Holy smokes! A friend recommended this place to me after I walked in on him eating this delicious plate of heaven, I’m surprised this place has a 3 star. It’s definitely worth a FIVE! It’s perfect for me because it’s so close to work I can literally walk there! Anyways the food is amazing and you guys will be seeing me more often!

I have mixed feelings about this place. I like it because its not your average L&L. They have such a variety of other menu items, not found at any other L&L’s I’ve been to. I’ve been here twice and tried: Garlic Noodles with Scallops — $ 18. You get a lot and it was pretty good but still cost way too much. Poke Bomb and Poke Hand rolls — Eh. I’ve definitely had better. First of all, I felt like it was more minced that it was cubed. The flavor was light-weight there but not enough. S&P Prawns — False advertisement. The picture on the wall made it look like they were grilled garlic/butter kine of prawns. What I opened when I got home were more like tempura prawns. They were just ok, pretty average. Sesame Chicken and Teriyaki Steak — Not bad and pretty tasty. But nothing so special where I’d return just for that. I want to try other items but I’m scared I’ll get something totally different than the picture on the wall. Will give this place a couple of more tries though. Note: If you do know what you want, you should definitely call it in as it does take a while until you get your order.

Started as a tip, but turned into a review. If you are ordering by phone, make sure the one taking the order knows which dish you are ordering. I ordered a «Poke Bomb», which is sushi rice wrapped with nori(roasted seaweed) topped with poke. The girl taking the order was unsure so we had to clarify. When we picked it up, it turns out the the dish was made as regular poke. I wanted to exchange it for a Poke Bomb, but they said they can’t reuse the fish. Well, can you use new fish and get me a damn Poke Bomb. We paid for it already! The cashier needs to know the orders on the walls before working at the register. The rest of the food is good, but this one case left me riled up. I ate the damn poke though. And don’t get me started on being unable to find crispy string beans. She couldn’t find it! At least they didn’t mess up the katsu.

Walked in and ordered BBQ chicken all rice, was told it would be 15 minutes before my order was ready. I had assumed it was due to rice being cooked. I got home and found that while I had got the BBQ chicken I got it with all cabbage and no rice. that’s what I get for assuming my order would’ve been right. I shall check before I leave again next time.

I’m in it for he food, sure you got old furniture and«nasty» pictures of food on the wall, but the food always has been good to me. Five stars to off set the one stars. Isn’t crowded, could use a remodel, and the loco moco is one point! Love the spam masubi. If your are picky on how a restaurant looks, you might as well keep on driving. If you want food, this is the place. I went and it was closed in the middle of the day, went to the Filipino Chinese fusion food spot around the corner. That place had horrible lumpia. Only if L&L was open I would’ve been spared the agony of that lumpia…

The food may be okay or good but the service is THESLOWEST! I ordered two small things and the wait was 30 minutes. Cleanliness needs to be improved as the tables were sticky!

Awful, awful, awful! Let me break it down for you. Food — bleh! Mac salad is more like Mayo salad. You can’t go wrong on grilling but the beef was tough. The rice was good though, LOL. I ask for large fountain drink the dude at the counter gave me regular. Ambiance — what ambiance? Furniture are old and do not match. Tables are sticky. I ask for a wet towel so I can wipe it down and the dude gave me a WTF look. The place looks dirty with that yellow walls and nasty photos. Service — it S.U.C.K.S! The dude is unfriendly. He only smile to someone he knows but not for new customers like myself. It almost like he did not want to take my order or he does not want to be there at all. Dude, you need to loose that backward hat look. You are too old to be fashioning that hat trick. I am surprise he works at the front of the house, he should be in the back room or the kitchen. If Unilocal only allows me to rate it minus stars, I would… settled with 1 star with hesitation. Future Visits — NO. Unless, it’s under new management and has been remodeled.

driving down the street and Hubby decided he was hungry. Found this little gem in a strip mall. The service was very friendly. I got the Mahi Mahi combo meal with double mac instead of rice… will come back again. it was very good

I never a really fan of Hawaiian based Japanese style food, but I enjoyed this place. I came here after my boyfriend was looking for this place. I order many things. I also enjoyed how its convenient for me to get after going to Railey’s. The customer service here is really nice and very welcoming. The food is decent and when you order they are always smiling.

An interesting L&L with a menu selection of nontraditional L&L dishes… possibly to cater to the locals who are seeking more Chinese or Japanese inspired dishes. Frog legs. salt and pepper shrimp. random sushi rolls. and even curry fried rice? yeah… it’s different. As big as L&L is out there… this is a location that’s more a hole-in-the-wall restaurant with L&L menu items and the L&L name. The interior has old dinner tables and seats that looked like came from a thrift store. pretty much all mismatched except for a few uniform restaurant quality tables and seats. The food isn’t horrible, but needless to say it’s not what you would expect if you first walked in expecting to eat at an L&L. The only comment I would maybe say is the mac salad isn’t really on par. and it isn’t too spectacular. It’s pretty much just macaroni pasta and mayo. The BBQ pork wontons are just… weird for me. Used to them in buns. steamed or baked… but fried inside a wonton? that’s just interesting. Musubi. tasty. BBQ chicken and beef? Kinda what I expected. Fried shrimp? those were really nice and crispy. eh. it’s different.

I love this place! The owner gets creative and has so many more options than the other L&L locations. And they have curry fried rice! Crab and cream cheese wonton are a must, with katsu sauce of course! U must try these! :-)

They never burn their food every time we go. It is important because most of L & L we have been to did. It tastes good too so we eat here often. Their big dinning space helps too.

Aye yai yai!!! Basura, basura, basura!!!(English translation… Garbage, garbage, garbage!!!). The food is so poorly made that I’m speaking in another language. The first time I came here, I just ordered the fried salt and pepper tofu. It wasn’t bad, I didn’t hate it. But today my food was AWFUL! I ordered the regular size Bbq Beef Shortribs plate and I was super disappointed. The ribs were tough and chewy, the rice was hard, and the mac salad was literally just noodles covered in mayonnaise. I then tried my dad’s Bbq Chicken and that was also lackluster. Hawaiian food is not supposed to be tasteless and made with lack of care. I am definitely not coming back due to my unsatisfying experience. It’s never a good thing when I leave hungry and disgruntled. Totally do not recommend eating here.

Welp for staters they served me day old rice!!! It was so hard it was like crunching into a rice cake. I ordered the BBQ chicken masubi and a BBQ beef small plate. I basically drowned my meal in Siracha so it wouldn’t taste so bad. I should have know it would be a bad experience with all the picture advertisement of the menu! I mean it was like wall paper covering the whole place. Just tacky and a obvious cry for help. Honestly for a small chain and space I would definitely suggest shrinking the menu down and just getting those meals right before moving forward. Anyways the BBQ beef was completely burnt I mean just awful. Side macaroni was basically mayonnaise and noodles! YUCK. I prayed so hard before I ate this meal, the host lady was staring me down so much, I knew something was up. My fault for still taking that jump. I hoped if it was one thing they did perfect it be my masubi… WRONG! It was awful hard dry and tasteless. Truthfully wouldn’t recommend this L&L to anyone if your craving it the one by the movie theater or make you way to Vacaville. It will be worth the wait for sure!

I would give this place 3.5 if I could. This L&L is unique not only because of it location, but even its décor. You may pass this place and not think twice, but going inside you may even become more suspicious with the décor being a hodgepodge of random items from classic family tables to wicker seats. The menu is just as unique at this L&L. This L&L does offer the standard L&L menu, but if you look on the wall there is a plethora of different and unique dishes. The pictures may not be the greatest, but the ideas and even the execution are good! The bad the price. The unique items are priced, but there a little bubble sticker in the corner of each item that list the price. The wait for the food was a little long, but I believe to be normal at most Hawaiian food chains. I ordered the BBQ duck and my wife the standard chicken katsu because her original order, the kids items and mine came out to like $ 50! So our expectations we’re mixed. We were about to leave because of the price alone, but I decided let’s give it a try. We were both glad we stayed because both dishes were great, even the katsu, which had a unique taste to it, unlike other L&L chains. So here’s the run down: — Unique décor, so to speak — unique food items, good — interesting location and maybe a little sketchy at times — price, can be a little high

Came here with the family and ordered the kauhlua pork, garlic shrimp, crab puffs, and chicken katsu. My wife likes the katsu sauce here over most places. My pork was super salty but still edible, and my daughter’s garlic shrimp was really good. The customer service was great through. There was a pretty girl working the counter who advised me on some choices. She checked up on us constantly and was very pleasant. She made the experience 4 star overall, food was 3 stars.

If you’ve had L & L before, you pretty much know what you’re getting into, right? All your typical Hawaiian fare can be found here. Hawaiian BBQ, hamburger steak, katsu, musubi, cans of Hawaiian Sun, they got all that here. The food? Pretty good? I often find myself here when I have a hankering for a whole lotta BBQ chicken(no sides for me, health nut that I am as of late). At this particular L & L, they also serve what seems to be their own extended menu of sorts. Whole lotta pictures of the different Chinese food dished they serve. I have not been adventerous and tried any of those as of yet, but perhaps that may change soonish. Then again, i’m here for Hawaiian food, so why mess with a good thing, right? This is, all in all, a good joint to hit up for a filling lunch. Oh, and a bonus(for me, anyways!) The young lady who works here during all of the lunch times i’ve been here: soooooo super cute. But I digress, i’m not here to rate a person. Still though… yowza!

For the longest time, I’ve been going to the L&L by the Costco shopping complex in Vallejo. I didn’t even know this L&L was here and it’s actually closer to me! The only downside would be its location. I literally drove around the shopping area twice and had to call this place to ask where it was located. It’s right behind the Jiffy Lube towards Broadway street. The female worker there was really sweet and very helpful with the special menu they have. I love how they have poki! It wasn’t the best poki I had, but for $ 3something, I would buy it again :) I got the salt and pepper pork chops and there was a lot of food. I also got the spam musubi. Compared to the L&L in Vallejo, I wish this place would give more spam in it. There was definitely too much rice. Other than that, there are so many choices on their special that I definitely can’t wait to be back to try the other things.
