Joe was great. He had to order a part and he even came on a long holiday weekend to install it. All was done on time as promised and he took time to explain everything in detail. I highly recommend him.

Alex was here I had two faucets leaking in master bathroom and I had a mainline stoppage he came very quick took care of the faucets and for the mainline he had to call get a authorization from American home Shield because he found that there is roots in the line he ended up replacing my whole sewer line with affordable price thanks for the company for great service

We called him via our home warranty and he was absolutely not helpful. He said he could not access anything to help clear a blockage within the home. He refused to use a camera or equipment. Instead he said it was his «experience» that mattered. He was very rude when asked to explain the problems with our plumbing. I called another plumber who used his camera and was able to clear the blockage from within the home.

I don’t normally leave reviews unless I think a company truly deserves a positive or negative review, but Neighborhood Plumber is the most reliable, efficient, and professional company I have had the pleasure of working with. To top it all off, they are so personable, and Harry was a joy to meet and work with. I will be calling them back for all of my plumbing needs without hesitation going forward. Recommended to all of my family and friends and I recommend you do the same.

Last January 2015, I had a lavatory drain leak in my home in Northridge, CA. This company Neighborhood Plumber & Rooter, was referred by American Homeshield (home warranty company), to repair the lavatory drain leak in my home. Instead of repairing the leak properly, they used glue instead! Glue, that’s right you are reading this correctly. Their repair man didn’t bother to tell me he was using glue to repair the leaks.
How did I find out they used glue, well guess what, it leaked again! So I called American Homeshield and they sent another plumber (not Neighborhood Plumber & Rooter). The other plumbing contractor discovered that glue was used to make the repairs.
I’ve called Neighborhood Plumber & Rooter 3 times and no return phone calls. Spoke with the girl in their office Vanessa and she said Harry would call me. Harry never called. Finally, got a hold of Harry and he said he would come out and take a look at it.
I decided to get another plumbing contractor that one of my friends recommended and he completed the repairs by replacing the broken pipes with new ones for ½ the cost that was quoted by the other plumbers.
Am I expecting too much to have a professionally licensed plumbing contractor complete repairs the right way the first time?
Doesn’t anyone take pride in their workmanship?
It’s a bad sign when a companies employee completes bad workmanship and even a worse sign when they don’t care to return your phone calls.
Find another plumbing contractor and stay away from this one.
BTW after posting this review I keep getting calls from Neighborhood Plumber, too late isn’t it?

Joe was very responsive to my family’s need when we were displaced from our home. We saw him the same day we discovered our plumbing issue and repairs began immediately. Joe kept me informed throughout the process, showing me video scope diagnosis and showing me the issues that needed repair. He also walked me through the repair process and was very thorough about keeping me in the loop. Joe is also very kind and appreciates that I was under stress and helped me feel at ease. I could not be more grateful for the hard work by the team Harry brought over tonight. He, Alex, and another worker were able to get my home back to a place that I could use water again. I have more work to be done in the future and will definitely call them! The three were professional, hard-​working, kind, and honest. they are just the money sucker. Dont even try because the staff dont even care ur problem they just come to get the check esp if they work for the home insurance. after this insident
today, harry called me n trying to solve the problem w/​his staff.

I had a plumbing emergency and called this company. It was late afternoon and the guy showed up and finished the job. I was loosing a lot of water and if it wasn’t for this company i would have had a huge bill for my loss water. The plumber named Vinnny was professional and knowledgeable. He was easy to work with. 5 Thumbs up!!!

AHS referred me to Neighborhood Plumer & Rooter. Although they couldn’t come out on a Friday night, Harry gave me advice on how to fix or at least control the badly leaking water expansion tank by phone. He didn’t have to spend time on the phone with me to do this but he did and I greatly appreciated his help.

Vinny was in a rush from the moment he entered my unit. It was as if he had somewhere more important to be. He was quick to say no he couldn’t do the job and was ready to dash out as if there was a fire in my unit. I didn’t understand it! I asked him to replace my bed to its original place since we had to move it and he huffed then pushed my bed against the wall leaving it crooked. I couldn’t believe the poor service! Then to top it off he leaves me a bill to pay for… nothing. He did absolutely nothing. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because the owner of the company called me to apologize but regardless, my interaction with these people has been A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.

Like other reviewers, we were assigned to Neighborhood Plumber through our home warranty company. We had a broken water heater that needed to be fixed. They did respond within the 24 hours that the home warranty company had promised, though it took forever for them to show up to look at the thing (hence I’m taking out one star). A guy named Alex called my husband bright and early at 8am to say he’d be out between 12 and 3pm (ok, great!), but then didn’t end up coming until after 6pm and 2 – 3 follow up calls. But hey, better late than never, right? He did say he was very delayed at a previous job and I can believe that.
Anyway, so Alex came together with another guy, they looked at the water heater and basically told us that it was bust (it was leaking gas when turned on — scary or what?) and needed replacement. Not only that, but he’d need to do additional work to bring it to code and to current legal standards, which would cost us money out of pocket, as our home warranty wouldn’t cover everything. He gave us a rough estimate, but he said he’d also talk to the warranty company to find out exactly what would be covered. Turns out we had to pay $ 400 less out of pocket than what originally quoted, as Alex was able to verify coverage with our warranty and they ended up covering more than we’d originally thought. It was still a considerable amount we paid out of pocket, but at least not as much as we prepared ourselves for, which was a gain. And if we were going to have a big-​ish expense like that, might as well have it done properly by knowledgeable professionals and make it safe for us.
Alex and his work partner came back the next day with a brand new water heater which was promptly installed, the old one removed and taken away, and all additional work to bring it up to code done, all within about 90 minutes. And we were thrilled to have hot water again after 3 consecutive nights of taking showers with cold water or having to boil water to take a warm shower! All in all, we had a good experience with Neighborhood Plumber and would use them again.

Neighborhood Plumbing was assigned through our home warranty company. I’m always wary of the quality of the contractors they use because so many are so poorly reviewed. But I was very pleasantly surprised by this company.
The owner, Harry, was knowledgeable, honest, accessible, and always courteous. And the work they did was great. It was actually a pleasant experience.
We are very comfortable and satisfied with this company and won’t hesitate to call them again.

They are very dishonest. Nice guy, but they tried to get away with adding extra work that was not required. I am sure they do good work but tricky. A water heater should never cost 2k fully installed. They were billing me 900 and then turning around and billing the insurance another 1k. Ah too suspect for me. Just saying though.

Well my warranty company referred me to Neighborhood Plumber and Rooter, and I spoke with Joe, who was at my house in 10 minutes. I had someone home waiting for him, and he called me when he was done. He replaced the entire plumbing under my kitchen sink and snaked the drain. When I asked him how can I get the 60 dollar check to him, he said don’t worry about it, the warranty company will bill me. He could not be more informative! I asked him about two other issues in the house, which he explained how these items worked, and whether they were covered or not. He made suggestions as to what he would do if it was his house. Joe is a really nice, dependable, honest guy! I have had a couple other plumbers over the house in the last year… that the Warranty Company sent over, but by far… this is the best and I will ask for them from now on.

You Guys! Seriously I could not be more grateful to Harry for coming out today and clearing a very stubborn patio drain.
When I first called and spoke to Neighborhood Plumber & Rooter, they were very honest about the possibility that this problem would not be fixed with their efforts as apparently outdoor patio drains are made of the most delicate of plastics so fragile, in fact, that you should whisper when you’re near them so as not to upset or damage them. While he stressed over the phone the odds of a successful unclogging of this drain was like 20% I thought… you know what, I like those odds and I’m feeling lucky. So I called my bookie, placed a bet on that (and the Niners/​Raiders game while I was at it) and then waited for the plumber to arrive and make me a winner!
Harry showed up and brought out the big guns – the «Rolls Royce» of drain snakes he said. Upon hearing Rolls Royce I had hoped it would be covered in silver glitter and have like a tiny Liberace riding on it, but I’m now under the impression that this means it’s of superior quality. My disappointment in not getting to meet Tiny Liberace aside, he got to work. First with a small blade attachment, and then bigger, and then like something that could have made whole gallons of blended margaritas with one turn of the blade… ooh margaritas, that gives me an idea… be right back.
Ok. Where was I. Something about something and a plumber? Who cares these margaritas are DELICIOUS!
Oh yeah that drain. Well after an exhaustive effort I’ll tell you what, Harry showed that drain who the Boss was… granted at the time I didn’t understand why Harry wanted to show the drain his extensive collection of Bruce Springsteen CDs, but whatever works right?! By the time Harry was done, that water was flowing down that drain and out to the curb so fast I thought «Dang it! If only Tiny Liberace was here… he would have had a helluva good time riding this tiny little waterside.»
While I hope I don’t need a plumber any time soon… if I do, you can bet I’m calling up these guys. They came within 2 hours of my call and stuck with it till the job was done successfully! Doesn’t get better than that!

I love Neighborhood plumber and rooter. Great service and very reasonable price. We’ve used them several times and would not work with another plumber.
