year old patient who is having their first cavity filled!!! My daughter was normal 8 year old nervous, but I was not. I fully understand the risks and rewards for the use of laughing gas and I believe the parent should choose what is best for the child they know best. But your dentist, was trying to bully me and scare my daughter into paying the $ 177 fee for the gas– which I would pay if I truly thought she needed it. I’m not going to pay it just because its easier for your lazy dentist to deal with unaware children. I have since found many other dentists who have an excellent reputation for working with actual «aware» children and take the extra time to smile and greet them and make them feel at ease.
I can say that after sharing my experience on social media, many, many other people in the scv have shared with me their horrific experiences with Zak Dental. We wonder how you are still in business– but I guess we now know that’s it’s due to your Dr F’s scare tactics and upselling of laughing gas — among other things.

Excellent customer Family oriented and very clean. Staff took the time to make me feel welcomed. It’s a facility that I will recommend to my coworkers because From the moment I called, it has been a great experience. Everyone has been so friendly, helpful and kind. The quality of service is top notch.

Rudest receptionist ever. I had my dental plan change my provider before I ever made my first appointment. Their first available appointment was 3 weeks away although I explained I was in pain. While I was trying to schedule she suddenly said she had to call me back, took my phone number, then never called back. I wouldn’t trust a dentist who hires someone like that to represent their practice

The staff at Dr. Zak’s is great! Everyone is friendly and happy to help. I took my dad in for an exam and the Dr. Fatahi took great care of us. I highly recomend them!

I been going to Zak dental for a year now. The staff are friendly and all that, but all they care is for your money, they nicely putting you in the position where you want to do a work with them and pay them for something that should not be done. They made me do something that ruined my all entire mouse.

Their new office is amazing. It has state of the art equipment. Their staff is very friendly. there will be wait at times but overall great experience.
