Computer Valet offers affordable on-​site computer care, including hardware and software troubleshooting, wireless, networking, and the always dread virus/​spyware/​adware recovery. (Take some free advice: ALWAYS have valid antivirus software unless you never, ever go online. You know what we techies call connected Windows machines without it? Infected.)

We also offer PC maintenance services: computer office organization, optimization, cleanup, backup, etc.

Data services are a specialty, whether it’s online data search and retrieval, or business software data extraction and manipulation.

Expert in digital multimedia, audio production, recording and editing, as well as streaming media and image processing, both video and still.

History

Established in 1983.

Computer Valet started out as (and sometimes still goes by) Rent-​a-​Nerd, in Boulder, Colorado. Its mission since the start has been to offer affordable computer care to individuals and small businesses.

When the web came into its own in the mid ‘90s, we saw its potential and branched out into internet, web design and site maintenance. Over the next five years, CV used its radio connections to jump into CBT (computer-​based training) and WBT (web-​based training), as well as streaming audio, and when it appeared, streaming video.

We have since specialized in on-​site repair and maintenance, but still offer a wide array of computer-​based services.

Business Owner

I spent 20 years in radio, as a music and program director. As Music Director, when the first PC’s came out, the business staff was only too happy to spring for one for Programing to get us off the mainframe where the financials were stored. It was love at first sight. I couldn’t get enough of it, learning all i could as fast as possible.

By the time I left radio, I’d become the de facto techie for the station, so it was an easy segue into tech work. I consulted with them for years after that, and have been fixing and maintaining computers and small business networks ever since.
