Carpet Cleaning Pros

Awful… just awful…
I called on Thursday (⁸⁄₁₄) to schedule a technician to clean the air ducts in my home. We just purchased the home last year, and we can tell the ducts haven’t been cleaned in god knows how long. Since I Google’d carpet cleaning in Valley Stream, they were the first ones to come up and I gave them a call.
I spoke to a girl named Emily, and gave her the information needed. She quoted me a price, and it seemed really cheap, but she assured me they would do a good job. They were going to be here Sunday (⁸⁄₁₇) between 12−2pm, and the job should take no longer than an hour and a half. She also said I’d receive a call at about 11:30am on Sunday to confirm. Ok, great.
I have about 15 air ducts throughout the house so I had to not only clean, but also move furniture to get prepped. Well, 11:45 rolls by and nothing. I call the company and they put me on hold while they try to reach the tech. They say he didn’t answer but promise he’ll be there within the 12 – 2 timeframe.
I receive a call at around 12:30 from the tech saying he’s running late at a job, and will be here by 3pm.
Ok, 3:15pm rolls around. Can you take a guess at who hadn’t shown up yet? Come on, I’ll give you 3 guesses…
Call the company back, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand they say «Oh his truck broke down, he’ll be there by 6pm don’t worry».
So, I just sat around all day on a beautiful Sunday waiting for you unsympathetic people to show up at my house to clean my air ducts, and you expect me to wait till 6? When the appointment should have been completed hours before that?
Well, I hung up cause I was pissed. My wife is a better person than me and told me to call back and just cancel. So I did.

The lady on the phone goes «May I ask why you want to cancel???»
Unfortunately, I don’t think the Unilocal staff would appreciate me typing out what I responded with.
I ended up getting another company to come next weekend.
Everyone I spoke to at other companies said that this company most likely wouldn’t do a good job as the price they quoted was ridiculously low ($ 150 for 15 ducts and a unit), and that they said they’d be done in an hour or so. Jobs like that normally take around 4 hours or so.
Spend more money elsewhere and get the job done right!
