I went to the Sun Valley Lab location for blood work but needed to fast. I was told to come in to day between 830am-​1230pm. I got there at 11:59am and was told by Martin that he could not draw blood that I needed to come in on Monday because it takes him 40 mins to work the blood. I told him there is no sign stating that last blood withdrawal needs to be done 40 mins before closing. I NEVER HEARD OF SUCH OF THING. He did not care. I asked for supervisor. He stated I needed to go next door but of course theyre closed for remodeling. DO NOT GO TO PRIMEX! HE WAS JUST SITTING DOING NOTHING! It takes less than 5 mins to withdraw blood! Lazy old bastard!!! DO NOT GO THERE!
PPL GO TO QUEST DIAGNOSTIC MUCH BETTER WORK ETHICS. THAT’S WHERE IM GOING. I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH QUEST DIAGNOSTIC. The Reason I went to Primex because I was refer since they’re in the same bldg as my doctor. NEVER AGAIN!

Complete idiots. Same as below reviews, these a**hats were sent bloodwork from my urgent care, didn’t charge my insurance but instead started sending me bills for $ 300 to an address I haven’t lived at for 3 years. Their workers are all rude, irresponsible fools.

Awful. This lab handled some blood exams for me which my insurance was to cover. Instead they charged me. My insurance company and myself told them numerous times to send my insurance company a bill. I spoke to their billing department and they had been sending me a bill to an address I lived at three years ago. They can not email a bill, or pay online. A collection agency contacted me and I disputed the charge. Eventually the lab learned how to talk to my insurance company and the bill was paid. Their collection agency still reported the $ 170 bill to my credit report, hurting my score. Everyone I spoke with in Primex billing has an attitude of power, and that billing disputes are never their fault. I’ve filed a report with the Business Bereau. If your considering having work done here, dont.

I visited Primex today for a routine blood draw. This facility was very clean and the staff was very friendly. As I always get nervous to get my blood work done they were able to make me feel comfortable and make this experience as painless as possible. I was able to walk over to the billing department and make a payment to eliminate being billed later. Billing department was very welcoming and cleared my balance after I paid them the fees. It was nice having them fax the results over to the doctors office without me having to worry about it!

Primex has the friendliest staff! Took my 8 year old to the Glendale office and the staff made him feel so comfortable thanks to the Phlebotomist. As a mother it’s really important for my son to walk out happy and not scared. Thanks!

If you don’t let people pay online, at least answer your damn phone during your stated business hours.

They don’t allow you to pay your bill online. I asked over the phone if online payment was a feature they’d have in the future. They said no. I don’t know why they make it so more complicated to accept payment. I will be asking my doctor’s office to use a different lab.

First off this lab is located in an industrial park with HORRIBLE parking. Spent 15 minutes driving around and eventually had to find parking far down the street. But thats fine… it happens.
I dont have insurance and I called lots of places ahead of time for a straight cash price. So when they gave me a quote over the phone, I asumed they would honor it when I arrived.
THIS PLACE IS THE DEFINITION OF CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH.
When I got there the price suddenly was over twice the amount quoted. When I explained to them I was quoted a different price the lady just said «Ooops Im sorry». Well me too. I dont do business with crooks that try to cheat people into doing business with them. Im sure lots of people just resign to the «oh well, Im already here lets just do it», but Im not that kind of person.

We visited Primex twice in early June 2011 for lab tests for my newborn son. Since we do not have health insurance, we were quoted a cash price for each visit by the phlebotomist, which we paid in full, and have the receipts to prove it. We have now been harassed by Primex for over six months regarding those visits.
Primex has made a long series of harassing phone calls and mailings trying to collect payment (which was already paid in full). Primex claimed that they performed additional lab tests that were ordered by our doctor, which we had not yet paid for. We then provided a copy of the doctors orders, which clearly showed that the additional tests were NOT ordered by our doctor. If additional tests were performed by Primex, it was their mistake, and not our financial responsibility.
Next, Primex claimed that we had not paid for the two visits to their lab. So we faxed the receipts for each visit. These receipts clearly show that payment was made, with ZERO BALANCE DUE. Primex then had the gall to state that they did not show a record of payment for the first visit, and asked if they could charge our credit card again… OF COURSE NOT!
At this point I informed their billing manager (Linda) that Primex was in possession of our receipts and doctor’s orders, and further contact from them regarding this compounds their harassment…
So we today received yet another bill from Primex in the mail. It includes charges for the aforementioned extra labs that WERE NOT ordered by our pediatrician. It also states that they will send the bill to collections and report it on our credit score. This is in clear violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
We have filed complaints against Primex with the California Department of Consumer Affairs, the Better Business Bureau, and I am now posting this review on Unilocal.Hopefully it will inform future potential uninsured patients to AVOID THIS LAB.
