History

Established in 1989.

After an internship in Napa in 1989, I fell in love with living on the West Coast, so I made plans to relocate here. I began importing espresso machines from Europe. Production of our own coffee brand soon followed.

I discovered all the new olfactory sensations that roasting releases and, quite frankly, it blew my mind. I remember the first time roasting an Ethiopian coffee — I smelled blueberries and thought I was going crazy!

Many times I am confronted with the question «Do you roast light or dark?» I always answer «We roast RIGHT».

We begin by sourcing the best beans from over 30 different origins, working with only single estate farms and small co-ops to obtain fair trade coffee beans. We then transform the farmers’ work of love, putting as little toast on the beans as possible, but just enough to develop their distinctive and different aromas.
