I’m so happy I found a hair salon. Inner beauty source is very professional and a fun place to get your hair and makeup done. They are ready for your appointment as soon as you walk in. The staff are friendly and they no just what your hair needs. I haven’t been to the shop in years, but that has changed now I found Inner Beauty. I came in for a color, cut, and style. My price was affordable and the end result made me feel good. I immediately scheduled my next appointment I will be getting my hair done every two weeks. I feel bad I forgot my stylist name, but I will right another review with her name in two weeks. This place is very girly with pink throughout. I love it and I’m proud to say I finally found a salon home.
I just wanted to edit this review and say Mariska is the stylist who did a great job on my hair.

I absolutely need more stars to rate this salon! I am super picky and very hard to please when it comes to letting someone style my hair. First of all the moment you walk in the door the shop has great energy. The ladies greet you with a smile. The salon is clean, cozy and contemporary designed.
Candra has talented and gifted hands as a beautician. My hair is natural and Candra worked a miracle on my head with the best wash & press that I’ve ever received, I mean ever!!! I was hesitant to get my ends trimmed but Candra was great at only clipping my dead ends and not giving me a hair cut. I griped about the price at first but trust me, it was worth every penny. Plus the tip!
I highly recommend Inner Beauty Source salon! The ladies are professional and timely. I went early in the morning on a weekday, so I was out under 3 hours. I even enjoyed the shop conversations. And the owner was nice to talk to too. I will definitely go back to get my hair done!

It’s not easy for me to give a 5 star right off top. However, Ms. Chandra has earned all 5 stars in my book. This is my second appointment and both time I left out pleased! !!! Not only was I happy about my hair but was impressed with her hospitality. All the ladies including regular clients made me feel comfortable from the moment you enter the door. Chandra greets you with a smile, gives you her undivided attention to determine what services she can provide.
It’s really refreshing to find a hair stylists that has a real concern about hair care/​maintenance and not just viewing you as another resource to pay their bills. You can tell these women truly enjoys what they do and in turn it comes out in the finish product they produce.
So… the first time I got partial highlights. Did I mention the highlights was the exact color of the picture I showed her. In addition to the highlights I got a trim and press. Ok y ’ all. …I have to mention my press lasted until my next two week appointment could have went three!!! Overall. …I am very pleased even my hubby loves the new look.

Kimiya is awesome! She is extremely passionate about her work, professional and friendly. All of her staff are the same way!

I was eating next door at the sushi restaurant. I saw the salon so I decided to check it out. I walked in, unsure if they were able to accommodate me because I am white and most of the stylists are black. But upon leaving, my hair, make up, and eyebrows were all done and looking better than EVER! The atmosphere was was fun and relaxed. They helped me so much and were very professional. Also, while I was in the chair, the woman at the front desk was making a coffee run and asked if i wanted anything. They have earned a forever client. Thank you to Candra for doing an exceptional job on my eyebrows. And thank you to angel for turning my thick curly mess into silky straight beautiful hair.

It has only been one female hair stylist that has attended to my hair for the simple fact that, when a female stylist usually styled my hair it would fall out. Not much, but noticiable. Therefore I only let Male hair stylist attend to my hair. Once I do find a stylist that works perfect for my hair, I stick with them. I moved back home from GA for awhile and needed a temporary hair stylist. Inner Beauty was mentioned by a friend, so I went to the Salon to see what they could do do about my Hair doo. Lol! Needless to say, only female stylist was available. I was definitely having second thoughts, but I decided to step out on faith. Yes God. Fix it Jesus. The female stylist that styled my hair was PROFESSIONAL, PROFITABLE, PLEASANT, and might I add Pretty. It’s one thing to go to a Hair Salon and the Hair Stylist looks like a comb or clipper never touches their hair, then to a Salon Where not only is the Stylist Hair really nice, but makeup is BEAT. What I am saying is, Just like some say Try God, I say Try God and Try Inner Beauty!!! Lol

I came across Inner Beauty after searching Unilocal for a decent and professional salon to get my hair done. That is all I ask… decent and professional. I usually never go to salons because I have very fragile and brittle hair and it needs special attention. Nonetheless, I give this place a try because of the glowing reviews. First thing I notice is the display case with an array of hair products with synthetic ingredients. At that point I realized I should have brought my own hair products.
There was a bit of a wait, but when my stylist was ready, I realized she hadn’t finished her previous client, and I was afraid she was going to try to juggle the both of us. But since I only literally had 3 tracks in my hair, I decided to let her go ahead and take them down. All I wanted was 3 – 4 tracks sewn in so it shouldn’t have taken very long at all. My stylist washed and then proceeded to blow dry without putting enough, if any, moisturizer in my hair. Then she led me to sit under the blow dry bowl thing with my hair completely naked, no moisturizer, no heat protectant.Nothing. The setting was on medium high, and she wanted me to just sit there while she started finishing the other lady’s hair. I was about to have a panic attack. At this point I started not to trust her as a professional stylist. After 5 minutes, I told her that my hair was dry and that I was taking the bowl off or else my hair would dry out and start breaking off, and she got an attitude. Sorry lady, but I know my hair, and I’m not about to come walking out of the salon like a freshly plucked chicken because you overbook your appointments.
At the point when I ran my fingers through my hair and saw pieces breaking off in my fingers, it was time to go. I got up and told her that I’ll just pay for the wash and take down services and asked her where I should pay (since the lady at the front desk must have taken off). She looked a bit surprised, and continued doing the other lady’s hair. I again, asked her for the price. No answer. So it wasn’t until I started making my way towards the front, when an answer quickly summons forth from the stylist’s mouth. $ 35 for the wash and the take down of my 3 extensions, she quotes. I pay, and get the heck out of there.
All I look for in a salon is a decent and professional shop where I can come in and get my hair done without all of the extras. In professional, I mean friendly stylists who understand and CARE about their clients hair, not just there to make a buck. And what I mean by decent, is a nice, inviting shop where owners know how to run a good business and how to hire good employees. While that stylist was openly going on about the bills she had to pay, if she would have simply done her job that probably wouldn’t have taken her any longer than an hour and a half or so, she would have been tipped generously. I give two stars for the take out of my 3 tracks.

Candra did a great job considering we were trying to correct a demon stylists bad haircut. The color came out great and she did a great job with trimming my ends so that despite this haircut my hair looks healthy and now has a fighting chance of surviving and growing out. I definitely will go back to her.

What a beautiful shop I called last minute and was booked next day i was totally sad let down and Angel took me with no hesitation and braided my mohawk it is very neat exactly what i asked for i get compliments alot and i cant thank her for what she did for me i look forward to being a client shes worth it. THANKS AMILLION

There is no way these reviews are real. This place is super unprofessional. I understand that black salons have ridiculous waits, but this place tops the cake. If I have an appointment for 1pm I expect to be seen around that time. I checked in at 1 and waited a good 30 minutes before getting seen… apparently no one knew I was there… ummm I checked in with you at 1. The lady that was doing the braids for the weave was going through a personal issue and kept fighting with someone on the phone… then finally she decides to take it in the back room and rips someone a new one and then begins sobbing… AWKWARD! After the braids were done, the stylist started working on other people…3 hours later I told the stylist Kimya that I did not like the experience and that I was leaving… she told me that she didn’t want me to leave… but the service sucked! So I left… oh she gave me a flat iron for the inconvenience…

I absolutely loved the customer service and how friendly everyone was, even the other clients! I went in for a wash, trim and condition with Candra and within minutes I felt relaxed and not so upset about the state my hair was in previously coming into the shop. Candra made me feel at home and comfortable, her main concern was my hair, which is awesome. After getting my hair done I felt and could visibly see the difference. Candra even braided my hair for free. I got all this for a very reasonable price. I will be going back, and I am happy that I found a hairstylist in Vallejo!

First time here n I love it!!! Lady Candra was my hair stylist n she did an amazing job!!! Price is very affordable … Very friendly n listen well to what u want done… I’ll be back for some extensions !!! CNT wait!!!

Inner Beauty Source is truly the source for beauty. I am a new customer and I must say I was very impressed. The team at Inner Beauty are professional and friendly, they quickly made me feel like I was one of their regulars. The owner, Kimiya is very skilled and I absolutely love my hair weave. Kimiya and her team cared for my real hair as well as installing an incredible weave. It’s not just about styling, it’s also about hair care. I witnessed the team caring for all different kinds of hair and each customer left looking and feeling good. Inner Beauty Source is definitely my new place for my hair care needs. I’m hooked.

Let me start off by saying that Malia is the bomb!!! She does hair and make up and is quick! She does an excellent job and won’t have you sitting in the shop all day. I have been going to her for years now and when I go I let her do whatever she wants to my hair. I get compliments every single time she styles me. I highly recommend Inner Beauty and definitely Malia :)

I recently had my hair done by Kimiya. The shop was easy to find. I’m not sure if it is always really busy or maybe she overbooked, but the service I received (partial sew in) took a long time. I arrived around 5:45pm and did not leave until 10:00pm. I am satisfied with the work, but I’m not sure who now a days has that much time to spend in a salon on a Thursday evening. YIKES! That’s the only reason I gave it 3 stars.
Her assistant did nice work, but she did majority of it. I almost was not sure if I was paying Kimiya or her assistant. The only reason I went to her was because of all the other Unilocal reviews, so I really wanted her tending to my hair the entire time. Kimiya is talented, has a lively personality, and listens when it comes to your hair. That was very appreciated. I think I will give it another shot, maybe just book in the morning. ;-)

My daughter got her hair did here by Candra. She took very good care of my daughters hair and explained to me on how to take care of it. She is such a doll… my daughter and I love her!!! She is from now on my daughter’s to go to person for her hair. My daughter got her hair pressed and trimmed :)

Today I went to Inner Beauty as a walk-​in client. It was a clean, warm, and friendly environment! They greeted me right away, and asked what I was looking for. I had mentioned that Kimmi has rave reviews on Unilocal!They had offered to let me wait for her, and where I loved what I was seeing from her while I was there, I am THRILLED with my results from Candra! She was fantastic! Friendly, a pleasure to talk with (because let’s face it, you go to a salon to chit chat with your stylist), and gave me exactly what I was looking for with little direction! If you’re looking for an awesome cut and color, see this girl! I can confidently say I will gladly return to this salon

I was referred to Kimiya at Inner Beauty by a friend/​co-​worker. And, I’m glad I went out my way from SF to Vallejo! It was soooo worth it.

Some time ago, because of pregnancies (I guess), my hair texture and volume changed. I consulted with Kimiya via text, text pics and, phone conversations and she knew exactly what I wanted. So I made my appt with much enthusiasm! When I got to my appt, I was glad to be treated in such a professional manner, glad to see the establishment was clean, and most important, glad that I was taken care of timely!
As I mentioned, my end result was FABULOUS!!! I get compliments everywhere I go because of my hair!!!
My goal was to walk out that beauty shop looking like I did when I was in my early twenties; with long, full, and curly hair. Kimiya made that happen for me!!!
I will definitely be back to upkeep my full WEAVE!

I have been going to Inner Beauty Source with Kimiya for about 3 years. Kimiya is an extraordinarily creative, knowledgeable stylist. She is great at everything which is rare! She gives a great flat iron/​press, hair cuts are top notch and her weaves are outstanding. She stays at the forefront of the latest and greatest in hair. I can’t wait to try the lace front closures she sells for weaves. She knows so much about hair and good maintenance and will share information and products names without hesitation. She always has very sweet and well trained assistants to help ensure you get in and out of the shop within reasonable time. My experience in the shop is always pleasant. Love her lots!
