History

Established in 1994.

For nearly 20 years, Lucky You Resale in North Hollywood has been buying and selling new and «gently-​used» clothing and accessories.

Idrea Lippman purchased the shop in February 2012. She reworked the entire store, stocking it with wonderfully cool treasures and fabulous fashion finds, interesting gift ideas. Bringing in new items every week! It is a haven for all to shop, relax and enjoy.

For over 25 years with Body Fitness Center working as an fitness instructor and motivator. Still teaching four classes a week in Studio City.

This is my favorite boutique! The owner is oh so sweet and warm hearted. She made sure she looked at every single piece of clothing I brought into her store and gave me reasonable prices for them. This was my first time selling my clothing to a store and I’ll definately be doing it again here! I strongly recommend this shop to everyone. It’s so much better then those bigger shops.

Idrea was super friendly and very helpful for what I needed. Was looking for a 50s, 60s style dress for a photoshoot and found exactly what I needed. And even some jewelry to match. Prices are very reasonable. A lot of neat things here. Thank you Idrea!

This is my favorite boutique in Valley Village by far so I figured I’d cut n paste the review I posted on their Facebook page:
This place is like a lil goldmine where I always find the coolest, most unique jeans, shirts, sweaters, jackets, coats, evening wear, hats, gloves, sunglasses, scarves, leggings, wallets, bags, shoes, jewelry, the most wonderful smelling handmade candles and other great lil gift ideas! You can always find designer clothing– many times with the tags still on. I bought a brand new Michael Kors cocktail dress (with the $ 294 price tag still on) for only $ 25! Nothing in this store is ever over 50 bucks and proprietor, Idrea Lippman always makes everyone who walks in feel welcome and at home. Do yourself a favor and drop by… You really can’t beat this place!!!

I’ll keep it short and simple ~ This place is great! A gem of a store and a gem of an owner. No pressure to buy but with so many great items and very reasonable prices, who can resist? Idrea has changed Lucky You from just a second hand clothing shop into a little haven filled with not only clothes, but unique jewelry, handbags, candles, and gifts. It’s cheerful, relaxed, and lots of fun ~ and really difficult to leave empty handed, lol.

My daughter has been bugging me to take her to this boutique for months — maybe even a year or so. Last week, before Halloween, she told me she saw this amazing Renaissance looking piece. We love vintage shops, thrift stores, and unique boutiques.
So today, we stopped by and found this wonderful gem of a resale boutique. The prices are very reasonable. The selection is really nice for men and women. It’s classy and well curated. Nice hats and accessories Most things look brand new — still with original tags.
The other nice thing is that this place doesn’t smell like a stuffy boutique or one that is over bearing with gagging perfumes or soaps — is it so pleasant.
My favorite things are the artisan candles in recycled wine bottles. The scents are amazingly pure and they are exclusive to this boutique. We bought two — a pear pomegranate and a lavender. Very reasonably priced for the wonderful quality.
They have a nice selection of Three Sisters bath salts, body butter, and other treats that make great gifts to your self or to share gifts with friends just because.
I am kicking myself for driving by for years and not stopping in sooner. Idrea, the owner is the most helpful person. She made us feel so welcome and at home to wander through all the goodies we wanted to. No pressure or hovering in this boutique. Make sure you say hello to Lucy, the store manager. She actually welcomed us first with a wagging tail.

This little shop is packed with a great mix of clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accessories. It would be hard not to find something you like no matter what your taste is, as there are all types of styles and prices represented here. It is my favorite resale shop.
I’ve shopped here for a few years, and the owner, Idrea, and the other gals who’ve worked there are always great to be around. No one pressures you to buy, and a lot of times, I find myself joining in whatever conversation Idrea is having with others in the store. There is usually a dog or two around to visit with also.
Sometimes there are racks of clothes outside the front of the store on the sidewalk that are marked way, way down. The interior of the store is charming. They’ve been there a few years and as I say, they have a wide range of items for for all different tastes and at all price points. Lucky You is just a great little store and well worth a visit!

I don’t wanna be a repeat but like my previous reviewer @Mona, I have driven by this place hundreds of time. I even had a best friend that lived across the street and still managed not to go in. Well, having just left the stables smelling like horse manure and dirt on a Sunday afternoon, I just happen to be stuck behind a cars waiting for the light to change right in front of this little gem, so decided to go in. plus there were clothes on the sidewalk with a $ 5 price tag.
I had no idea what the store was, so pleasantly surprised to find a resale/​consignment store with some hot little modern and vintage pieces. Yes this stinky girl was super happy!!! Idrea the owner is an amazing hostess offering you a nice glass of ice water as you shop. especially on a hot day with a throat full of horse dust lol.
She has a great variety of shoes, jeans, blouses, skirts, belts, hats, even beautifully scented candles (handmade by her boyfriend in old wine bottles)…for men and women. All the clothes were in excellent quality along with brand new items.
Don’t put off visiting this hidden gem on Magnolia Blvd. I hate it took me so long to walk in but better late than never. This is my new go to spot! especially since I walked out the store with stilleto glitter boots in size 10 and a pink fur lined sweater for less than $ 60.

I love this place, it’s a real vintage resale shop, from dresses, shirts, purses, belts, hats, shoes, everything is really cute. They also have newer items too. Place is so homie, the owner is great, so is her dog Lucy. I was in a hurry and only managed to get a purse and two tops but I’ll be back soon!

I’ve passed by this shop inumerable times as I live right around corner. Having lost over 300 lbs, I am still coming to terms with the fact that I can fit I to clothes that aren’t sold in fat stores.
Today I happened to walk by and saw the outside $ 5 rack. I selected a few items and walked inside. I was prepared for a thrift store. Wow, was I shocked! My taste leans towards steam punk couture so I was pleasantly surprised by the selection. I bought a few items, tried on a skirt that I wanted but wasn’t in my budget and went home.
I talked my boyfriend into walking back with me, with some dresses that I thought maybe I could trade as they were too big. Idrea may have taken pity on me but picked two of the dresses and traded for the skirt! Of course I had to point out another skirt I desperately want on payday to my boyfriend and tried on a nice leather jacket (hint hint Xmas is coming).
She also has great shoes, bags, jewelry. …every time I turned around I found more things to look at.
I have a feeling this will be a weekly trip for me to check the $ 5 rack.

The owner is super sweet & the items are reasonably priced, with most being well below $ 50. In fact, most items range $ 10-​$ 20. Easy to find & ample parking behind her shop. A wide assortment of items, in all sizes, but no real high end items here. This shop is for your average person looking for a great deal. Keep in mind, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, I consider it quite a good thing.
Update: I lowered a star bc a «leather» purse fell apart after 5 uses. Clearly not the real deal and like throwing money in the trash. Bummed.

The owner and staff are charming and play great music, hip and mellow.
Clothes are great — and easy to find. I purchased a lot of clothes (work clothes and casual) and the prices were excellent.
There were cookies in the store which made my kids very happy. Parking is easier out back than in the street.
My favorite item were a Calvin Klein work
Jacket and pants. Amazing!
I will be shopping here often.

You will not believe the amazing clothes Idrea sells at such amazing prices. this place has none of the depressing thrift store vibe, au contraire, it’s a cute little boutique with shoes, clothes, accessories and an eclectic clientele. There are candies and sometimes spa water for customers :)
Idrea says it’s a safe haven and she isn’t kidding, it’s worth popping by just for the atmosphere, but when you can get designer jeans for less than $ 30, or a cute prom dress, or amazing sassy shoes, or a nice work outfit, it’s like, JUST GO NOW. I spend all my pocket money from Daddy on clothes from Lucky You :)
It’s also nice how a lot of regulars stop by for a chat and company, it’s such a lovely little meeting place.

I’ve been shopping here for the past decade… lot’s and lot’s of phenomenal pieces!!! From clothing to accessories and shoes and bags!!!
In the last month I’ve purchased 7 dresses, 3 necklaces, 2 hats, 2 pairs of shoes, earrings, a coach bag.. .pants, skirts & spent LESS than $ 200.
I wish I could post pix on here!!! Just wore a recent outfit I purchased here to a red carpet, where I was interviewed on camera and photos taken by multiple photographers. The entire outfit: Hat, earrings, necklace, shirt, skirt and shoes were stunning!!!

I was reading some of the reviews before I wrote this one and learned there is a new owner. So I’m going to give this place another try.
I had a negative experience with the old owner Dina. I called her and described the clothing I wanted to resale. I laundered and ironed all the clothes which would be in the Classics category and walked them in. She bought nothing. She felt these Classics were not trendy enough. She asked me if I was buying clothes to sell her. I said no, that I had visited some relatives who had given me a few items to resale for them, which explained the various sizes I had. I felt she wasted my time and was acting suspicious of me.
Dina had a mentor who taught her the rag business. The mentor would call her and she’d suddenly announce a sale!

This store is a gold mine! Unlike so many resale stores, Lucky You has a full range of sizes, including a ton of stuff the 10 – 16 range. Clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry, and more.
The owner is fantastic. She is super helpful, and all the items are near new if not actually new. The sign says Nothing Over $ 50, but in truth most things are well under that.
I walked in expecting to find maybe one thing, and ended up with a whole new work wardrobe!
