Shakar bakery has done it again! She has been making the cakes for almost all of our special occasions and today she made the 2^nd birthday cakes for my twin boys. They were a huge success! The cakes were delicious and fit in perfectly with the construction site theme. Thank you Shakar Bakery for being reliable and consistent! Our events are not complete without your signature touch.

My wedding finally came and went and Shantal did NOT retire. I really wanted a different type of cake for my wedding. I think the only thing I told Shantal was upside art deco lol. She filled in the rest. I gave her full creative control because I trusted her. Everyone loved the cake at the wedding and it tasted AMAZING! Thank you Shantal for everything!

I have had all kinds of delicious baked goodies from Shakar and they have all been wonderful, I finally had the opportunity to order for myself for my birthday Tea Party. I asked for cupcakes and left the rest up to her. I’m so glad I did what she created was Wayyyyyyyyy cuter than anything I could have come up! Not only were they incredabily pretty they were delicious too! The hazelnut frosting was esp delicious!

I ordered wedding favors (chocolate covered oreo’s) for my sister’s wedding! Shantal is really sweet and was always quick to respond to my emails. The oreo cookies were really pretty and everyone enjoyed them. I thought they would be fully covered in chocolate, but it was only the top portion of the oreo. This actually worked out so much better because the chocolate wasn’t so overwhelming. Perfect! She recommended a place to order cute little boxes for them, so I purchased those and she did the assembling. All her other work looks so amazing! I look forward to being able to place more orders for her creations in the future! =)

I found Shantal back in 2013 on Instagram and after seeing her posts I knew she had to make my wedding cake. I asked for nautical/​ocean and she gave me exactly what I dreamt of. I contacted Shantal for my daughter’s 5^th birthday. It was a Sound of Music theme. She was fantastic to work with! Very patient, even when I needed to add more cupcakes and cake pops at the very last minute. The colors were right on, the flavor was amazing and the detail was impeccable. I posted the pic of the cake and the cupcakes. I can’t wait for an event to work with Shantal again!

For my wedding I needed a cake that would be unique, different and a showstopper. Shantal did NOT disappoint. Shantal created a chandelier cake for us. From our first meeting until my wedding day she was professional, full of creative ideas and just a joy to work with. Not only that, the cake was absolutely delicious. WE are constantly getting asked who made our cake. THANK YOU SHANTAL!!! Everything was amazing.

My girlfriend surprised me with this cake for my 30^th birthday. All I told her was that I like chocolate and I wanted the theme to be «Dirty Thirty». Going off of only those two criteria she worked with Shakar Bakery to produce a masterpiece (including the tasty olive-​shaped cake pops). Everyone at the party was impressed!!! The design was very impressive and the taste was spectacular. If you’re looking for a baker to work with you to make your dream cake, Shantal is your girl. I’m going to remember this birthday for a long time to come.

We ordered our wedding cake from Shakar bakery and loved it. I adored that cake with all my heart. When we met the owner «Shantel» we knew she was great from the moment one. She is a careful listener, a brilliant mind, and a solid & persistent personality who is combination of an artist and a scientist. She delivered exactly what we asked for. As for the taste, her cakes taste like home-​made with an unusual texture (only achieved in homemade baking) with just the right amount of sweetness! Also, I wanted a hard-​to-​make ruffles and vintage looking laces on the cake and for sure she made them perfect.
I can’t wait to order my husband’s birthday cake from her again!

Hired Shakar Bakery to make a cake for my daughters birthday and baptism. Each cake was perfect. Delivered exactly what she said she would and beyond. The cakes tasted so good. One layer was decadent and the other light and sweet. Her price was affordable and her service was great! Will definitely use her services again.

We hired Shantal to bake a cake, cream puffs and cake pops for a party celebrating our son’s first tooth. To say her creations were delicious and gorgeous is an understatement! She is pleasant and was extremely patient despite the fact that we made several changes to the design and order along the way. The pumpkin chocolate chip cake i ordered from Shakar bakery was the highlight of my family’s Halloween night. Not only was the cake delicious, it had a perfect balance of sweetness and texture. The vanilla sage frosting is to die for. and let me tell you, i am someone that usually does not eat cake… in fact i never do because most bakery’s use over 100 ingredients of garbage. But this place uses quality ingredients and the final products show. Thanks again Shakar Bakery!

Shakar Bakery is absolutely THE BEST!!! The cakes and desserts are not only delicious, they are gorgeous!!! I’m a fan for life!!! I will never order another cake from anyone else because Shakar Bakery is the best there is!!!
Shantal is the also sweet herself, an amazing person, and exceptionally good at what she does. She did the cake and dessert for my wedding and I can honestly say those were my favorite things. We ordered the Dulce De Leche cake which is to die for. It was not just delicious but the MOST BEAUTIFUL cake I have ever seen! I was totally blown away by it. Shantal was the most professional vendor I have ever worked with. Before the wedding, she confirmed everything with me and I didn’t have to worry about the cake or dessert at all. When I arrived at my wedding, the cake was my favorite part. I couldn’t stop staring at it. It was stunning!!! I say say enough about the beauty. On top of it, it was delicious!!! Shakar Bakery is by far the BEST out there!!!

5 stars! I’d give her 10 if I could double up. Her creativity, quality, personality, skills and prices are unmatched. An easy, pleasant, kind experience. Shakar bakery overdelivers and exceeded any expectation I had. Simply awesome!

So many good things to say about Shakar Bakery and Shantal the owner/​baker. Shantal made an amazing 3 layer cake for my fiancé and his sister’s birthday 10÷2012− Nightmare Before Christmas-​themed vanilla cake with chocolate ganache and top layer pumpkin flavor muffin/​cupcake with cinnamon frosting. After a lot of back and forth messaging (due to picky eaters and ever-​changing ideas for the look of the cake and event date– she was so understanding, patient, and easy to work with) we ended up with the most delicious, moist cake made with free-​range eggs and grass-​fed cow milk and butter. Shantal was so accommodating to my fiancé’s request that the cake not have very much fondant on top, that she re-​designed the cake to figure out how to keep it moist while still using the smallest amount of fondant. However, after tasting the fondant she had used for decorating, it was so delicious, we wished there had been more! Note to self for next time, definitely go with her suggestions. I was so happy communicating with her throughout the design process and eating the final cake– YUM! Everyone at the party loved the cake and my fiancé really enjoyed having his own personal pumpkin muffin on top.
For my bridal shower ³⁄₂₀₁₃ Shakar Bakery set up a sweet table (in collaboration with Paper&Fondant for the decorations). Once, again, I was so very impressed with Shakar Bakery– the sweet table went so so perfectly with the orange and white theme of the shower. I was also able to pick up the cellophane bags from Shantal ahead of time so I could add personalized stickers to them. I’m so glad I ordered extra candies and chocolate covered oreos– there was pretty much nothing left of the candies and oreos by the end of the shower. Success!
Finally, I went back to Shakar Bakery once again in 9/​2013, this time for cupcakes for my fiancé’s birthday. Once again, flavor and presentation went above and beyond our expectations– flavors I ordered were: Chocolate Dulce De Leche, Red Velvet, Classic Chocolate, Orange Blossom, Peanut Butter, and Dark Chocolate Guinness. Each one was better than the one before it. So moist and delicious.
We look forward to doing business with Shakar Bakery again and again in the future.

I’m not a pastry expert by any means, but am fortunate enough to be able to consume quite a bit of it throughout my days. The first thing I taste with any cake is *freshness*. Before any flavor profile or trendy icing fondant whatever messes with my taste buds, this is usually my all-​important first impression. I guess it’s a combination of moistness and that just-​right sponginess that good cakes have. Mix in a bit of layering to give the cake a bit of dynamics, and I’m a happy guy. If these criteria are met, I’m a happy, easy-​to-​please cake inhaler.
Recently tried a HUGE piece of Shakar’s «Chocolate Dulce De Leche». Maybe 50 000 calories worth. First thing, as mentioned, was freshness, spot on, and already with a great first impression. Next, there was some bit of choco-​sauce veneer in between the two chocolate pieces. Not sure what exactly was going on, but it offered just enough change-​up to make the cake delicious and enjoyable to eat.
The cakes are pricey, sure, but there’s a level of quality for me that’s along the lines of «shut up and take my money». If it’s this good, who cares? And i’ve had cakes at places (Alcove!) that cost a ridiculous amount and have been totally let down. Shakar is a welcome change. I hope to be able to try all the other varieties at some point as well!

We love Shakar Bakery! We had a Christening cake made for our baby boy and it was the talk of the party! Not only did the design WOW the guests, but once we cut into it, the taste made us all love it even more!

She made my ‘kikay’ cupcakes for my 25^th birthday. Very flexibe, nice and sweet. I am very pleased of her creation. Oops, did I mention the taste? 4 people finished 8 regular cupcakes and 20+ mini cakes in no time. So now, I’m pledging cakes/​cupcakes for my friends parties this year and I’ll be ordering it from here! :)
