Acme Valley Key Service

This was my third trip and I was satisfied each time. On the 1^st trip I had a very unfriendly person but the 2^nd and third times that I had to get a key made. I got 2 very friendly and knowledgeable helpers.
I originally went there simply because they were close by. Now I am very satisfied with their work and I will recommend them.

Wow!!! Most disrespectful business owner I have ever come across! I saw him treat a couple of solicitors which such vulgarities and chewing them out and he even followed them out of his store to neighboring businesses. This overweight individual needs a bath and to take he bi polar medication. What if my keys don’t work and I have to go back to him? Is he going to flip out on me? Screw that!

Super quick service, inexpensive and the keys work. One star reduction because the guy maybe said 12 words to me. Maybe. And he didn’t reciprocate my smile once. It felt like a cold transaction, but at least it was highly effective.

Unless you are out of petrol or have a huge emergency this lock and key place is not for you. The place was filthy, the gentleman at the counter was sorely in need of a bath and his demeanor was quite rude, as exemplified by his throwing the keys down at me on the counter after saying, «I can’t guarantee that any of these will work for you.» Gee, in that case I could have hopped the counter and given key making a try myself. I have tried the keys to see if they actually work and if you guessed that some did not work, you are correct.
I wish this business well and hope it cleans up it’s act before you try it.

The good was that here is a non-​corporate, probably, locally owned business. That and the I got a key made at a good price in good time. Not much for friendly customer service however, hence the two star deduction. It was to the point where I would consider not going back. However, judging from the one and only other review, maybe I caught them on a bad day.

First of all, what’s not to like about a locksmith company that aligns itself with the famous safes that have smashed the skull of Wiley Coyote for decades?
Second of all, I realize getting some keys made at a locksmith and then writing a review of the place is a little like buying shoelaces at a shoe store and then determining the store’s rating accordingly. That’s just not going to stop me from Unilocaling Acme Key & Safe.
Why not? Well, because they made me two key copies in three minutes for three dollars. And, unlike my local hardware store, the keys they made worked the first time! Yay! And the guy behind the counter was both friendly AND sarcastic. Double Yay!
It also looked like these people had a pretty extensive selection of locks and safes. If you have valuables, they can help you. The next time I need some real locksmithing, I’ll call them first!
