Bill’s Yard Clean Up & Hauling

Bill turned out to be flaky and a thief. He agreed to haul and dispose of sod and to make the job easier for him I offered that he just load my 3 –20 gallon containers, 1 city if Vallejo green yardwaste bin and 2 — 5 gallon home depot buckets
Into his truck and to just bring them back the next day after he dumped out the sod. Well he never brought them back and I had to call him to find out when he would bring them back and he had an excuse for not bringing them back and then agreed upon time but said he would bring them later that day… And again he never showed up and did not call and did not answer when I called. I had already given him a check for the work and now will be stopping that check come Monday morning. I did give him ample time to call, drop the bins off and I did tell him the check will be stopped if I don’t hear from hi by today (the work was done Friday late afternoon)
. To bad really… I was hoping he would’ve berofessional about the whole thing. He could’ve had the chance to get some other work and word of mouth referrals… Now it will have to be complaints to BBB, police report, poor reviews and again Bill check. Never again Bill… If that it’s even your real name.

Bill agreed to clean our yard and then never showed up (I took the day off from work). He then never returned my calls on that day, nor did he subsequently contact me. Lacks professionalism. Don’t hire him.

I changed my review from a 5-​star to a 1-​star. The day after Bill did our yardwork, he agreed to help with installing our new sink. He was supposed to come the next morning at 9am. My boyfriend and I both had the day off so we waited and waited. It was past the agreed time and we kept calling him– but he wouldn’t answer his phone. We ended up having to find someone else to do the job. Bill never showed up and he never tried to contact us after the millions of vmails and text messages we left.
Recently, we decided to try and give him another chance. I got in touch with him and set an appt for him to come by and do some work at 10am. He ended up texting me at 9:45am saying his babysitter called in sick so he had to reschedule for later in the day– 2:30/2:45. Ok, kinda ruined my morning plans but whatever. 2:30 came around. 2:45. 3:15. and he was a no show. Again, I called. texted. but no answer. He ended up never showing up and never calling me to explain or apologize. I was so upset. He is so unprofessional. IF YOU’RE GOING TO BE LATE OR WORSE, NOT EVEN SHOW UP, AT LEAST LET THE CLIENT KNOW. I would not recommend him. That’s the last time I’ll ever ask him to do anything for us.

Great service! We just moved into a new spot and the backyard needed some major yard cleanup. He came and gave us a free quote, which was actually very reasonable, and ended up doing the job that same day! He also hauled away all the boxes and trash we had from moving. When we found out he was more than just a landscaper we had him come into our house to check out some things we had questions about. He helped us out a lot! We will definitely be calling him back to do more work. We highly recommend! Very friendly and professional service. Thanks bill!

I have to change my review of Bill’s Yard Clean Up from a 5-​star to a 1-​star. Why? Because he mistakenly took our rake and left his clippers. I’ve called him 8 times since and he won’t return my calls! I left a message that his clippers were hidden near our front door. At some point he came by to get the clippers but didn’t leave our rake.
I’ll give Bill back the stars when he gives me back my rake.

I found Bill on craigslist, but was so pleased with his service that I thought I should share him with the Unilocal community.
Bill trimmed a nasty, unruly tree in the back corner of our yard, then hauled all the debris away, along with a LOT of ivy I had cut earlier and did it all for an extremely fair price. He even trimmed back another plant at no extra charge. Did I mention that he also swept off our patio?
I highly recommend Bill’s tree trimming and yard clean up service.
Besides tree trimming and yard clean-​up, he also does fencing, sod, sprinkler systems, cement, brick and stone work. I can’t speak to those services … yet.
PS Bill lives in Vallejo but is available on weekends in San Francisco.
