Sunrise Chinese Kitchen

Been coming here for years. This is NY takeout Chinese at its best. Portions are large. Spare ribs are great. In my opinion the best takeout around, and I’ve tried a bunch.

I grew up five blocks from this place and used to come here all the time, its been about 10 years since i’ve been back here and decided to take the trip as I have been searching for a decent chinese place since my local favorite Kim Wong burned down.
Bad move. The food was just blah, low mein was overcooked, rice had too much onion and had a bad water taste… chicken dish was just spicy with no flavor, oh and the worst part of the whole meal was the low mein was sandy… meaning they didn’t clean the veggies. I am assuming its different owners than when I used to frequent the place as I would not go back.
Also, contrary to their claim of not using MSG, its in there as i’ve had pain in my face and my heart has been racing for two hours.
Disappointing.
