I am a general dentist practicing for 39 years. I love what I do! My services include tooth colored fillings, porcelain crowns, mini implants, bridges and extractions. Our office offers a full range of cosmetic procedures… whitening, veneers, vivaneers, bonding and invisalign. We have a periodontist (gum specialist) and an endodontist (root canal specialist) on site so all of your oral health needs can be met in one place. We take all dental insurance and will work with you to obtain the benefits you deserve. We also have no interest financing plans that you can apply for as well as we take all credit cards. For those that suffer from anxiety just thinking about dental treatment, we offer oral sedation to all patients even for a cleaning if they can not deal with dental treatment. This is a pill taken before the procedure that eases your anxiety and makes your dental treatment a positive experience. Please come in and meet our staff and we welcome you to our practice.

History

Established in 1972.

I have been practicing dentistry in Van Nuys, CA for over 38 years. We often see three generations of the same family. I started with the parents, and then their children and now i have the grandchildren. We are truly a family practice. I am a general dentist but we have always offered cosmetic as well as an endodontiist on site and a periodontist as a convenience to my patients so they do not have to travel so far. Many of my staff have been with me for 20 years so we are like a family and we hope you feel that we treat you like family. Please give us a call or come in and see us. We would like to meet you.

I received a BS in Public Health, UCLA, a MPH, a Masters in Public Health at UCLA and my DDS, Doctor of Dental Surgery from USC. I started my practice in 1972 and love what i do for a living. I belong to the American Dental Association, The California Dental Association and The San Fernandoi Valley Dental Society. I donate all of my dental work to The Children of the Night and have for the last 20 years. I am married, have two children and four grandchildren. I enjoy golf, bridge, pilates, and tennis and traveling with my wife Sharilyn.

I visited this office after reading the wonderful reviews and comments. I went in with a partial root canal that our old lousy dentist couldn’t finish and that thinking back makes me feel happy that she didn’t. My root canal was definitely not an easy task to handle but the root canal specialist, Dr Mansoor, was able to save the day. He was so incredibly patient and made me feel comfortable at all times. Despite the time it took, he assured me every step of the way that everything was okay and that he’d make sure I no longer stressed about my molar. He was able to finish someone else’s job and get me on my way to recovery. He gave me instructions on how to care and deal with the aftermath and he even called me a few days later to check on me! I felt like a VIP.
The staff is so sweet and professional. They worked with me with financing and answered all my questions. It’s overall a very comforting place to visit.
I didn’t meet with Dr fields because of my type of procedure but my husband did. He called him a few days before his checkup to introduce himself. My husband says he was just a nice guy. My husband had been told by our old dentist that he had 6 cavities to which Dr Fields disagreed. We are happy that we got a saving opinion!
I just got my permanent cap in a few days ago and I’m quite happy, it looks just like my real molar! And get this… I just got a card from Dr Fields and the office’s behalf thanking is for trusting them with our dental needs. They’re so nice and are very attention to detail.
I highly recommend you to visit this office for all your work needed. They even offer orthodontics. Oh, and they’re awfully close to me so I’m a happy and satisfied patient.

I have not been to the dentist in over five years due to my old dentist overcharging and pushing too much cosmetic dental work. On Saturday, I drove from Alhambra to Van Nuys for my first office visit with Dr. Danoukh. I can honestly say it was worth the drive, his entire staff were very warm and friendly. Dr. Danoukh was very attentive and caring to my dental needs. I highly recommend him and will definitely will be returning.

I had a really positive experience with Dr. Fields. Originally came here because he was covered by my insurance (MetLife) and had really positive reviews on Unilocal.I appreciated that he personally called me for my appointment reminder, but, more importantly, that he performed my regular cleaning himself. He was very gentle, understanding, and didn’t try to shame me about anything in particular, which is an experience that usually turns me off to a dentist forever. I’m not living in LA much longer, but while I do I think I’m going to continue seeing Dr. Fields.

I’ve had several procedures done over the past few months including two extractions and Dr. Fields and his support staff have been nothing short of wonderful. I chose him over other dentists because of the good Unilocal reviews — and even more important when I found a bad one he came on an genuinely apologized to the patient (it wasn’t because of his work which is excellent but he had been hurried one day I think. He has proven to be a great dentist and NO PAIN!

Chipped my tooth over the weekend, just walked in the next next week and Dr. Fields was able to bond it right then and there. In & out in 30 minutes and he was very professional & friendly. Looks perfect :) Highly recommended!

Yaay. The reviews led me to Dr. Feilds and boy were they right! Awesome friendly staff a great and very informative doc… But most importantly the work was great. I chipped my tooth when I was quite young and over the years I have had it fixed several times… I could live with an unfriendly doc and staff as long as I left with a good fix. But this office was an A+ on everything. I have been to my share of fancy dentists in upscale neighborhoods with bells and whistles and state of the art machines… and paid over 500 for the same thing I had done today. Just looking at the work and feeling it with my tongue this is the best job I have had to date.

I had waited for my broken tooth to get infected before finally going to a dentist. Found Dr Fields on Unilocal.Dentist make me nervous but Dr Fields was so sweet and calming. He told me all my options. I went in there for an extraction and because of Dr Fields I decided to save my tooth! Very adorable is a big plus!

Very affable doctor and super friendly receptionist who helped me place my appointment. Heads up, if you have an 8:30 appointment you won’t be able to enter the building until 8:30 or later. No benefit for showing up early if you’re the first appointment of the day. That aside, Dr. Fields was great and even identified a bad filling I had that wasn’t obvious on the X-​ray. After we agreed it would be best to replace it he discovered that there was indeed decay underneath the bad filling. Good catch! The new fillings look great and I’m grateful he was able to discover the problem before it turned into something much worse. I’ll be returning any time I need dental work.

Dr. Fields is awesome! So nice and really puts you at ease. I was skeptical about all of the 5 stars but after my appointment I see why, he was great. Dr. Fields and his staff are by far the best in the business! He will not preach to you like so many dentists tend to do. There will be no talking down. He will quickly and accurately asses your situation, advise and correct it. While some of the equipment appears a bit older (don’t let that discourage you!) than in some dental offices I was at, Dr. Fields easily repaired a few problems that were created by the «fancy equipped» dentist I was visiting before. He truly is a master of his trade! Highly recommended! I have been his patient for over two years now. Very happy!

Very thoughtful employees. They take their time explaining all procedures to you. They make you feel very comfortable. Dr. Fields is a professional and knows exactly what he’s doing! I love my teeth and try to take very good care of them. But I hadn’t been to a dentist in over 8 years. Dr. Fields told me all the dangers of not having your teeth cleaned twice a year and told me some tips and trips on how to keep them extra clean. I didn’t even know how to floss correctly! Thankfully all of my teeth and still very healthy. Not a single cavity! I look forward to my next appointment with dr. Fields. Thanks again for the awesome service! And as a plus, the office is very clean and very well kept. I have found my permanent dentist :)

I HATE DENTISTS. THAT being said I loved going to Dr Fields and the I REALLY enjoyed Parham Mansouri D.D.S. who also operated on my root canal. They have fixed a chipped and decayed tooth that other dentist said I would have to lose and did it with ease.
Novacaine has never worked correctly on me. I have been given up to 9 shots in one sitting in my youth. I told Dr. Mansouri and Dr. Fields this and they noth took their time and made me as comfortable as possible. That is more than I can say for most dentists i have seen.
The prices whee incredible compared to most places in Los Angeles. It is a great find and i hope to stay in the area so I can keep this dentist.
