Green Pros

So we had Roy out to give us a quote Wednesday and we had our grass and project complete by that same weeks Saturday afternoon. I have to say that I doubted that it would go so smooth, but Green Pros exceeded our expectations in every area! The job was not huge, but they treated us great and were very easy to work with. The attention to detail was awesome and the crew that did our grass was top notch. Thank you for cleaning up our back yard and all the cement when you were done. I would highly recommend Green Pros if you are in the market for artificial turf and some landscaping!!! Thanks guys!!!

Unfortunately, my experience with GreenPro started out great with Peter Dockx as the sales person/​designer but went dowhnhill quickly from there. Two stars is for Peter and his design and the price (follwed the DWP rebate). I really like the design and in general the yard will look great when it starts filling in. However, the initial install did not follow the design. Why have a design that gets discussed and approved if the crew just plants things randomly? When I called the main office the same day the job was done to ask for it to be corrected I was bluntly told that wasn’t possible. When I threatened to stop payment on my credit card, Roy Amir called and came out and apologized for the guy at the main office. He had someone came the next day and rearranged the plants. Problem solved but not without encountering very unprofessional behavior from the main office.
Then within a few days a couple of the plants on the median died (not sure if it was irrigation issues or bad plants), so I contacted Peter and he said he forwarded my request for replacement plants to the main office. It took a couple of weeks for anyone to come out and in the meantime an irrigation pipe had burst and water was streaming down our front lawn. So when they did finally come back, they fixed the pipe but didn’t plant the plants in the correct order (to the design). I emailed Peter again to ask if someone could come and switch them around. Took another 10+ days to get someone out and this time for some random reason (total lack of communication I’m assuming), the right plants were removed and they planted the wrong plants!
So yet another email to Peter and after a week of crickets on the latest request, I was at my wits end and Peter told me to contact Leslie, who does scheduling, or Roy. Leslie told me she put in a request with the crew but she couldn’t do anything else about it now. Not helpful. I emailed Roy as I was told his voicemail was full and couldn’t take any more messages. I asked if they could please just finally replace the two plants in question with the correct plants in the correct order, and also check the water pressure as I now fear that the low water irrigation may cause future water leaks (which resulted in a water bill that was twice what it was when I had grass) and that a pressure regulator might need to be installed. Another 10+ days go by and Roy finally emails me and the next morning, without notice, a half dozen guys show up and start turning the water on and off and seemingly randomly cutting lines and replacing nozzles but no one told me whether the water pressure was correct and no regulator was installed.
Leo, the crew lead, showed up 10 minutes later as the other guys were messing with the irrigation. He basically gave me several ridicuous excuses as to why they can’t seem to get the right plants planted. He said he didn’t have the one plant I needed (althought it was clearly requested several times), but regardless, even thought he can’t tell what the one plant is because all the leaves have fallen off, it’s the same height so it’s probably the right plant (WTF?). He then went to the back of the truck and pulled out a plant and said this one is definitely right for the other plant. Oh and you guessed it, once it started flowering, it’s not the right plant! Unbelievable.
I now have yet another email into Roy and have been waiting for a response as to the status of my water pressure and to finally get the two correct freaking plants planted in the median. I have never written a bad vendor review on Unilocal or anywhere else, but needless to say, I will never recommend GreenPros to anyone.

Roy contacted me shortly after my Unilocal post explaining that he was told by his crew that the job was done well and I was happy (which I wasn’t) He vowed to correct the situation, that he doesn’t do business like that. I appreciate a businessman that is willing to correct a bad installation and do right by things.
Roy promptly sent out his foreman to talk with me and fix the installation. A new crew showed up that was a lot more professional. I had them remove all of the mulch which I found had some type of white fungus or mold growing on it between the dirt and mulch. They installed new plants for the ones that died and fixed the broken sprinklers. They also cleaned up the job site before they left which was great. A much more pleasant experience this time around.
I can’t give 5 stars since the first go around was a hassle.

I was so happy to save the water !
But ! That means no water? They put damn water system for the plants almost water never dropped ! Also they put very small plant that’s why easy to die .
Most of the plants has been dead now. I call them to fix the problem many times. Of course They never show up. And End up I fixed it my self !
They got money from the city I right ?
I hope city has to check it later !

I gifted my grandmother a turf front yard today and couldn’t be happier with Green Pros. They were professional-​perfectionist, their high-​end turf looked exactly like real grass and their speedy assembly blew my mind. They installed in a few hours and made the house look much more beautiful. The staff was extremely pleasant to work with. I highly recommend them and feel so excited about the money she will be saving as a result of this investment and how it will benefit the environment as well.

Had a great experience with this Company from beginning to end. It was a delight working with Jennifer Perich with the design. Promptly did all the paperwork and submissions for the LADWP rebate. Very pleased with the installation and outcome. Ivan knew how to work with the design and how to make it look good. It turned out really beautiful.

Very professional and friendly. They sent Leo’s crew of 7 over today and completed the whole job in one day. The guys were very patient and went beyond what was expected of them. Love what they did to my front yard.

It was a pleasure doing business with Roy Amir at Green Pros. Honest and ethical, he not only listened to what we were hoping our yard would look like, he made it happen. He gave us a front yard that appears to have depth and movement. The plants are young but when they begin to mature it will be much more beautiful than our water thirsty grass ever was. The gentlemen who did the actual landscaping were precise and hard working, keeping the area as clean as possible while working on the yard, Unlike a lot of the other drought resistant companies who want $$ upfront, Green Pros, complete and file all of the DWP rebate paperwork for you. Once approved, Green Pros transform your yard, even before they receive the rebate from DWP — Its a win-​win situation. Without reservation, I highly recommend Roy Amir and Green Pros.
