Watanabe Steven K DDS

Dr. Watanabe has been my family dentist for years. He is the best. His work is seriously perfect, I rarely ever feel pain after cavity fillings or anything else I need done. I trust him completely!
My boyfriend went to him after going to completely sketchy, possibly fraudulent dentist. His filling had airbubbles his crown popped off. He couldn’t eat hard or cold foods. Dr. Watanabe fixed it all flawlessly. He can eat anything now. He’s so grateful, as am I. We will never go to any other dentist again. I always brag that I have strong teeth, which is all thanks to him. I’ve never had a problem, and neither have any of my family members. The only time we have teeth complaints is when we have to go to someone else for oral surgeries. I would even trust Watanabe to do those, if he would let me. Clearly my family and my boyfriend only have bad experiences anytime we have to go somewhere but Watanabe.
He is the greatest, and the ONLY dentist I TRUST.

Dr. Watanabe is WORLD CLASS! For the first time since my childhood I had a cavity and he just took care of it WITHOUT ANY PAIN! His staff is organized and kind as well and remebered I had kids recently and everything. 1^st class dentistry!

Don’t even bother going to other dentists… Dr. Steven Watanabe will give you the BEST, most attentive, honest dental care! I highly recommend him for the Valencia/​Santa Clarita area as the GO-​TO dentist. He’s usually open weekdays and weekends by appointment.
I needed consultation for my implant/​crown process due to some confusing conflicts with my current dental office. Dr. Watanabe took the time to thoroughly explain the current dental practices and what different options I have for implanting my crowns.
He and his wife, Denise, were very professional and friendly from the beginning to the end of my consultation. I appreciate his frank honesty as he didn’t try to upsell me anything and had my best interests in mind! If I lived in SoCal, I would stick with Dr. Watanabe! Too bad I could only consult with him.

The first honest and no nonsense dentist I have ever met. Dr. Watanabe saved me thousands of dollars of unnecessary work that had been recommended to me by a less honest dentist. Watanabe motto is «The less work we have to do the better it is for your teeth.» Nice to meet a dentist who puts patient over profit.

I first went to Dr. Watanabe because my upper molar was bothering me.
I’ve been postponing it because I dreaded seeing a dentist, let alone a new one.
I am so glad I decided to see Dr. W. because everything was so organized and painless and quick!
1. Dr W did not trying to sell me things I didn’t need. He asked me what the problem was, took Xrays at the problem area and worked from there. Basically I needed a root canal on the upper molar.
(Another slick dentist tried to sell me a 5000-​dollar package for my whole mouth, but he wouldn’t even dare to work on my problem molar and referred me to an endodontist for the procedure. That’s just seemed fishy to me so I re-​started my search and found Dr. W.).
2. The root canal by Dr. W. was painless (other than a tired jaw, I did not feel a thing)
(I’ve had root canal years ago and it was horrible. Pain-​twinge the whole time, it was an ordeal. So I thought I was walking into a torture chamber this time and I was wrong! Perhaps my former now-​deceased dentist was just really bad at root canals but what did I know? I thought all root canals had to hurt!)
Dr. W. gave me three injections at very specific spots. It seemed that he really knew where to insert the pain-​killing numbing Novocaine injections. Even the injections themselves did not hurt!
BTW, I’ve heard that molar root canals are toughest because molars have triple root endings which was why the slick-​yet-​wussy dentist above did not even dare to touch it. But Dr W. took care of it in 90 mins flat just like he said he would.
It’s just awesome. Thank you Dr. W!

No lies – Dr. Watanabe is THE BEST dentist in the Santa Clarita Valley. I’ve been going to him since I was a child, and even when my dental insurance changed, I decided to spring for a dental PPO so I could still go to him. Why do I love him so?
1. He’s friendly. so nice, so humble. As is his lovely staff. His main hygienist (I’m sorry I don’t know her name!) is very gentle, but thorough during routine cleanings. The ladies in the office are always happy to help you schedule your next appointment and are good about sending out reminder cards and making courtesy phone calls to remind you of impending appointments.
2. He’s FAST. For routine cleanings, I can expect to be in and out of the office in 40 minutes or less. I rarely have to wait in the waiting room or in the chair for more than a minute or two for someone on his staff to move things along. I’ve been to other dentists that were so over-​booked that I literally sat in the chair with equipment still in my mouth for over 20 minutes while the dentist was checking in with other clients. That has never happened to me at Dr. Watanabe’s office.
3. He’s reasonably priced and works with your budget. My PPO covers my routine cleanings, but sometimes I still pay out of pocket for X-​rays or fillings. A quick phone call to them and they will set you up on a payment plan.
It’s no wonder you have to schedule cleanings 6 months in advance (or sometimes 7 – 8 months in advance). He’s popular, but again, he doesn’t overbook himself. You get careful, personalized attention. I can’t recommend him enough. I always keep his business card in my wallet for whenever friends ask for recommendations!

My entire family has been going to Dr. Watanabe for the past 20 years. He and all of his staff are extremely professional, competent, and friendly. We have always felt well taken care of at this dental office. I even convinced my husband to become a patient despite living 45 minutes away! We will continue to visit Dr. Watanabe for all of our dental needs and recommend that others looking for a dentist contact the office given he is currently accepting new patients. Because of Dr. Watanabe and his wonderful staff, I actually enjoy going to the dentist!
