Jorege is the owner of HeartStart training, as well as an active Instructor for BLS ACLS and PALS. He started in EMS 20 years ago and was a NYC Paramedic before he moved into teaching. He has taught with the AHA for 10 years and has also taught in Paramedic classes.

Very unprofessional. They had no instructor for class and location I was scheduled for 10 min away from my home. She tried to convince me that another location which I didn’t want was closer and more convenient for me. No refund policy. Beware!

Received my BLS certification from their Manhattan location last week for $ 70 after a coupon code. Which includes a textbook from AHA.
Multiple classes offered daily.
Conveniently located a few blocks from Fulton St station.
Informative and attentive instructors. I had the pleasure of dealing with Carissa and another gentleman from a previous class, both were extremely knowledgeable and confident in what they teach.
The only downside of the experience was that the small suite amidst the business offices there was too small to accommodate all the classes that they want to offer. Half the duration of my class was held right in the waiting area.

I went to the Manhattan location for my BLS renewal. FYI — The class is held in a conference room at OPMI Business School. When i registered for the class the website said that the textbook was included in the price of the class. However, when I went to the class the instructor said that they do not provide textbooks for renewals so I had no book. Luckily, we did not touch the book. The instructor was good and sped up the parts that were repetitive. We were done in less than 3 hours. Overall, not bad.

Excellent place to certify or recertify for AHA PALS, BLS, or ACLS. Accomodating in terms of schedule for skills test. Friendly people. Low pressure and high learning yield environment. I recommend it to my friends. Large parking lot for the building.
