Evolation Yoga

this review is only for Evolation name. I signed membership with the original owner Sylvana and never had a problem. Ones evolution took over, everything went down … First, they started charging me 125 $ a month when it was 99 $ only for all new customers. After the complain it got fixed. But then on 11\03/15 I got notified they closed the location… well they didn’t send prior notice and I got charged full month of membership on October 25^th … a week before it closed. Why would you charge your customers if you know it? On top of that, all «old» members pre-​paid last month with auto-​debit package, so I paid two month worth of membership at closed studio =/​… I’ve been in contact with Manager Mike Drost who said I will get refund but now is not answering on my e-​mails …
Did anybody else have this problem? I will be filing report with BBB so wonder if you guys have any tips …

I started going to Evolation yoga since July and I really enjoy taking classes at this location! I work out with Cindy she is amazing and is one of the best instructors I ever worked out with. Her classes are always full, the class is impressive at all levels. The owner of evolation is very friendly and welcomes all her customers to the practice And talks at all of us. Very friendly and tranquil environment. The facilities are user friendly and my classmates are great! Come to Evolation Yoga and sweat up an awesome workout.

Finally, the real deal hot bikram style yoga in scv! Love this studio. It’s very clean, does not smell sweaty at all. Bathrooms/​showers are bright and open. Teachers are kind, yet motivating. You need a little push when it’s 100 degrees during your workout! Highly recommend if you can take the heat :)

I am so happy that I found Evolution yogo here in santa clarita, ca. I am spending the year here from Las Vegas with my daughter and family. I have been attending Bikram’s hot yoga in Vegas and now I am able to continue my practice here in Volencia. I am 71 years young and love that yhe studio is slow paced and they have warm 60 monute classes. Just right for older genaration.
I love it.

I really love this studio– having gone to the other hot studio in this town, this is by far the best place to practice. The facility is clean, bright with ample dressing rooms– big clean showers (the other hot yoga studio in town has no showers???) and a state of the art heating system. The atmosphere and staff are laid back, helpful and pleasant.
The yoga teachers are well informed and highly experienced– I feel rather fortunate to have top level teachers guiding through my practice. I especially enjoy the Vinyasa Flow classes taught by Nancy and Susan. BUT again all the teachers here are really good. Classes are fun, tough and challenging.
It’s a great place if you are new to yoga or have had a long standing practice.

I’ve never had a yoga studio membership before but I’m so glad I got one with evolation! They have great teachers who are very helpful and conduct incredibly rewarding sessions. I highly recommend them.

I couldn’t agree more to the above post. This place is terrible & I will never give them another dime. I used to be a member of this studio under the previous ownership. The studio was ok at that time. I had a 3 month auto debit membership. When they changed ownership half way through my 3 month contract– I was told repeatedly that my prior membership would be honored. That would have been a wise idea because the new owners walked into a pretty solid and loyal patron base and good business sense would tell you not to jeopardize that. However, they thought it would be a good idea to keep charging all the prior patrons $ 125/​month unlimited and let all the new customers get $ 99/​month. BAD idea. How could they possibly think this was fair? I let that slide but when I noticed that I was auto charged an extra $ 125 by the new owners they were very rude and fought with me. Charlie told me there was no way they would give me my money back and was told «good luck finding a better yoga studio in town.» Well so I ended up going to my credit union and filing credit card fraud, had to completely change my card # to avoid them charging me again (at this point I had lost ALL trust in evolation) and the best part is that all this lead to me finding an absolutely amazing studio in town (NOT evolation). I believe in karma and that everything happens for a reason. I don’t wish anything bad on anyone, but I am not surprised to find this place getting 1 star reviews since 0 isn’t really an option. I don’t know if people are used to being treated like this in Santa Barbara where they have another studio, but that ego-​centric, better-​than-​thou attitude does not fly here!

I love hot yoga and there are not many to chose from in Santa Clarita. I purchased the one month trial at Evolution in Valencia last month. I was not impressed, it was some of the most boring classes I’ve ever taken. The teachers may have 500 hours of training but that does not make them good teachers. I left and never planned to come back. Well the other studio didn’t have an available class time today so I thought I would try Evolution again. What a waist of $ 20 for a class, it was terrible. If you would like to hear the word Go a 100 times and sit in a warm not hot room then that’s the place. I have never left a group class before but today I left. I walked right out, I know very rude to the other patroons but I could not make it to the end. All I can say is you are a new gig in town and need to step it up. You need music, good energy and a consistent teaching style or you won’t stay open in this town… Sorry.
