Food quality has gone down since new ownership. Beef spicy tofu soup is watered down and no flavor. It’s not even spicy. Kimchi also taste different than before. It’s a shame. Wishing a new Korean food spot will pop up in scv because my go to spot is not the same.

I am currently in the restaurant and the servers are very nice, but the food is terrible. I had #22 the beef soup and all they did was put bbq beef in water boil it and added cabbage and onions. I tasted it and decided that this is food not meant for humans My wife ordered beer, she like to have beer and it wasn’t cold, it was warm beer. Honestly if your gonna offer beer it should be at least cold, i understand not ice cold i get it but it wasn’t cold it was like they just pulled it out of the box and gave it to me. The servers once again were nice, its not their fault, but the management must be an issue.

Update: I decided to come back here because I heard the owners changed. This place was terrible back then and is still terrible with the new owners. Just AWFUL. Been sitting here for Mother’s day and everyone at my table got their food and they had me waiting for an hour for mine. No apologies whatsoever, and when I asked to cancel my order, I was told that it was almost finished and that I could not cancel. Wait… What? You have me waiting for an hour and I can’t cancel my order when my whole family is done eating already? Terrible service and terrible attitude. I will never be coming back. FYI: I am Korean.

We are so disappointed with this place now because of the new owner. Our favorite Squid dish and seafood tofu soup don’t tatse the same. We have been loyal customers with the old owner the Korean brothers for years now. The younger brother and his mother always welcomed us and cooked our favorite dish(the squid dish) for us all the time. We can tell the food here is no longer authentic as its name Korean Tofu House. For those who can dishtinguish between Korean dishes would know what I mean. Its hard to find a good Korean Tofu soup restaurant around Valencia. This will be the last time we are here.

This place used to be the best. But now with the owner change its not as good. Every time I come here it is just a disappointment. The workers are very inexperienced and serve you very slowly. The tofu soup literally just tastes like water and spicy seasoning. I try to come back for a better experience, because I love Korean food, but am let down every time.

This used to be the go-to place with me and my boyfriend. We were here so often that Chris, the previous owner’s son would know us so well! I grew up in Korea and surrounded by older generation women who made awesome authentic food. Prior to change in management/ownership their kimchi and rest of their food was the bomb. I want to say it’s pretty comparable to a good korean food you find on streets of Seoul. Their kimchi now tastes like salt with red coloring. The flavor of the tofu soups were gone, including their dukbokgi. I was mortified to see how watery and bland their dukbokgi was. Omg! It’s a huge disappointment because I used to love this place. So, bland food with higher prices. Yup, that’ll really make me lose my appetite for sure.

My go-to Korean place in Valencia. I have been coming here with my family for so long that the chefs know us by name, know our orders by heart, and without fail, always stop by the table to have a chat. It feels like I’m being served by good friends here, instead of strangers. However, I know there has been a switch in ownership but the food quality is still good. On the outside, the restaurant doesn’t look like much, but once you step inside, it feels like you’re in an Asian family kitchen, which I really like. The recipes churn out consistently delicious dishes. Their side dishes always excite me, especially the creamy potato salad and japchae. The kimchi is well-marinated and has a great crunch. These are my favorite dishes: Spicy Squid — Squid is chewy and smothered in delicious sweet, spicy Korean sauce. Pan-fried charred flavor elevates the taste. Rice Cake and Dumpling Soup: Light, refreshing soup. Lots of dumplings that don’t have fatty bits packed inside(which I prefer) and has a depth in flavor. The rice cake adds a chewy texture to the otherwise soft and crunchy ingredients. Tofu Soup — Flavorful. Kimchi doesn’t have a weird aftertaste and is crunchy and tangy. Tastes great when mixed with rice.

We went by for takeout. Pretty good food and the waiter giving us the takeout was super nice. Will definitely need to dine in next time to explore their menu.

This place has one thing in the menu that is just super tasty called the shredded beef plate with tofu on the side. Any type of tofu soup is good and hen you have that plate with the shredded thinly sliced cooked beef. Absolutely satisfying and in a great environment. The service by the owners is great but the server Asian dude is a liar on recommendations. Go with my suggestion and get the shredded beef combo with tofu soup and you got yourself a deal guaranteed. Everything else is mediocre. But the beef and soup alone is unbelievable.

Im going to preface this review stating that I am Korean and spend a great deal of time in koreatown. I’m going to try and be as objective as possible. I’m relatively new to Valencia and sometimes craving some Korean food but it’s such a hassle to cook a whole meal for just me and my 4 year old. Based on reviews, we decided to try this place tonight. We ordered the kalbi for my son and I got the regular bibimbap with beef. Before we get to the food, I have to mention that this place is really expensive. At least the portion of the bibimbap was generous but the kalbi was so thin and small for $ 20ish including tax. And now for the food. Everything is really salty. I find that Korean places that cater more to Non-Koreans tend to be heavier on the salt but it’s really salty for me. My bibimbap came and I had to ask for rice. Then I asked for sauce(gochujang) and he brought me soy sauce. Basically, the server doesn’t know what the heck he’s serving. Which gets us to general service and cleanliness. Like I said, server didn’t know what sauce to bring with my order. He was nice but a little confused. Then I asked for scissors to cut my sons kalbi and it was all sticky and dirty. Ugggggh. The restaurant overall appeared clean though. Overall, I guess it’s not so bad that we wouldn’t ever come back in a pinch but I wouldn’t rave about it. Mediocre, at best.

Our family used to love this place. After management change taste different. 1. Spicy soups looks fine but taste raw vaggies n hot water with red color. 2.Tufu soup taste water n spicy pepper. 3. Price is high for quality and taste. 4. Now our families have to go ktown for korean food. 5. Our family miss previous owner taste.

It breaks my heart to give this place a 2 stars review. This place used to be awesome, USEDTOBE. I think they had a change in management or something and this place changed. We used to love the tofu soup, now everytime we come here it would taste like hot water with red food coloring. Service here used to be really good, the young guy that used to work here makes you feel like you want to keep coming back. now the lady that answers the phone irritates the crap out of me, I mean how hard is it to understand pork cutlet, but she just keeps saying combo, rice? WTF those words doesn’t even sound like pork or cutlet.

This is my go to place during my lunch to enjoy some authentic Korean food. I usually get the lunch bbq short ribs, or tofu soup option. The meat is always flavorful and cooked well, with generous portions of meat(not charred/burnt like most places), and the soup is always so flavorful(not watery like other places). Service is great as well! As for the price, yes it is more than other«lunch special» places, but you get your money’s worth! All that yummy side dishes(ban chan) and delicious fresh food is worth the money! This place is just as good as those in koreatown! Thank you!

Legit but kiiinda pricey, like a tad. I stopped in for a late lunch yesterday and there were only 1 – 2 tables being occupied. Good amount of tables for parties of 4, if you go in a larger group I imagine you’d need multiple tables. Anyway, service was good, non intrusive and eye contact on the regular so I got extra napkins when needed. I ordered the lunch combo(lunch served until 3pm on the daily, including weekends!): Beef kalbi(short rib) and seafood tofu soup, mild. The mild was perfect! If I moved up another notch it would’ve been too spicy for me. If you are sensitive to spicy foods, recommend sticking to not spicy here. The ribs were cooked well, not too chewy and served on a sizzling platter over a bed of sliced onions. The tofu soup was tasty! A raw egg served on the side cooked perfectly once I got it into the pot. Sidenote, you’ll have to peel the shrimp as it is served with head and all. Banchan was decent, my favorites were the jap chae(glass nodes), cucumbers and potato salad. Initially they didn’t bring out fish cake so I had to ask if they had any, which they did. Sadly, while that’s my favorite out of the lot, I didn’t care for it here. A bit pricey but overall I’ll definitely have this tofu house in rotation whenever eating locally. I’m most likely to come during lunch to save myself $ 5 and parking during non peak hours is easiest. Meal came out to $ 16 and some change, almost $ 20 including tip.

Korean BBQ& Lee’s Tofu House is the new name of what was once the So Kong Dong Tofu House Korean BBQ family owned restaurant that my family often went to. Under new ownership as of November 2015, they still have the same prices for the same menu offered. I ordered my typical vegetable chop chae, BBQ beef and BBQ beef ribs and it was pretty much the same with minor minor dryness and texture differences but the taste is 99% on point. Wasn’t as busy inside as usual for a Sunday night but the phones were ringing for take out. Prices are a tad pricey but the food is authentic.

Delicious! I love the boiling tofu soup, the egg cooks in the pot which is awesome, and their bulgogi beef pairs great! The rice bowls are equally as great but the tofu soup is too good to pass up next time.

We were just passing through on our way home, and stopped in here for some dinner. The restaurant is clean, and the staff are friendly. We all ordered tofu soup, and it was pretty good. The appetisers were not bad. I prefer the rice also be served in a hot stone bowl, since I like that crisp rice at the edges. It was still good though. I would definitely come back again if in the area.

Husby and I had a hankering for Korean barbeque lunch. Restaurant counter and staff workers give customers a fast food look and feel. Service is rushed and detached. We came after the lunch rush at 2:30 pm. No one there but three tables of two customers each. When the Korean barbeque dishes come out of the kitchen, they are made-to-order, piping hot, and restaurant quality. Work on a warmer and more attentive customer service. Customers want to leave satisfied and relaxed.

Cold and breezy early fall equals a craving for some combination tofu soup with a creamy yolk in a spicy broth. Hidden gem in Santa Clarita. The combo comes with slightly pickled cucumber, seaweed with clams, potato salad and Kimchi. Better value for lunch be a lot for one to eat for dinner. I’d suggest grabbing an appetizer and splitting with a date. Boom.
