There’s no place quite like Valpo Viennas when it comes to the finest-quality ingredients prepared and served with care and (dare we say it?) love. OK, so we admit it. We’re passionate about our food and you’ll see it and taste it in each and every order.
But here’s the thing: Valpo Viennas is not a «fast food» restaurant. We’re a «fresh, cooked-to-order restaurant» that serves top-quality products cooked to your individual liking.
As the old commercial used to say, «Special orders don’t upset us,» because each and every order is very special to us.
All of our hot dogs, sausages, and other selections are grilled, never steamed or boiled, then nestled lovingly inside a poppy-seed bun.
Your food is never «waiting» for you while being soaked in a pot of water, or «nuked» in a microwave, but is grilled hot and fresh and to your exact liking.
The fact is, that kind of old-fashioned freshness and quality takes a little time, so you should expect (gasp) a slight wait. There, we said it.
History
Established in 2012.
Valpo Viennas was founded from my love of hot dogs and the lack of being able to get both a TRUE Chicago Style dog or a grilled hot dog. They were either boiled or steam and had been sitting for who knows how long waiting to be sold. Poppy seed buns, tomato slices, Chicago neon green relish, sport peppers and celery salt were missing from all of them. So in 2011 I stepped in and started the ball rolling to bring Valparaiso and the Northwest Indiana region the best hot dog in the area. A graduate of the Vienna Beef Hot Dog University Program I bring my knowledge and passion to serve the community only the best tasting, hot, fresh product along with friendly personalized service on a daily basis.

After working over 30 years in the automotive industry the company I worked for relocated our jobs to Mexico requiring over 1000 of us to consider new careers. Being a true hot dog lover and being unable to find what I felt was a great Chicago Style hot dog locally, I attended the Vienna Beef Companies Hot Dog University Course to combine my passion with their knowledge and bring Valparaiso and the Northwest Indiana Region my take of this Chicago favorite.
